Im still reeling from the horrible experience my friends and I encountered here last night. I was appalled at the rudeness of the staff who were providing us with substandard and inattentive so-called service. We were greeted rudely, acknowledged like we were going to have perhaps a few tastes of wine and then leave, our so-called server sat at the bar having her dinner while the rude host/server jumped in in a huff to take our dinner order. We had to ask for napkins and another glass of wine -not at any point were were greeted with a smile and asked how anything tasted. When our initial server returned to the table to ask about our checks, she had no clue that groucho had completed our transactions. Unacceptable. Not one thank you for joining us tonight, and I need to mention that although this was after the Ghost and Goblin 5 K these ladies did not have a full house and were not too busy to be attentive or nice. Kudos to the chef -the pizzas were very good -thats the only positive thing I can report here in addition to the Merlot -it was good. Our other friend had the Cab-Sauv which she liked. I cant return here- I still have a bad aftertaste.

The Wine Gallery is my favorite downtown haunt. The wine selection is amazing, and the prices are reasonable. The food is good--not the focus, but still quite good. I recommend the mushroom pizza, the chicken sandwich, and the cheese tray. If you want wine, consider a flight. The flights are 2oz pours of 3 wines. it is a great way to learn about wines and fine a new favorite. The Wine Gallery is a great space. There are couches with low tables and more traditional tables and chairs. The decorations are not overwelming, and the tall ceiling give the area an elegance. The tall ceilings also allow noise to bounce, so go off peak if you have problems hearing in a crowd.

The food and drinks are good, especially their gimlet. However every time I have been the service is the absolute worst. Glasses have sat empty for hours, a waitress sat and chatted with another table for 30min with our check in her hand and more instances than I can even count. The speed and attention to tables has become an ongoing joke for our friends. We have suggested this place to many others along with the caveat of knowing the service is borderline embarrassing. My advice...go expecting just one delicious beverage but count on the evening taking 1.5 - 2 hours for A drink.

This is a neat place to try some wines and relax with friends or family. The food is okay but not great in my opinion, especially for the price. They have a large selection of wines and some beers so if youre looking to have some drinks and food to go along with it, its still a good place to go. Service is unpredictable...Ive had very prompt friendly service at times, other times it has been slow and I have felt like a bother to my waiter. Usually its pretty good though.

The owner of this establishment introduced me to sweet wine and I have now graduated to dry wine and cooking with wine because of them. The food is excellent and the ambiance is welcoming, yet classy. Also, today they had a lemon raspberry cheesecake as a new tester for the menu. It was palatable. Try this restaurant and you will have an amazing experience. Lastly, the owner is vested in the rebuilding of Dayton and giving back to the community. Support The Wine Gallery.

Im a new transplant to the area and I believe in supporting a decent downtown infrastructure. I was happy to see such an establishment that has opened in the area. I went for the first time and was automatically placed in a relaxed mode after a long day. This is the perfect place to come in, relax and sip a good wine, while you converse. Its also a nice place for a blind date if youre in the mode as well. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, a must for the Dayton area.

I am disappointed in my visit to this business. I understand the so so meal. The business is geared as a wine bar. Now as a wine bar you would think if a customer did not like a wine or thpught it had soured the business would try to make it right. Not in this case. I was told it was okay and what i ordered. Kinda disappointed.

Nice place for someone that appreciates wine. Im not a wine expert but i do like wine so.... They have a nice variety of wines and in affordable prices. I like the "filght" option where you can taste 3 wines (total = 1 glass). I also like the "family" atmosphere. I think it was something missing from Dayton.

Downtown is less fun without this cafe! Great wine, great food, and a staff that makes you feel like family. Brian really knows wine and remembers your own personal preferences when he recommends new wines to you. Cant wait till the new place is open and EVERYONE should try this Gem City gem!

I waited for ~5 minutes to be seated & then sat for awhile before I even got a menu, even though it wasnt crowded at all. The décor was also mismatched & there were cardboard boxes of wine just piled up in the middle of the restaurant. Also overpriced. Not a good experience.

What a great experience. Excellent Wine Selection and friendly and wine savvy staff. Our Waitress Dawn was a fantastic guide through the wine tastings and showed how to find the right selections with our meal and after meal drinks too.

The Wine Gallery & Cafe is a fabulous place to rendezvous after a long day at work, or even a great date idea! Brian has a very nice establishment and definitely knows his wine. My personal favorite is the Adesso Cagnina di Romagna.

The food was mediocre at best and overpriced. I ordered the grilled salmon which was overcooked and tough. The restaurant was dead on a Saturday night which leaves me to question how long this place will remain open.

A great place to enjoy a glass of wine, maybe a cheese plate or other appetizer, pizza or entree. Friendly staff! Located downtown, it is a great stop before seeing a play, the ballet, or the Philharmonic.

Tasty food with great service and ambiance, but a little pricey without enough wow factor. Not terribly expensive however so Ill be back. Just not on the regular rotation of places to go for me

Great place to pick up a few bottles. Jeff is particularly good at helping you pick a wine. Also, good variety at all times. Sometimes a bit pricey, though.

Friendly service and nice atmosphere, but the food was a disappointment in every way. If you arent going specifically for the wine, dont go.
