Very Disappointed - Walked out. We are local residents and after 3 tries with this place, were done. They are always pretty busy, due to the association with a particular teen movie series. Sadly, they do not seem to be able to manage their five minutes of fame very well. On every visit, the place has had several customers at the very crowded together tables. Usually, the empty ones go for quite some time before being bussed. The "service" staff tend to be very young, seemingly high school age, with very little actual concern with customer service. On this last, and final, visit, we sat at the only open table which did not have dirty dishes still on it. Another couple who entered right after us had to stand and wait while one of the dirty tables was cleaned for them, after having to ask for it to be cleaned. We place our order and were served coffee. Then, we waited.. and waited, while the couple who came in after us ordered, received their meal, ate their meal, received their bill, paid and departed, without receiving our order, a coffee refill, or even a single extra comment from our server. Meanwhile, the three school age staffers were busily talking and joking around with each other behind the counter. After nearly 40 minutes, we finally went to the counter, paid for our coffee and let them know we were leaving, and why. As we were getting ready to pull out of the parking lot, our server came out to say that our food was ready, if we wanted to have it. We thanked him and said no. Not going back, and not likely to recommend Carver Cafe to any of our numerous of town guests.

If you’re a Twilight fan or just hungry for lunch please dont waste your time with Carver Cafe... I was there 3.27.10 taking my friend and our daughter’s site seeing, and we were literally waited on by a 12 year old with a very bad attitude. Not only did this rude child through our menus at us, but she probably spit in our water. It was of the worse experiences I have ever had at a restaurant. To top it off, while we were try to pay a table behind us had found hair in their food and was having a hard time getting their waitress to come over to speak to them about it. Then once she did come to their table the waitress acted like it was a hug inconvenience to bring them a fresh dish.... Now we know where the unruly child gets it from sense she did call the other waitress Grandma…Ugh We were so, so, so disappointed that a restaurant who has received a lot of business due to all the Twilight fans would treat paying customers this way; would treat anyone this way. I would suggest you only stop by to take pictures our front and call it good. Not worth the suffering!!! Oh and this was not my frist time here. I was treated badly 10/09 and was trying to give the Café a second chance… NOT ANY MORE!

My friends and I tried out Carver Cafe because it was featured in Twilight. We arrived between breakfast and lunch and were "greeted" by a child. She threw our menus at us, didnt take our drink orders and left us to sit there while she gave all her good manners to the locals across the room. Her complete look of disgust when my friend asked for creamer was appalling. Others that came in after us waited, as well. We were there nearly two hours despite the fact that it was a slow day. This little girl made it obvious we were a waste of her time and that shed rather be playing cutsie pie with the locals. The food was delicious but we felt so slighted we couldnt wait to get out of there. She never brought our ticket so when another couple went to the register and demanded theirs we did the same. At that point, we had to repeat our order to the response of many sighs and eye rolls from little Punky Brewster. Never again! Is it even legal for her to be working? I mean, the kid hasnt even reached training bra stage.

Incredibly unimpressed. Poor service and underwhelming food. Biscuits tasted like they came from a box. Sausage was definitely frozen patties. Eggs were from a powder. And then the waitess didnt even bother smiling, at all. Didnt bring all the food out, but didnt bother to say anything and came back with it a few minutes later, again without saying a word. Ive been working in food service for 15 years and I had higher expectations from a place that can attract business without even trying, due to being a movie filming location. You really need to work on your game. I can understand if the locals dont know any better, but many people will....Sad.

The first time I stopped at Carver Cafe it was for my daughter who was reading Twilight, and the food was great. I live pretty close and the cafe was really convenient so I began to going there every weekend. I thought the service would get better as time went on but it just got worse. The last time we went we waited fifteen minutes after being seated for our order to be taken. The servers always seem in a bad mood or they are having a bad day, but every single time? I just could not keep spending my money there, which is a shame because the food is very decent but the service is terrible.

This place was great. I am a huge Twilight fan and this is a great place to sight see if you love Twilight or even if you just love food haha. The food was very tasty and the prices werent too bad. The waitress was really kind and refilled our drinks. The food came to us quickly. The biscuits and gravy were delicious and the onion rings are huge and very tasty. I came here all the way from CA. Cant wait to come back!

Waited 40 minutes for our food. The 2 tables that came in after us were served before us. We hadnt ordered anything that would take longer. The food was okay, not worth the wait. The whole situation could of been made better if just once one of the 2 servers came up and said sorry its taking so long. They avoided eye contact with us the entire time. Wont be going back there again.

Good food, large portions and inexpensive. Theres only one server and the place is usually packed. So the time it takes to be greeted, get your drinks, take your order and get your food is very reasonable. The only thing that could be improved is the size of the bathrooms, both mens and womens bathrooms are really small.

Quaint little diner on the way to the mountain, Ive been meaning to stop by here for some time now and finally had the opportunity. They have pretty standard food options and everything we had was good. There is plenty of room for small to medium size families. I would go back again.

The food is mediocre. The service is awful and the owner clearly doesnt care about her business. She was extremely rude when the restaurant made a mistake with my order and refused to make any attempt to correct it. Im SEVERELY DISAPPOINTED with this place and especially the owner.
