I love me a dive bar that knows who they are... and they do. How to be takilicious without being tacky is key. I think they got it. Location helps, setting is fine. Not the cleanest, best service or even quality food youd want to find... but works well for a stop on the drive to relax and people watch. Where they could really step up is the menu. They could keep that feel and still rockstar it with a stripped down menu of 5 really outstanding dishes. Heck, put in a pit BBQ and own it. But ... Ill still go here either way.

The food was really good, service was quick. My family went there after my grandpa died because he loved the chicken fried steak for breakfast. When my sister called to ask about a large group and explained that we would want that in remembrance of him they agreed to serve it to us even though it was a breakfast item and we went there for dinner. The waitress was amazing and showed a lot of empathy, even though she did not know him.

Saw this place on Dirty Dining and I have to say that I agree that they were nit picking. They got marked down for using a different thermometer and not labeling squirt bottles, and employees washing their hands in the main sink. Come on, really! Ill be eating there as it is overall clean and they serve great food.

Food quality and service is consistently good, and at a good price. Would be 5 stars except the tables are consistently dirty. Seems to be the norm at seat your self restaurants. Perhaps a change to a wait to be seated format would make this place perfect. Or just keep up on the table cleaning...

here at Redland Cafe right now eating my most amazing breakfast got here in under 10 minutes Im very happy. Jesse is our waitress. Very nice friendly and very helpfull. This waitress is with the beat in taking care of her customers

Servers are usually pretty friendly, sometimes it feels like service is a little slow, but overall it is great food at a reasonable price. I always think I can eat a 2/3lbs burger and always leave stuffed to the max!

Its the only place in the area. The pizza is good. Everything else is standard greasy food. Drive the extra few miles to go into downtown OC.
