My wife and I went to Ray this evening. We started off with the coffee braised egg, beet hummus and labneh. We then had the Shakshuka with merguez and braised lamb for our entree. For dessert we enjoyed the chocolate cake and semolina olive oil cake. Everything was really yummy. We especially enjoyed the hummus, braised lamb and olive oil cake. We both felt like the lentils may have been a little undercooked on our braised lamb, but enjoyed the dish overall. Looking forward to trying it again in the future.

Great Mediterranean food in a small setting featuring an enjoyable cocktail program, good wine selection and pleasant service. The dates are absolutely to die for, the balance is wonderful. They had a rhubarb spritz as the cocktail of the day and that was wonderful. The composition of the IPA based cocktail fell a little bit. The rest of the meal went downhill a little which was disappointing. The taziki salad was poorly balanced. And the fresh pasta didnt compete with other options.

Food was excellent! Customer service was also exceptional- I never felt unattended to. Unfortunately a very small menu and undetailed titles left me no choice but to Google many of the items. However those well familiar with an Israeli menu will feel right at home, and be glad to know the food is what an Israeli meal should be. All around a great resteraunt and highly recommended.

I urge you to eat here. Very good service, excellent food, and at a good price. Split a few small plates with the table and then order one or two large plates for the table, you will leave full and very satisfied: skirt steak, carrots, salmon, falfal, pita bread, chicken. My only complaint is that the owner did not accept my marriage proposal.

Amazing selection of food with an interesting balance of classic and contemporary israeli dishes. Many options for vegetarians, meat lovers, and seafood lovers. Every time I come here Im blown away by the flavors. My favorites are the Brussels sprouts, shawarma burger, and tahini Caesar salad.

Israeli food is in a class of its own. The shakshuka was great, as was everything else. If you like tartare, try it here. Lots for vegetarians, too. Im not normally a dessert person, but the olive oil cake was awesome.

Everything we ate at Ray was simply amazing. All the dishes were so full of flavor that all I want to do is go back there. The drinks were also verry yummy. Cant wait to go back.

New Mediterranean restaurant that replaced Lincoln in the same space with the same owner/chef. Great selection of small plates and happy hour (goes til 7!) is awesome.

Food was good. Shawarma burger was very tasty. Dates lovely. Flamboyant waiter, friendly staff. Was too loud for my tastes. Not fond of big screen television.

Kinda sorry to see Lincoln go... but same staff and chef, a bit more casual vibe than before... and the new Israeli inspired menu is quite good.

This is the new version of Lincoln. Super delicious. Went with my whole family (ages 4-92) and they provided great service to all of us.

The food, atmosphere and service were all Portlander-worthy. Ray will now be part of our already-stellar PDX eatery rotation!
