Fantastic Wed night buffet!!! Truly succulent fare! I should have finished after my first course. I REALLY should have finished after my second course. I didnt do either, I am happy to say, and while Im now feeling like I may not need to eat again until next week, I am really, truly, and genuinely tickled that I kept right on sampling the offerings! From the first (and second!) appetizer all the way to the (third!) dessert, not to mention all of the (eight!) dishes in between...wow. Saag Paneer, Lamb Curry, Goat Curry, Vegetable Coconut Soup, Garlic Naan, Lat Mai Chicken, and I cant even remember all of the others. Every single one was delectably prepared. Pleasant, airy, open interior. Very friendly and attentive staff (in my experience anyhow). This would be (and I hope will be, in my case!) a perfect place to bring the wife and kids for a good meal. And their prices are very reasonable given the quality of their food. I am sure some of these dishes dont prepare quickly if youre ordering them individually, but wow is their food good! I have been to at least seven or eight other Indian Food restaurants in the area and this one stands head and shoulders above anything I have found here yet. Treat yourself! After writing this, Im almost ready to head back for fourths! ;-)

My hubby and I decided to give Saffron a try because we had an Entertainment coupon, we love Indian food, and it got good reviews. We had a great experience! The staff were all friendly and made us feel welcome. We tried the Spicy Mango Shrimp, Garlic Naan, Goat Curry (ordered 6/6 spicy), and Chicken Tikki Masala (ordered 6/6 spicy). The shrimp had a kind of strong taste and we didnt care for the combination with the mango. Dave took care of us and offered an alternative, so we tried the Chicken Pakora instead. It was kind of a chicken corndog, only with chickpea batter instead of corn breading. We dipped it in the curry. The garlic naan was delicious, light and buttery. The entrees were awesome! The chicken didnt have quite as much heat as the goat curry, but it had a great tang to it. It was so flavorful. The goat curry was sweet and fiery. Dave checked back with us after we tasted each for the first time. He wanted to make sure we liked it and offered to make it less spicy if we needed. No way! It was hot and great as-is. Well definitely make a point to visit again. P.S. Cry of agony....The next day, I went out to my car and saw I left my Chicken Tikki Masala in the car overnight. Oh, the waste! I was really looking forward to having that for lunch. LOL

The worst restaurant experience ever! Apparently, they dont understand that the "customer is always right". The manager argued with my dad and did not care to fix the problem. The first problem- we had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated. 3 different waiters came up to us and still didnt seat us. The second problem- we ordered the Dum Aloo Kashmiri and after about 10 minutes, the waiter came out and said they ran out of it. If you ran out of it, then wouldnt you tell the customer before they ordered? We also ordered garlic naan but told them to not bring it out once we found out that they ran out of the Dum Aloo. So about 5 minutes later, the waiter brings out the naan. Like what are we supposed to eat the naan with? The third problem- they were so rude to us. We are coming to your restaurant to spend our money and this is how you treat us? I will never go to that restaurant again. It was my first and last time visiting.

Review below is during weekdays with 50% occupancy with 5-6 servers + annoying guy (you will see below) + kitchen staff. Walked in 7.40pm Water served 7.52pm Order taken : 8.10pm (30min after checking in) Out of 4 appetizer 1st one came at 8.39pm 2nd and 3rd appetizer : 8.50pm Still waiting on 4th appetizer. 9.05pm Maincourse: 9.05pm Food Taste & Quality: 8.5/10 Manchurian is good (ask for less onions) Staff knowledge & Social: 3/10 .. 3 is for nice lady who brought water with smile. Rest points taken off for the older Indian gentlemen who took our order (No not the owner- we know the owner by face) Vibes: Average+ Price per plate: Good Owner: Please train your staff to be more courteous. Ordering guy has a bit of attitude. Great food, but wait and service issue will hold me back coming anytime soon. Good luck.

Its the worst restaurant experience we have.Quality of food was OK. We have order chicken Dum binary which was more like chicken pulao. Every item was overpriced. Its probably worst Indian Indian food anyone can have in Columbus with highly priced. Worst of all is service and finally when bill will come you will be surprised because they will add gratuity by themselves.we were 2 person with take away order and for that they have taken added 18% gratuity without even asking us and you have to pay 18% Tip even if you have complain about food or about service.I mean what kind of Tip is that. My suggestion never go to this restaurant until you want worst service experience and worst Indian flavor of food.

I visited Saffron with a friend who I hadnt seen in over 9 months. The restaurant had the right atmosphere and ambience to compliment the perfect food. The staff were very friendly, and made sure everything met our satisfaction. The managers were very warm, and made us feel right at home. Watching the signature chaat chef prepare our dishes was almost as good as eating them. Saffron overall only enhanced the pleasant reunion I had with my dear friend.Thank you to ALL the staff at Saffron for a memorable dining experience. I cant wait to be back!

Been there yesterday. Food that we ordered was stale. I do not understand why were the staffs and the manager pretended as if nothing happened. I am not sure weather he is the manager or the owner but he was arrogant. If this is the way they speak to there customers than I dnt think I would like to entertain my self going there again. SUGGESTIONS: if you guys are looking for good Indian food with great service than PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

Not sure why others are reporting issues with this relatively new Powell restaurant, but we have been 4 times since they have opened and consistently received excellent food AND service each time. We are loyal Aab and Tadka patrons but frankly both suffer greatly in terms of service. Saffron staff has always been very, very attentive and helpful in ordering and a key reason that keeps us going back!

I ordered my catering through PK, the manager. He was very helpful. He knew, Im a speech therapist with a local business. I was providing a lunch-in service to Pediatric physicians in the area. He was able to provide the food in a professional and timely manner. Hes a responsible person. I had no problem whatsoever getting great quality and quantity food service. The food was amazing and presentable.

This may be the very best restaurant in Columbus. Im talking Food Network quality. Get this, The lunch buffet is 799 and dinner is 1299 on certain days. I challenge you to find a better food the variety and the service for a better price. Dave was an excellent waiter and the chef was kind when I briefly spoke to him. Soon you will not be able to get in this location, it will be just too busy
