I never write reviews but my visit today was worth writing one. I decided to go here, one of my favorite restaurants, because I like their pulled pork sandwich. She puts my change on the counter, and puts the receipt IN my cup, which was just with my change before she handed it to me...trying to get me sick?? I ask for another cup, so she says "you need 3 cups??" I said yes. She sticks HALF OF HER HAND IN my cup and hands it to me.. I dont want anyones fingers in my cup, especially after handling money. Next, we get our order, 2 pulled pork sandwiches and 2 sides, like usual. When we got our food, one sandwich was about half the size of the other. I said something about it and the lady says " you got the lunch meal, the sandwich is 1/4lb instead of 1/2lb." Ok, I didnt say lunch meal, I ordered 2 sides separate from the sandwiches. Pretty sure I didnt order something I didnt know you had. So anyways, she turns around to lady who makes the sandwiches and says loudly and impatiently "he got the lunch meal and wants a bigger sandwich"... No I didnt. To top it all off, she begins talking about us to another employee and start laughing while looking over at us, the employee that she was talking to even looked around the corner to get a look at us? I liked this restaurant and came here often with a few friends and planned on bringing family in to try it out for lunch sometime. Youd think couple women in their 30s should have a little better customer service.. Good food but this experience was so bad it ruined the meal. I would love a response from the owner.

Well I just ate there on a Sunday afternoon with my family and the meat portions were nice and big and very tasty. However, the moment I walked in I was stared at even while I ordered my food which was very uncomfortable, its as if they just allowed blacks to eat in public resturants. The side orders were large portions as well but need improvement when it comes to seasoning, they were either too sweet, sour, or spicy, but the cornbread corn was good, kinda hard to mess that up since there is no seasoning needed. Oh and I must not forget to mention the nats flying around our food made eating very uncomfortable when you constantly have to swipe around your plate. But if you like that country living with picnic tables that have food left on the seat area that stains your white shorts then this is the place for you. I would suggest getting the food to go, only the meat dishes and make your own sides.

Excellent BBQ! The sausage is from another planet! The pulled pork was very, very good. When I requested burnt ends they GAVE me some beef bark. It was easily the best thing I ate. My wife and I have a strict policy of not eating at national chains when we travel, we were very happy that policy led us here. The young man who greeted us took a lot of time explaining things and have us a couple of samples. TOP NOTCH!! Minor complaint, the restaurant is very smokey from the food smoker, not cigarettes. It is a little overwhelming. But it would not stop me from returning.

We visited about 2:30pm. It was our first and LAST time! The silverware was dirty and we had a hard time finding any clean enough to eat from. Ribs were tough and difficult to cut like they were left over from lunch. I left over half of the half slab as it was not edible. Presentation was bad. Husbands sandwich was not on a plate; just the tray and paper. No one ever checked with our table to see if everything was satisfactory. Did not get a receipt either. To top it off, the seat was dirty and I stained the pants I was wearing. Overall, a very bad experience!

Last night my wife and I came in at 8 for a late dinner. She ordered the chicken sandwich and it was pink like breast cancer awareness pink. I took it up to the desk because I wanted them to replace it and she said its how its cooked and I promise you its cooked. Well it wasnt. My wifes been sick all day from city BBQ. If I could give them 0 stars I would. NEVER eat the chicken or eat there in general because the worker lied to my face.

Nice place for families to go, the food is very good and the portions are big. You will leave with a full belly. Not a big fan of work while dining. Have to pick up your food tray and bus your own table, fill your own drinks. 12$ was also a bit steep as well for a meal with a cup of water. That said the brisket is outta sight as well as the sides. A Bbq fan would love this place.

Had the Sampler Platter...excellent. Also Catfish Dinner.....excellent Sides, dessert, atmosphere, service....excellent. But the 1/4 chicken on the platter was taken home and discovered it was way undercooked. I will definitely return, but you MUST get the chicken done...this review was a "5" until that. The 3 of us at the Restaurant were pleased. The teenage boy at home was NOT.

I have no Idea how the food is there I walked in with my boyfriend and the young lady at the front didnt say a word to me just stood there staring at me and I tell her I never been there before can she help me...still she says nothing. It was not like they were busy there was only one other couple there. I left telling her I would find somewhere else that are willing to help.

The people at this location are OUTSTANDING!!! They go above and beyond to make sure your food & service is done right! My family greatly appreciates the Wonderful Effort you guys made to make sure we had EVERYTHINGS we needed to serve family after the loss of my grandson!! There isnt many restaurants these days with GREAT FOOD & SERVICE...... THANKS AGAIN!!

Young lady who took our order was nice. Gave us a banana pudding with our purchase since they had extra. Food was solid to really good. Nice smokey chicken, ribs center pieces were juicy. Judges sampler was well worth it. Warm bbq sauce and fixings bar are a nice touch. Negatives are flies and messy bbq bottles at the table. Minus that wouldve been 5 stars.

I travel all across America for work. Alabama, Texas, Arkansas, St louis, Kansas City have met their match. best brisket I have ever tried. the bark was amazing. chicken was a little dissapointing but was still in awe of how good the brisket and the pulled pork was. we will be eating here again the next day. Good Job to whom ever runs this place

I love City BBQ and take all of my out of town visitors there. They have all loved the food and have asked to go there on their next visit to the area. My kids love the food there as well. My favorite (by far) is the brisket, followed by the ribs. Their salad is always fresh and the blue cheese dressing actually has blue cheese.

I did not call the order in and was afraid that they would not be able to get everything together on such short notice. The entire staff that I interacted with was very helpful and friendly. They made it seem as though it was not a big deal to put together such a large order at the very last minute. Over the top customer service!!
