My wife and I stopped in on a Saturday around 2pm. And we had such a wonderful experience that I was inspired to write my first review ever! Pon, the owners sister and chef was there alone at that time of day. She was a total dilight. And even though we are Thai food lovers from way back, we had always avoided the "Pumkin-curry" specials that are on many of the "Specials of the Day" boards in many Thai restaurants. Well, since we asked her what she would suggest for a nice coconut-curry dish she said the Pumkin curry was her special coconut curry sauce recipe" and we absolutely loved it! My wife and I both agreed it was possibly the BEST we had ever tasted. If you love Thai, and go anywhere near Salem/Keiser you wouldnt want to miss out on eating here. And to top it off, after telling her what we thought, she offered us the recipe! Can you believe that! So we said the next time we come from Eugene we would get it. Then she brought us a seperate container of the sauce to take with us. My overall opinion? You get much more here than wonderful food. You get the feeling you are part of the family.

My husband and I decided to try this place for the first time and we were NOT disappointed. The whole day I was craving some Lao food(as I am half Lao and its my comfort food), my husband found Red Ginger online and we thought Thai food, close enough.. This place was easy to get to and welcoming. The service was outstanding and weve never been so catered to before. We got fried bean curds and a salad roll to start, as well as a Thai iced tea. At this point we were impressed and could not wait to taste our main dish! Our main dish was a Lime Leaf Stir Fry with tofu and it was delicious. It immediately reminded me of my grandmothers cooking and I have never felt so at home. Turns out that the owners are Lao, so we had a pleasant chat. All in all, this place is a shiny penny. Great service, amazing food. The prices are a bit high, but for the quality you get, its completely worth it. We will definitely be going back!

There is an old expression along the lines of died and went to heaven... well I dont know about that, but I had the beef green curry and from the first mouthful.. I was transported... now the back story to this is that my wife and I are travelling across the United Sates and Canada. We being Australian are used to food our way and we have struggled to find a restaurant without some version of the hamburger on the menu in fact I think Antoines in New Orleans was the only other place. The food was a delight with a rich creamy texture to the sauce (coconut cream) and a nice balance and mix of vegetables. Brilliant is all I can say... Our hostess the chefs sister was beautiful too a lovelier person would be difficult to find.. thank you to you and your sister for reaffirming our faith in the US and its food. What a shame I did not get you to sign a copy of the menu like I did in Antiones... Cheers and thanks a bunch!!!

Ive heard it said that "Great things come in small packages". Red Ginger definitely supports that contention! My family decided at the last minute to give Red Ginger a try and we were very impressed! Even though they were a little short-staffed (more on that later), we were seated immediately (including a comfy high chair for the 1-year-old grandson) our order was taken quickly and our food was not only hot and plentiful, but absolutely delicious! The short staffing issue mentioned earlier was caused by an employee no-show, so the owner of the establishment was also our server- very personable, very invested in our good experience. The next time Im in Salem/Keizer, if I have a craving for Thai food, there is no other place Ill even consider- theyve definitely earned my business!

I got some Pad Me Mao there, or "Drunken Noodle". It was good, but had too much of the dark soy sauce on it giving it a bit more of a cloying flavour. This place is definitely worth exploring, as they got me my food fairly quickly, which I did not think that would happen, as the owner was having some kind of "dialogue with the dishwasher. But it came out all right in the end. Also, the place has parking in the rear, and you access it through a cobblestone walkway in the back. Place appears clean, well furnished, and also has a TV to watch too! I do plan on returning there to try more of their dishes.

By far the best place for authentic flavor and great customer service! Dont let the exterior of the building fool you, the interior is nicely decorated with elegance. 2 sisters run the business and when you meet them you will fall in love with their joy for cooking and ability to please you with their hospitality. They throw their own spin on the flavors of their recipes making them truly mouth watering and authentic If your tired of bland, generic Thai food, this is the place to come! It is AWESOME! and the only place to go for Thai in Salem/Keizer! John and Amy Meyer, Salem, Oregon

The atmosphere was small and cozy. We were the only couple there for about 30 minutes, then another group showed up. They do have plenty of space for folks. The waitress was very attentive to everything, and was not pushy. She was excited about the food and had some very good recommendations for folks that dont have Thai often. We had all three courses (appetizers, entree, and desert), and all three were exquisitely presented when we were ready for them. This is definitely a place were going to visit again!

Phenomenal!! So delicious! Leaving with a food coma :) Ordered the salad rolls after reading review- BEST SAUCE EVER. Green curry was fantastic. Not too spicy, but a perfect kick. Sweet and sour stir fry wasnt too sweet and had a great variety of veggies. And pad Thai is always a favorite dish- but never had it taste quite like it did here!! Well definitely come back! 3 dishes for 4 people and we are stuffed! Definitely worth the trip. Dont let the small parking lot deter you.

The former Carrusos Italian restaurant in Keizer I am sure was hard shoes to fill. I think that the dining experience was casual but classy enough to feel like a special night out. The menu was very creative with great twists on the traditional Thai dishes. You can tell there is attention to quality ingredients for every dish and embellishment on it. I very much enjoyed the food and it was great to see more women in business

The chef is willing to modify any dish to meet the customers needs. My husband is a strict vegan and although he could find dishes that were vegan our appetizer was adjusted accordingly. The food is presented beautifully and the flavors are multi-layered. Portions are very generous and you dont have a long wait from when you order to when the food is delivered. We make this a destination even though we live 45 minutes away.

Great atmosphere and excellent service. Me and my wife came to eat dinner. We shared salad rolls and I had the pad Thai and she had the mussamon curry. All of which was decent. No peanut sauce with the salad rolls was a disappointment, but not a deal breaker. We still like the "Thai Cuisine" down the road better. Even though the atmosphere there sucks, it does taste better and is a little cheaper.
