The service has gotten worse since weve been coming here, which is a bummer because its super close to our house and the food and beer are always top notch. Were not quick to give up on a place, but weve given it 3 chances over the last year and each time were disappointed again and end up leaving with a bad taste in our mouths. Were not that picky about being left unattended for 20 minutes or so, we almost prefer that, but the last two visits were ridiculous. For a place that specializes in beer they sure dont come by for a second round offering. Sometimes they dont even remember to bring our first ordered round. Once the food comes we cant even make eye contact with a server until they bring us the check. Maybe we keep ending up in the limbo tables that are shared and forgotten between servers, but its happened each time weve gone. We also had an instance where we were misquoted on the price of their growler jars and paid way more than we were told while also receiving different beers than we ordered (which we didnt realize until we got home and drank some). And the first bad experience was a very rude server making snide comments to me about finishing all my food, as well as ignoring us by hanging out behind the bar (there were only 3 other tables so it really wasnt busy). He seemed like he may have been having a bad day so we tried to forget about it -plus we havent seen him again so he may have left- but with the consistently disappointing service the two times following that, including just the other night, it looks like well be trying Edgefield or one of the other locations around when we want our McMenamins fix...

Very average. Small menu. High prices for the quality of food. Service very hit and miss. On my last visit I had a cheeseburger that came with unwanted bacon. The burger tasted off to me, was very greasy, and was left mostly uneaten. I have tried a few of their items and theyve all been very average, mediocre, and sub-par. They have their own beer but its not special enough to waste any more time & money here.

Most of the McMenamins food experiences I have had have been pretty average or not very good. This location is the best by far! The food is always fresh and tasty, the servers are quick and friendly and there is almost never a wait. Highland Pub is a hidden gem in the weeds of Gresham. I just wish that the Truck Stop Burger special was always on the menu. Its delicious every time!!

I like to meet up at the Highland when meeting friends who live far out on the East side. It is easy to get to, and the beer and food are McMenamins dependable. The outside seating area isnt the best option on a hot day. The seats are in full sun and next to full glass windows. On a hot day I prefer an inside table. It is a great destination after a hike at Powell Butte.

The food and service just continues to get worse and worse at McMenamins, while the prices continue to go up. Once a year or so I give it another try to see if theyve improved... today I call to place an order and got hung up on, then when I call back the server acts like shes doing me a favor by taking my order. Never again.

This is my favorite McMenamins joint. The menu isnt super expansive, and the beer selection is a bit limited, but the staff are warm, super friendly and attentive. Allison, Mike, Sarah, and all the other great servers make my visits worth my time. Beer under the new brewer is great. Definitely a solid place.

Its a McMenamins. I love the food and have never been disappointed by the drinks. This location is a little odd with the way its set up with 2 entrances, makes it difficult to be acknowledged by staff. The service has never been more than getting our order and taking our plates.

Come here all the time, and we have always had good food and service! Its quiet and just a fun place to come at any time. The staff is also prefect, never had a bad time! We moved farther away but still would rather drive to this one, than the one down the road.

Have had borderline service at other Mcmenamins pubs and havent been to one in a while because of the poor service. Last night however, the staff at the Highland gave us the best service I have had anywhere in a long time!!! Thanks!! We will be back soon!!

Always such a bitter sweet experience. Every time I go here, and yes i keep coming back, i am conflicted by the drastic difference between the consistantly good food and the inconsistant service. I might just do to go from now on!

Its a brewery. Stopped here to get s stamp for our passport. Ill review the Nightswimming ale. Dark, rich. Smooth with a slight liquor finish. High ABV, so brought in s tulip. If you like a dark brew give this one a try.

Very dissatisfied with the service. Couldnt get the order correct very slow on drinks had to ask for menus. They didnt even offer to comp anything after giving the wrong order. Very unpleasant visit dont yhink i will be back.

Disappointed with service on last visit.The waiter was standing there with us when we found fruit flies in my girlfriends drink.Gross, he immediately appollogized and took her drink, but still charged us for it. WOW!
