A fiend and myself go to the Wooden Chicken usually every Friday when it opens. The scary waitress by the name of Mitzy is there, but we are never waited on by her. The reason I say scary because SO MANY people complain about her. We sit kind of close to the lottery machines, which my friend usually wins on EVERY Friday. Our waitress that we usually have is Robin, and this gal gives excellent service. EXCELLENT. If you win off the lottery machines she will cash the winnings for you. Comes to your table to pick up your check (if she isnt busy which sometimes it gets busy in there at lunch time (Fridays)), checks on you to see how you are doing. SO! Robin deserves an A++++++ in that area. FOOD - On Fridays that have their 3 piece fish for $11.95. I do not eat fish, but my friend does and she loves it. It comes served with french fries and cole slaw, you can get jojos, tater tots or onion rings if you do not want the fries. The fries, unfortunately, are not very tasty. I do recommend the jojos or onion rings, I have yet to try the tater tots. Also if you dont want any of those they will give you a handful of potato chips. I have had their regular cheese burger, it was very excellent. I have had their 4 piece fried chicken, it is the best chicken I have ever had. So crispy and very hot when it comes out, not spicy hot, just temperature wise. I have also had their taco salad, this salad was filled so much beef! It was very good. And last I have had a chef salad, not much you can say about a chef salad, but, it was very good. On Tuesdays they serve tacos all day. I think they are $0.75 each. I cant recall. They also have a happy hour menu, I think that starts at 4:30 PM, not sure for how long. The food for happy hour, I believe, was all $3.00. I have never had their alcoholic beverages so I cant suggest any of those. There are TONS of flat screen tvs and a huge projector screen as well. I believe they have live music and comedians? Im not sure, I noticed a dance floor type area a couple visits ago. I would have to say the only thing I dont care for is their soft drink selection. RC. Im more of a Coke fan myself. Its quite dark inside the place, they 3 pool tables and a couple lottery slot machine games. I really enjoy going to the Wooden Chicken and enjoy being served by Robin, she is the best.

The rudest owner I have ever run in to. I went to watch a baseball game and they seated me at a table where I could barely see the TV. I decided I wouldn’t make a fuss about it and plugged in my phone at a nearby socket so that I could see the score of the game. My phone was dead and there was no one else in this corner of the restaurant. I got up several times to check the score and to check for phone calls but had none. In about 15 minutes I got up to get some more popcorn and saw that if I moved back a row I could see the game better, so I moved. It was then that the owner came over and unplugged my phone and started to take it away. I told him that it was my phone and he threw it on my table and told me that it was rude of me to take up three tables and plug my phone in. I didn’t say anything and he left. He came back in about 15 minutes and proceeded to tell me how rude I was. Perplexed, I calmly told him that he was the one who was rude then I got up to go pay my bill and leave. He followed me and said that I had spilled some popcorn on the floor and wanted me to go pick it up. I said I was leaving and left. He went back and picked up some popcorn and followed me out to my car and tried to throw the popcorn in my car. If you think a guy like that deserves to get your money then go ahead but I don’t and will never go back there.

Short and sweet the wooden chicken has TERRIBLE and UNHONEST staff. After dinner i forgot my phone on the table and headed home. As i went to bed it hit me i forgot my it on the table. So i had my wife call it to see if somebody would pick up. With no luck i headed back down to the wooden chicken and had my wife call to see if anybody turned it in. With some of the rudest customer service and a "i just told you we dont have any Phones." She continued to call my phone in the hopes that somebody would answer. When i walked up to the bar i asked the same thing, if any phones had been turned in. He said somebody just called and asked the same question and he already told her no. At almost this exact moment i hear my phone start to ring. As i looked around i could hear it coming from inside a drawer on the other side of the bar. The bartender looks at me and slowly with a slight "busted" look on his face pulls out my phone. You could clearly hear it ringing and he blantly told me "No, no phones have been turned in.". The staff are thiefs and unhonest. NEVER RETURNING.

What is sad is I got good service there once by a server who was very nice and attentive, she was brunette. BUT the blonde waste of flesh needs to go. I have been in there now several times and Im not sure what her problem is but she is the worst. It seems she is more interested in getting grouped by some 80 yo grandpa or checking her cell phone than she is in serving her customers. I been there when I saw people having to bus their own table and go to the bar to get the bill because she was standing with her back to the whole place texting. She ignored my table so bad the last time I was there I had to go to the bar to get myself another beer. That actually turned out in my favor, since she didnt serve me the beer it wasnt on my tab so I got one for free. Ha, I wont be back which is really a bummer since its close to where I live and they do have amazing fish and chips. Just if you go dont sit in the blondes section, if shes there I would just leave...unless you are a 80 yo redneck then grope her up and shell love it.
