Not to brag, but I know a good margarita when I taste a good margarita. Raul has the best blackberry margaritas!! His Happy Hours are great prices and last until closing time. We stumbled across this restaurant by accident but it was meant to be. I am of Mexican decent, and I know authentic tasting Mexican food and Rauls food is as close to home as it gets. I have tried almost all their dishes (tamales, enchilada and carne asada are to die for!) Beyond the food, the customer service they have there is out of this world. Raul himself is a new business owner of the restaurant and he is doing this all right. He encourages his guest to sign up for his coupon system, I use them quite often. He recently did a random, gift certificate drawing which I won. Ive lived in the Portland area for 2 months now and have been to Rauls restaurant probably over 15-20 times now. My roommate and I literally cant get enough of it. Try it, its truly amazing and youll be treated right. He also includes bean dip as well as salsa and chips. Everything is homemade. Oh and kids eat free on Sundays and Mondays. You wont be disappointed.

The Good: The food here is delicious. Staff is friendly and willing to accommodate customized meal requests. There are Gluten Free and Paleo options widely available. Theres plenty of parking, and weve never had to wait for a table even though they always seem busy. They give generous servings of chips, salsa and bean dip. They also offer take-out. Recommendations: They recently changed the menu, focusing more on their best dishes, which is definitely an improvement. I recommend the Carne Asada Salad and Rose Salad; both are delicious. The Tacos Al Pastor are great too. If you like Margaritas, try their Original Margarita (poured from a cocktail shaker) - its much more refreshing and not so sweet as the blended margaritas. The Bad: The meat salads are often served with a small portion of meat. Other meals w/beans and rice are rather large so be ready to take some home. They are closed on some major holidays, so call ahead. If you like to watch sports games like soccer, this isnt the best place, as TVs are very high up in towards the ceiling and far away from most tables.

Weve been to Rauls a couple of times. The first visit, we believe it was the owner who came by our table and visited with us. A very nice Man who seemed very interested in our opinion of the restaurant. The food and drinks were great. The portions are large. . So last night we went back. Got there early considering it was a nice day and warm out. Arrived at 6:30PM and the place was very busy. We got seated quickly as it was just the two of us. I ordered the Rauls Burrito and my Wife ordered Enchiladas. Again the food was very good and the service also great. No drinks or dessert this time. We wanted some dessert but were both stuffed. We really cant think of anything to change to make the place better? I guess that speaks for the establishment. A recommend!

Gave this place a try a few months ago...wasnt impressed...decided to try it again....worse than the first time.. didnt bring my drink. Had to ask for it 10 minutes later. Even tho the table that ordered after me with the same waiter got thier drinks almost immediately. Long wait for food, which is totally fine.. fajitas come. Guy says ill be back with tortillas...15 minutes later waiter comes back and asks whats wrong cause i havnt eaten anything. I told him i didnt get the tortillas yet. Finally get tortillas, piping hot. And stuff them with cold meat and veggies.....didnt even bother asking them to heat it up. Wasnt gonna wait another 10 minutes to eat.

Ive been coming since the first week it opened as Si Senor in the early 2000s. Raul has always been a gracious host and his black bean soup was my husbands absolute favorite meal (he has since passed away). I continue to go and promise myself Im not going to get full on his chips and fabulous salsa and bean dip... I cant seem to keep that promise. Ive tried many items on the menu... combos, burritos, chimichangas, enchiladas, salads, you name it... its delicious. Youll be missing out if you dont give this place a try.

Wait staff 5 stars, decor colorful and cheery, food 1 star at best. I dont like leaving negative reviews but this place disappointed me that I had to. The tamales were so flavorless it actually amazed me and my gf (latina). Rice and beans below average. The only good thing was that I now know not to ever come back. If you want 5 star tamales and great hot sauces like I do then go to Sanchez Taqueria off 99w.

Rauls is our favorite Mexican restaurants. The staff is so friendly, quick service, and the food is beyond delicious (especially the bean dip)! Weve been going to this location for many years, back when it was Si Senors, and were glad that Raul is doing well. This is our go-to place for celebration dinners and recommend anyone go here if they are looking for some amazing Mexican food!

The first time I ordered the Rose Salad via Uber Eats, it was so delicious and beautifully presented in a large plastic deli tray. This time, despite super fast delivery, it was delivered in a Styrofoam container and all of the lettuce was wilted and warm and the chicken was so undercooked, I removed it from my salad out of concern for illness. Wont order again.

We have eaten lunch at this location on many occasions and really enjoy the spinach stuffed enchilada. Decided to try their weekend breakfast and were delighted. I had the Machaca (I think thats the way its spelled) a delicious combination of eggs, onions, peppers and pulled pork. My husband had the breakfast burrito and loved it. Well be going back for that.

This is a wonderful eatery! My husband and I have been dining here for a few years. Our last visted was last night. We were celebrating our daughters and son-inlaws birthday. The food is outstanding, the wait person (a lovely young man) made the occasion special and very enjoyable. The food is great and the atmosphere is alway welcoming! BRAVO!!!!

One of our favorite places to eat. Food is very good and the staff is incredibly friendly. There are lots of Mexican food restaurants in our area but try this one, you wont be disappointed. Since assuming ownership, Raul has improved and increased the menu to a point where its hard to decide what to try. NEVER been disappointed !
