There was not much about this place that was positive for the group of people I went with. The table we were sat at was really small for 4 people and it was an old sewing table or something and they left a lot of the metal pieces underneath it so there was barely room for your feet under the table. Also one of the pieces moved and could squish peoples feet if you werent careful; not comfortable at at. We ordered our food before 7:30 and it did not come out until after 8:30. It warns you in the menu that the wait times might be long if they are busy (really professional), but over an hour for four plates is ridiculous. A table of four that was sat well after us got their food before ours did too. When we asked the waitress about it she said there order was put in at the same time as ours, but that doesnt seem likely since Im pretty sure they arrived after we ordered. One of our group ordered a beer that was served warm; another of our group said that some Scottish beers are supposed to be served warm, but it would be nice for the server to mention that. The fish and chips were good, but served on tiny little plates. The spicy chicken sandwich was good. The mac and cheese that is on the award winning section of the menu was pretty horrible. I ate it because by then I was starving, but Kraft mac and cheese out of a box is better than what they are serving. It was also advertised as having a crunchy or crispy topping, which makes me think bread crumbs, but there was just a think layer of cheese melted over the top. If I hadnt been starving, if I didnt care about making my group feel bad, and if I would have thought I could get something else in a reasonable amount of time, I would not have eaten it. The worst thing though was the unclean bathrooms. How hard is it to make sure that someone is checking the restrooms and making sure they are acceptable? The womens restroom was disgusting; pee and toilet paper on the seat and floor, smelt gross, but best of all they actually framed a stupid ad for feminine wipes that is in bad taste and put it in a restroom where young girls can easily see it. It is a picture of a beaver and the ad reads, "A clean beaver always finds more wood." Super classy and appropriate (heavy sarcasm) and they are obviously thrilled with it because they framed it and hung it right where you wont miss it next to the toilet. I would be pissed if I took my young daughter here. None of us will be returning to this place and we dont recommend it.

It was so ridiculous it was funny, First we were sat at a picnic table wedged between a tree and a rock, the bench I was sitting on was so warped and the angle of the table such that I felt like I was going to tip backwards, about 5 feet away was a pile of rubbish, we felt like we were next to a homeless camp! when I asked to switch tables nicely of course, cause I thought my back was going to hurt if I didnt , the gal in control of the wait list frowned and said she had a lot of people on the list waiting and she didnt know how she would be able to switch us. Luckily we had to wait in the bar area before we were seated outside cause at least we had drinks, at one point we thought because I complained we didnt have a waitress, 45 minutes with very empty beer glasses later a gal showed up, she was really nice and apologized. We did end up getting seated at a different table which was more comfortable. Then to only wait half hour longer for our fish and chips that were well done, our appetizers showed up after our dinners came! When we asked for silverware, we thought the waiter was kidding when he said there were none to be had! Wow it was almost getting ridiculous. We did get them eventually to finish our meal. We got there at 6:20 and didnt leave until 9:00! I had read a Facebook article that gave them a 5 star rating, I gave it a 2. Scotch and beers were good, food and service not so good!

Awful Service on St. Pattys Day!!! There was a live band in a heated tent. Sounds cool, but was so crowded and not enough seats. Took 20 minutes to get through the line, and the girl at the cash register said hi and then turned away to help someone else. After 5 minutes of standing directly in front of her, we FINALLY get service. Paid $8 for a banger, went upstairs to the bar to sit since there was NO space in the tent, and found out that what I ordered was actually only $6.50. What. The. Hell? Also, asked for a Long Island and they werent willing to make one. They said "it takes too long". I ordered a cider for the first time instead of a Long Island and the bartender didnt tell me how much it was until I asked for my bill. $7 for a small cider. To me, that was absurd to not tell me a price for such a dinky cup. I told the lady that I wouldnt have ordered it had she told me the price. She simply said sorry to hear that, and walked away. I finally told another waitress the same thing, and she was actually willing to talk to her manager about it. I got my money back, and they took their cider back, which was fine with me. Worst St. Pattys day experience ever for customer service AND venue set up.

Manager followed my brother into the parking lot screaming profanities at him and threatened to call the cops!!!! Absolutely the worst customer service ever! My brother ordered food to go from this place. They didnt give him a total over the phone. When he went to go pick it up he was a few bucks short and didnt have his debit card on him. He apologized to the server that he had miscalculated the total and did not bring enough cash. He asked if she could take one item off of the order and then he could pay for the remainder. She said well "Ill just have to waste it then". He again apologized again and said he didnt have an alternative way to pay and didnt know what else to do. At that point she went to get the manager. The manager then began to read him the riot act about it as well! At that point he had enough and said forget it. I dont want any of it. The manager followed my brother into the parking lot screaming profanities at him! After he drove away the manager sent security photos to my brother and threatened to call the cops! All of this over a simple miscalculation in the total. These people are insane! Will never be back and I urge you not to support this place with your business either.

Great pub atmosphere, food is great. Service is very friendly but can be a little slow. It gives you more time to browse their book of Whisky,Whiskey,Scotch, and Bourbon....Yeah, its that extensive. There are always staff on hand who can help guide a novice Scotch buff and also help expand the palate of connoisseurs. They only lose a star because the service can be a little slow. They are always friendly, helpful and cheerful, but might be spread thin. The building itself has many fun little nooks and crannies to hole up in with a date for a few drinks, or have a small group together for a celebration. The patio is great in the summer, lots of smokers though so choose your table wisely (this is Oregon City, not NW 23rd) The half order of fish and chips is good for one hungry human or two to three peckish noshers. They serve Haggis Balls which I hear are great. If I can stop ordering their delicious pasties I could tell you if they are any good. Love this place, almost enough to move to the O.C., almost....
