This review is marked at 4 stars instead of 5 due to an atrocious (and expensive) dessert. The burgers are world class. As a matter of fact, all three of us agreed that the burgers last night were the best weve had at Vista recently (this was about our 3rd time in the last two months). The aioli was nowhere near as sloppy as it was in the previous two times, so the whole burger managed to stay together and not get soggy. The fries and onion rings were as excellent as always. The Sweet Heart, however, was undoubtedly the worst dessert we have ever ordered. Our waitress gave the explanation that it was some sort of a double chocolate eclair. What arrived looked like a chocolate-covered ballpark pretzel opened to a heart shape. Actually, it wasnt a pretzel but it certainly wasnt an eclair either. The eclair appeared to be a soft, coarse, whole grain bread dough rather than a choux pastry. There was something sweet and white piled in the middle instead of enclosed in the pastry (our waitress wouldnt identify it) and the whole $9 mess was drizzled with raspberry sauce. Vista Pub should stay in the burger business.

After reading the more positive reviews than negative, we were visiting some friends in Crescent City we decided we wanted something different and we decided to go to the Vista Pub. We had a lot of questions and the waitress, Teal and the bartender Raymond were very helpful in answering our questions about the burgers and were very patient with us in our indecisions. I would recommend this place because it is unique and you can basically build your own burger and the beer selections is very good. Just like the brews, you have a choice of IPA or a lager, ever had a burger with peanut butter, try it, ever had a burger with pineapple and mango habanero cheese, ever had a burger with cranberry mustard? These are only a few choices that they offer. All you need to enjoy this place is an open mind and an open mouth.

When we arrived, the lunch hour was pretty much over and the Vista Pub was not overly crowded. We had to wait at least 45 minutes for our food after we ordered two hamburgers. We asked what kind of buns were available and the server advised "No whole wheat but regular, sourdough" and another kind. We ordered sourdough buns but received our burgers on two thin slices of sour dough bread which quickly became quite soggy. The highly acclaimed beef was OK, but the patty was smallish and tasted overground. The fries were good - real potatoes. Overall we were disappointed and most likely will not eat there again.

My wife and I were told of this restaurant because of their use of grass fed beef. We drove all the way over from Medford just to eat there. We could not have been happier with the service and quality of food. They even had freshly made buns too and super yummy fries! We will visit there every time we are in Brookings now. Only request would be to have them open Mondays too.

We stopped here for lunch as we were driving down the coast. It was quite late for lunch so the place was not busy. We had a BLT which was very good. If you like B in your BLT, this ones for you. The fries were just right -crispy but not hard. The service friendly and efficient. The decor was a bit on the tired side but the place was reasonably clean.

Exactly what I was looking for in a roadside Oregon bar. Great locals, people are talking. Weird, awesome beers on tap from all over the northwest and its a small menu so it turns over all the time and is always fresh. Love bars like this. Awesome food as well and super good value. You can get a cheaper pint elsewhere but it probably wont be as good.

Its one of those hole in the wall places that you hear about from the locals. The burger and fries that I had here were very delicious. Fresh, juicy beef and a very tasty bun made this meal. The steak fries with light sea salt were an excellent side. We had very snappy service as well. I will come back to this place whenever Im in Brookings!

Only been here once, but it was a great experience. Good beer selection and friendly service (despite the annoying tourist who bitched the whole time for lack of Bud Lite). We found the parking tight but was told by our waitress that you could park at adjacent businesses and around back. Highly recommended by the locals.

The foods good but be prepared to waste 1/2 your day there waiting to be served. The service SUCKS!!!! Big time! Heidi offered to comp our meal...Since she"forgot" to turn our order in. Then when we FINALLY GOT IT....After waiting an entire hour ++++ she presented the bill! What a RUDE thing to do!!!

Arrived for lunch with three kids and they immediately offered us the VIP room... Worked great to keep the kids entertained (it had a TV and some room to roam around) and to also keep them from disturbing the rest of the patrons. Food was good with generous portions. Would definitely go back.

For how few customers were in the Pub the service was very slow and the waitress was awful. Everything on the meal is over priced when the taste of the food is comparable to fastfood. Will not be a place I take my friends or family to again.

friendly, laid back, great food. I got there on a music night, which was fun, but I would return for a normal night. I have significant dietary restrictions and they were great about working with me to figure out a meal I could enjoy.

Best place in town to get a burger!!!! The habanero jack cheese curds are to die for! Seriously...I havent had anything that even comes close. Amazing beer selection and wonderfully friendly wait staff!

Awesome food!! The burgers are so good here. I love the variety of toppings offered and the cozy environment of the pub. At times I come and the service runs a little slow, but overall, great!

My favorite restaurant in town. Amazing food especially for the money. They even have a lounge room and I think live music on Fridays.
