This place has the best ribs Ive had in Georgia so far. That absolutely is a personal decision and not one that is taken lightly. Ive had ribs from at least 15 different restaurants in the state, multiple food trucks here, several cook outs/barbecues/potlucks here, homemade, etc. There is only one other rib Ive had that was equally as good from all the way down by Florida at a rib joint in Valdosta, GA I believe, but this is honestly the best for ribs Ive had. Its not the best Ive ever had in my life, but for some reason the rib scene in Georgia isnt that great from what Ive seen. I digress on the controversial statement about ribs Ive made. Ive been to this location several times since they have been open here in Cartersville. The side dishes are a little lack luster, they REALLY need to use more seasoning on dishes like their french fries and onion rings, and the mac and cheese could be a bit better, and the salad could have a little more oomph. The service in the restaurant has always been top notch in my experience. I never wait for a refill, the wait staff is incredibly friendly, professional, and efficient. They have tried their best to accommodate any special requests Ive had. I appreciate that many times I have been there, management has come around to see how guests are doing. They run a tight ship and they run it well. Food quality does seem to fluctuate, and hopefully that doesnt become too much of a problem or unfortunately Ill have to start taking stars away. We have went a few times where the food just wasnt as good as the other times. Period. Whether it was more greasy, or more bland, just not as good as before. Still even when the ribs didnt have me tap dancing, licking my lips, and full of life from being so excited for some good food, they have been still VERY GOOD at the least. Great location, reasonable prices, excellent service. My recommendation for the owner would be USE MORE SEASONING on your fried foods especially, improve your mac and cheese, keep up the good ribs, and please DO NOT start lacking in food quality or your exceptional service and atmosphere. 3 stars only for the food. We were served by Ann and she wasnt happy to have us at all. She wasnt happy it was just 2 of us and when we didnt get an appetizer she was really unhappy to serve us. Salads normally come out before a meal but ours came after we got our meal and she had to back and get those. We had to ask someone else for silver wear. It seemed she was OK with the couple behind us by asking if they needed anything and telling them about the cheese cake free for dads. Once we had our food Ann came back once and we didnt see her anymore till she brought our check and said here you go. We were never offered any more tea and she didnt tell us anything about the special cheese cake for dads either. It seemed to us we were a waste of her time and she proved it too. If she hates serving people she needs a new job. If she wasnt happy with just us fearing she wasnt gonna make a good tip she would have if she earned it. As it was she didnt make a good tip due to the very rude way we were treated. Dont know if we will go again but if we do we certainly will make sure we dont get Ann. Need some training on how to treat people and everyone should have the same service, Great.

Went here for Mothers Day for the first time. They were either very under staffed or under prepared for a Mothers Day crowd. Was told wait would be 30 minutes....this 30 min wait ended up being over an hour. When we were finally seated and finally served appetizers, we asked for silverware. They had none because it was all dirty and this came straight out of the waitresses mouth. I was in shock. They brought out plastic forks. We got our food quicker than I thought we would based on the prior service. The food was okay which is the only reason I gave 2 stars, but Ive had much better. We did finally get 5 things of silverware for our table of 6 adults and 4 children. The waitresses were great, they were working very hard and doing everything they could possibly do. However, there definitely needs to be better management. I was very disappointed and doubt I will be back.

while the food is generally ok, the waitstaff does not seem to be too bright. Our waitress thought that Texas Pete was some form of exotic beer (Im still trying to figure this one out). One of the folks in my party ordered a dry rub on her ribs. Instead of any dry seasoning, it was in fact devoid of any seasoning, and ended up being simply dry and a bit overcooked. My brisket was exceedingly dry as well, and riddled with fat. While some people might appreciate that, I dont like biting into a pile of fat. Two stars because the service was quick and attentive, albeit a little too much leaning too obviously to show off her cleavage, but the waitress was also anticipating more than $12 in a tip.. Neither the food nor the service warranted that. Overall, not a terrible selection for food, if you are starving, but surely there are better options for sustenance in the area.

My wife and I decided to try this place for the first time and Ill say its nothing special. I ordered the sampler platter and received undercooked ribs with ridiculously soggy onion rings. My wife ordered the smoked chicken which was completely dry with extra soggy fries. I should have just gone and ordered fast food somewhere. It would have been better than this disgusting stuff. I really dont care to hear a lame excuse/response from the owner because this is beyond unacceptable for the amount of money we spent. For anyone reading this review if you want REAL BBQ please look elsewhere. No way will we ever eat here again or suggest anyone else to.

Blah atmosphere and seating area., I did enjoy the okra and the French fries. Orderd the ribeye steak medium rare.. got medium well. If you are use to Longhorn or Roadhouse you will find yourself disappointed. My wife tried the Margareta but ended up sending it back. I tasted it myself and could not find a Margarita taste at all. I was really wanting to give a good review since I have heard good things about this establishment. Our server Mercedes was very nice and helpful. Most likely that was the best of the experience here.

All I can say is wow! One of the best ribs and food I have ever had in my entire life was at The Original Steak & Rib House in Cartersville, GA.The restaurant itself is unquestionably clean and has a relaxing ambient environment. The staff was accommodating, attentive, and a pleasure to dine with. Having met the owner at the restaurant, it is very clear how passionate and driven he is to make the best food and dining experience for all customers.

Food is always amazing. Best mac-n-cheese around. Ive had pretty much all the bbq, smoked chicken, ribs, pulled pork, brisket etc. They all have awesome flavor and tender not dry. Great drink specials and dinner specials. The bar is loaded with tvs ,so during football season its a perfect place to go to get a great meal or even a appetizer and drink and watch the games. They have $2.50 beers on draft .Service is always prompt.
