I will never go to this restaurant again. I have had multiple problems with both the quality of the food and the service. I have received spring rolls that were atleast a day old as the wrapping had hardened and become inedible. Today i placed an orded with no onions and the meat on the side which was explained to them was due to allergies. I watched the person write the requests on the ticket but when i received the food the meat was with the order and it had multiple types of onions mixed in. When I placed a call to complain the person who answered handed the phone off to another person w/o say so and the manager kept interupting me and yelling at me while i was trying to explain my problem. He then hung up on me when i told him it was unprofessional for him to continue to interupt me while i was speaking. The service is rude and lazy and the food itself is below average. The Absolute worst imitation of pad thai and a flavorless pho broth. This place was both a waste of money and time. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! If zero stars was an option thats what id give them. Go somewhere worthwhile and save yourself the dissappointment.

I love this place! I can only recommend the Pho because I cant bring myself to order anything else when Im in a Vietnamese restaurant. Pho is just too dang good. I like the thin sliced brisket pho, then add in some lime, plum sauce, cilantro, mint, bean sprouts, and chili sauce. You gotta have a little bit of all the fixins! Their small bowl is only $6 and is incredibly filling. If youre absolutely starving or you can eat a freakish amount, you can get the large bowl for not much more. The small is perfect for me and you cant beat that price. Service is great, the waiters/waitresses dont check up on you really but they take your order quick and bring the food out quick too! Love this spot and Ive gone many, many times and will continue to stop in. Pho on a cloudy NW day cant be beat.

Went in right before lunch time so there was only a couple people in the restaurant. The greater took me to a table right away threw the menu on the table and walked away before I could say anything didnt ask if i wanted anything to drink. Although I already knew what I waited about 20 minutes for someone to come take my order when no one showed up I walked up to the front desk only to find the guy talking on the phone. I ordered and the food came out pretty quickly. It tasted good but had very little chicken so basically I paid $10 for a of bowl of broth and noodles. Not worth it. The waiter did not check in or come back to give me the check. Food is overpriced but decent. service was horrible.

From the moment we stepped in, it felt rushed. The server rushed through ordering, and when he asked if we needed any drinks, he just asked and walked away from the table. The food itself was tiny portion, warm temperature, and very bland. Ive never had a Kung Pao Chicken where even ketchup would have spiced it up. The guy then disappeared the whole meal until bringing the checks. And the price for lunch was well above the average price for anywhere else nearby. Shocking in the middle of a college campus. This is my first, and last, time going to this place and I hope other people have a better experience, because I was extremely unimpressed.

I live relatively close to this place, and I was very excited to finally try it. This was to be my first pho experience in Portland, having just moved down from Seattle. I was extremely disappointed with the quality, and service. If youre looking for a easy, traditional pho experience, this is not the place. The condiment set up was a hassle, the pho itself was subpar and expensive, and the portions were tiny. Im not sure if Im just used to pho in Seattle, but this did not meet my level expectations whatsoever. I wasnt sure of how hard it would be to screw this dish up, but they did a good job of doing just that.

For the $12 price I had literally half of the portion I would get at any other similar place. Everything was pre-made, egg rolls were burnt, two shrimp TOTAL and barely any meat and the cucumbers were frozen and otherwise not fresh... There were ants crawling around the dining area and table. Overall a very lackluster experience. Look, I know they have a high rent to pay but at $12 for half a portion, its sure hard to not feel totally screwed for the money. My experience with the Thai place next door is overall much better fresher cleaner etc. Why doesnt the health Dept pay these guys a visit?

Im a big fan of pho, and I decided to come into Thanh Long for a quick bite to eat on my lunch break. I had intended to order a "super bowl" (pho), but when I realized the price was $11.50 I changed my mind. Thats $2.00-$3.00 more expensive than any other pho restaurant Ive been to. I ended up ordering a large pho with beef brisket for $9.50. What arrived at my table was the blandest bowl of pho Ive ever had. I tried to add some flavor with the provided garnishes, but it was pointless. It was like eating a bowl of brown dishwater. Ill take my business elsewhere next time.

First off I love the atmosphere here. Quiet with pleasant music and very pretty decorations. It was a lovely place to relax and read with my wife. The food was also very good. We love pho and this definatly tickled that fancy. The service was also very nice. While they dont seem to have the waitstaff to tend tables like a chain resteraunt its not really a problem. Just go to the front counter or flag someone down and they get you what you want promptly. As long as you dont need to be waited on hand and foot you shouldnt have any problems.

I have gone to this place a few times. Usually their food is good, although a bit overpriced. Today I got some noodle something or other, and a strawberry smoothie, well when they gave it to me, the strawberry smoothie was only about 3/4 full, and the noddles were in this tiny little box, and the entire order cost 18 dollars, which is WAY over priced for what I got, it was worth more like 10 dollars. Anyway, try the thy food restaurant right behind this place, their food is good and they have better prices.

While I have a sampled Pho from a decent amount of places, this place probably ranks in one of worst places that serves. When people list Pho as small, its usually still pretty big, at least for me, and I cant finish it. Here its definitely small, like cereal bowl small, if that. That, and the small was more expensive than a normal size that Ive had at other places.

The yellow bean pastry was delicious! When my kiddo inquired as to the difference between yellow bean and red bean we were offered samples. Wow, that little taste knocked our socks off! It sold us three pastries instead of the one I was considering before (one for each of us). Ill certainly be ordering it again the next time I dine here! =)
