Great sushi at a great price, and the staff are very friendly. My fiancee and I have been here three times over the course of about a week and a half, and the awesome staff already recognize us whenever we come in. The sushi track prices are about on par with similar places in town, but the quality here is much higher. I was surprised track sushi could taste this fresh! On top of that, there are some really nice rolls available as well. We have not tried any of their non-sushi items, but there is a selection including chicken, beef, and squid. You can even mix-and-match. While everything else about this place is awesome and really makes it stand out as a top quality establishment, the full bar is what makes this my new favorite sushi spot. A lot of other Japanese restaurants in town have them, but they tend to be much more expensive. What you get here is simply a very high-quality experience for less money. The strip mall location isnt my favorite, but once you get inside you will find the decor is very modern, and the place feels very well put together. A lot of the strip mall places just feel run-down, but thats not the case at all with Fujiyama. You can tell they put a lot of effort into this place. Overall, I recommend Fujiyama to everyone who enjoys sushi bars. Their track cant be beat, especially for the price. The location may not be the most convenient for some people, but it is still worth making the trek at least once. Liked: Food, staff, full bar, atmosphere Disliked: Location

Some people might be willing to write off Fujiyama as just another sushi train type restaurant, but its much more than that. Since this place is still relatively new, its never as packed or rushed as the more well know train places like Marine Polis. The fish quality is also much higher and fresher than most of the competition, which is why the prices are a little more expensive compared to other conveyer belt places, but theyre still not bad. Most of the items are still priced just under what a regular sit-down restaurant would charge. Unlike other sushi train places, theres also a full bar upstairs. The chefs behind the counter are very quick on special orders, and they dont seem to overload the belts too much. I have yet to pull off anything that didnt taste like it had been there for more than a few minutes. Overall, this is a great lunch or evening place to go with friends. And for the guys - the owners seem to enjoy hiring eye candy for waitresses. Think of it as an extra visual bonus.: )

Sushi tasted good. Sake was delicious. The sushi chefs, hibachi cook and whom I believe to be the owner: all very upbeat and friendly... however our server seemed like she would have rathered to be anywhere but there. She wandered the resturant, with a really downtrodden expression. When she checked with us for any additions or drink refreshments, she didnt really vocalize much, and it felt like a she was rolling her eyes as she walked away. I over heard her exhasperatedly exclaim to the other server (who didnt seem to mind working at all, seemed cheerier) "only 10 people since we opened today, why are we even here?" It made sense. She had somewhere she would rather be. However the experience was great, all except for her lackadaisical attitude. The owner (?) Was wonderful and there was one sushi chef who made an effort to see if we were satisfied as well. Will probably be back, but hopefully she will be in a happier mood. :/

This place is decently clean except they have the dish cart right next to where we sat. The food is not the best you can get and I would go for as to say that it is quite overpriced for the quality you get. Some of the items sit on the conveyer belt can sit there for minutes to an hour and you can notice when you take a bite into someonthing that is suppose to be warm but isnt. The sushi was also room temperature and I noticed how they pre cut all the sushi and just pulled it from under the table. But the foods that are just made, you can tell that it is new since the dish cover is steamy and thats what you should go for. One positive is the staff is welcoming and friendly but I would recommend Sushi land because it is cheaper and taste much better

I love going to this place because its close to home and the food is great! The chefs are friendly and fast. The downfall is the lack of customer from the waitresses. Today was the worst so Im not sure if Ill go back anytime soon. Ive been coming to this place for a few years now so the lack of customer service is not new. I already know what to expect but today was one of the worst. We didnt get any service till 15/20 minutes after we we seated ourselves. It was not busy so theres no excuse. Never once did the waitress came by to ask if we needed to order anything or water for that matter. I had to ask for water so I wouldnt choke on my sushi..

Walking into Fujiyama it is pretty clean and classy. There is the conveyer belt, the bright bar, and even a grill that you can sit around. Each time that I have been here I have enjoyed the food and the cooks are willing to take special orders and please with any requests you may have. The only down side that I see is that the staff seem very off. Twice that we have been here we have noticed the staff seem to be laughing and playing games and gossiping about parties and events they have been to. I hope that the owners are able to fix this as it is the only part of the environment that takes away from being successful.

Been here a few times and for good reason, Absolutely amazing food and absolutely fantastic people working there; Chefs are skilled, Service is fast and great. The sushi itself off the belt is freshly made and high quality and about everything ive had from the menu is to die for. Atmosphere is amazing, really nice place with style, music is good and varied, I was happy not just to hear only pop like I do at most places that play music but some really good tracks from most other great genres to match everyones tastes. I have no complaints and highly recommend to anyone that enjoys good food.

Im leaving my first 5-Star Review for Fujimaya! Not a single piece of sushi has gone uneaten when we dine here. Its kind of a weird location for how great the quality & service is, & how popular its become. Medium sized conveyor-belt style sushi restaurant, a bit americanized with all the tasty sauces. Theres a full bar with great Happy-Hour Specials. Long Island Iced Teas for $2.50 Sun, Mon & Thursday, as well as discounted sushi. I hope they keep that going! Also theres a really neat upstairs lounge, Im not sure if its like a VIP area or what. Fujimaya is delicious & affordable!

The atmosphere was great very funk shway. I was greated coming in and everyone was very nice throughout. The place was great. The food however though i love conveyer belts with sushi had very little variety. So i ordered some calamari (beyond over salted) and uni ( cold muddy taste 2pieces for 5 bucks). Left hungry and disappointed. No places has been comparable with sushi Hana in Tigard. Best sushi, calamari, prices and service they dont charge extra for special orders and they have Berri different wonderful items to choose from.
