Came here for the first time, thought at first it was a pleasant place. As we were ordering I asked if the biscuits and gravy could be substituted with plain white gravy and no sausage, she said yes. I got my plate and it was regular brown sausage gravy. I thought, no biggie, Ill let her know. She came over and started to argue with me about what she thought white gravy was. I asked nicely if I could just order something different, but she sent the manager over and the manager asked me what happened. I told her what I ordered and she too got an attitude with me. I said can I have the French toast instead? She said sure but btw it has eggs and milk in it vegans cant have that and I said Im not vegan Im vegetarian shes like oh OK and stomped off. The rest of our time there the cook had to finish waiting our table. The food was decent but service was very rude. It wasnt even a big deal, they made it seem like the end of the world.

Overpriced. Overpriced. Overpriced. Owner cheaps out on little things like you only get your toast - that comes with your meal - if you ask for it. Also - my coffee needs refill for 5 minutes - I say something to owner - he tells waitress who doesnt do anything. What kind of owner is that??? If I owned my own restaurant I would either immediately do it myself or make sure it was immediately done. Owner has no idea of service - were a party of 9 and have to wait 15 minutes for a table to be set up because he doesnt want to give up two booths (each holding up to 6) as hes waiting in case two possible parties of six show up, that of course never show up. The guy could afford to attend a class at "MaitreD school". I cannot wait for the other coffee shop to open soon and give HDC some competition.

We discovered this gem just after moving to Wyoming in September 2008. Over the past year, we ate at Half Day Cafe at least once a month. We never miss an opportunity to take family and friends for Saturday brunch. Everytime we bring someone new, they ask us "what is good?" I usually answer, "I havent had anything I didnt like." Though, I recently discovered the sweet potato pancakes (like butter milk pancakes with sweet potatoes baked in). This are by far the absolute best pancakes I have ever eaten, and my wife can attest that I have eaten a lot of pancakes! Even my overly discriminating, near-90 year old Grandmother found the restaurant charming and the food delicious.

Oh, wow. This place is practically divine, if you like something slightly offbeat - or even if you dont. My favorites: sweet potato pancakes with praline syrup (only available in the fall); pancakes with mango syrup. There are also some much healthier options. (There are some even less healthy like french toast with filling.) Service is super friendly and professional; dining area is small but very bright with tons of windows, clean and pleasant.

This is a great, cozy little spot. Feelgood colors and vibes. We had a late breakfast on a weekday with no wait. I ordered the eggs Benedict. The Hollandaise was amazing . Very flavorful with a little bit of creamy tomato added. The dish could have used a little more..Like roasted red pepper and sauteed spinach to make it top notch. Overall a very nice place. Well be back for sure.

Good food Attentive wait staff. This place is hopping on weekend mornings and feels like the neighborhood go-to breakfast place. Really liked the bowl of goodness (or something like that) wasnt as big of a fan of the mango rum french toast. It looked great but was missing something... Also the food is a touch pricey for what Im used to for first meal.

We go here weekly for breakfast and we love it. Service is great and always accommodating our 4 top with two young kids. Never a super long wait. The bacon is killer and seasonal specials like "bowl of goodness" are what I always gravitate towards. Kids combos are perfect for our young ones as well. Check it out!

This is probably my favorite breakfast in Cincinnati. Everything Ive ordered there is great. Staff is very friendly, and its a pleasant place even when it gets busy (and it does!). I love the walk up counter, too. Ive always gotten quick service there. The breakfast wraps are simple, but theyre big and tasty.

Great coffee, food and service. I got to meet and talk to Dale, the owner, who told me that they are celebrating ten years in business. It is no secret as to why they have lasted over a decade so far, and why they will be able to open a new location soon. Great breakfast and lunch place!

By far our favorite breakfast/local competitor to First Watch (their food is better than First Watch). Reasonably priced but a bit crowded at times, though weve always found a place to sit easily when its just the two of us. Honestly, Id move to Wyoming just for this place.

Was in here today with my wife. Either the owner or the manager, his name was Joe, was cussing someone out in front of customers saying "What the fu** are you doing here?!" People bring their kids here, what kind of environment is that? Service was slow, food was sub-par.

Love Half Day Cafe! They have a great, friendly staff with a bright, cheerful atmosphere. I love how they use local produce and vendors whenever possible and add seasonal items to their menus. I have yet to have a bad meal here. Definitely a great experience.

This is truly a neighborhood restaurant, run by a family who lives in the neighborhood! The service is exceptional and the menu carries some unique items - charred grapefruit, maple rum pancakes - that are delightful. Highly recommended for breakfast!

This place used to be a 5 for me but during my last visit it seems something has changed. This is a quaint, lovely spot for breakfast and lunch but the staff seemed rushed, afraid, and tense. Good food selection - salads, soups, pancakes, etc.

The food is not good and the prices are way too high. The Cafe Mocha tastes like hot chocolate and the Caramel Macchiato tastes like flavored hot water. Eggs were dry and the bacon overcooked. My advice, go somewhere else for breakfast.

Food is average. Great staff out front. Seating to tight. Not managed well . No one. No paid time. Off. No paid holiday. Terrible place to work.no insurance.. everything to the owners and yet they are opening another..good luck.

The food is so delicious its worth whatever wait they have! But dont wait, because then itll be longer before I can get my table, too. Ive never tried anything there I didnt like. The dining room is small but comfortable.

This is easily my favorite breakfast joint. I always leave full and satisfied. The staff is friendly and will make you feel at home! The food is great but I can never get enough of their fresh squeezed orange juice!
