My cousin and I eat out every Friday, so we are always looking for new restaurants. We decided last Friday to go to the new Red Robin. We arrived at 4:45 and were told there was a 30-minute wait. We thought we might as well stay. Their way of letting you know you can be seated is a text message on your cell phone. I didnt ask what happens if you dont have a cell phone. It was way too cold to stand outside, and there is very little room to sit or stand in the entryway. After we were seated, a waitress explained the computer on the table for ordering and playing games. I prefer to speak to a waitress - not a computer. After trying to find a simple burger on the menu, we ordered. The atmosphere is loud, noisy and chaotic. We were in the front dining room on the right. I noticed that if you have more than four people, seating is going to be a problem. Customers were adapting their own seating arrangements. One table put a chair at the end of the booth to accommodate the fifth person. Im guessing there was another group of seven who were probably told they would not be able to sit together, so they moved the dirty dishes off a table, pulled the table and chairs up to the booth table. I cant remember customers of other restaurants designing their own seating arrangements. Usually you tell the hostess how many in your party, and when they tell you your table is ready, it is already set up. The food - OK, but ordinary. There are other restaurants where I prefer the Burgers and Onion Rings. I asked our waitress if they took reservations - she said no. I did not confirm this. However, I can see where they would not, since there is only one area that could possibly seat a group over four or five. There are bench seats where the tables could be pushed together, but those were all full - at least in our seating area. Bottom Line - We will probably not go back. Maybe early afternoon would be more conducive to carrying on a conversation and not as noisy.

Food tasted decent, but just not a fan. I see the place as more of a blitz for pop culture and new-age techy serving advancements. Call me old school, but the point-of-sale tablet feels like a little much. I enjoy it when I sit down to order my food with a little more customer centricity I dont want to judge the place so harshly. Its probably because it just opened this week, but the other Red Robins (that we have been to) have had better fundamentals on: --having the server check on their customers when the food is running way behind --wait staff that does not overseat a server (possibility it might not be the wait staff, but the servers do walk extensively throughout the dining room. Our server had to walk to a table next to the kitchen, then to three more of their tables 50 feet away) *try that while holding food and running with drinks from the bar and back for extra sauces. --having the food runners check that the food looks presentable (the avacado on the plate looked old/uneatable and some of the lettuce looked wilted) --having the food runner/server always check the ticket before the food is presented to the customer (a couple of things on our order was not brought out at the same time) Overall, its a hopping place with games for the kids, tons of tvs, and burgers.

When we first went in the hostess said it will be a 30 minute wait and they cant text you when your table is ready because its already broken so you had to keep checking in to see if your table ready. I went back up after 30 min to see when we will be seated and the manger said Ill see what I can do and walked away from me. Never came back to answer my question. By then it was 8pm and the place was dying out and I had to go back up again to ask for a seat. They said we can only sit you at the bar even though there were empty tables in the dining room. My party didnt want to sit at the bar so I went back up to hostess table and told them to please put us at a table right now. They finally sat us at a table. Waiter only came once to see if we were doing ok. Ketchup bottle was empty and had to ask for refills on drinks. Never got an apology for treating us horribly up front. At other tables I heard waitress and waiters keep saying " Im sorry about "that... you shouldnt have to keep apologizing for something do it right the first time. Ive never had that bad of service at any restaurant before. Will not go back which is a shame because the food is good.

Family of 5. Friday night about 6:45. Seated quickly only about 7 min. wait. Prompt courteous service. Ashley our waitress took her time discussing and explaining options for my 2 young teen kids. She saved us money ☺. Im not much of a burger person but I tried the Tavern Taco burger with the guacamole on the side. The burger was to bland so added the guacamole, so much tastier. Everyone was happy with their choices. Prices were average for restaurant burgers but I cant compare taste since I dont normally eat restaurant burgers. Liked the Italian dressing on my side salad which had diced tomatoes and cucumbers. Tasted one of the kids fries and it was tasty even though I didnt eat it until we were leaving. I bet they are great hot. I will go again if the kids or hubby asks but Im more of a steak or seafood person. So only if they ask. Server was very good especially for a Friday night

We did an online order with two of the Roast Dip Sandwhiches and didnt get the dip or coleslaw that was suppised to come with it (mind you it is a $15 meal just for one). I ordered a cream soda with no whipped cream and there was whipped cream added to it. As soon as I walked in the lady in the front was extremely rude. I walked over to the bar to pick up my order which wasnt right. We drove all the way from Baltimore (Ohio) to get this order. The online orderung is a mess I will say when I called the manager he was very polite and will be sending us a giftcard for the chaos. I dont know what the service is like inside yet but the online ordering is chaos. I checked to make sure the meals were there but I guess I should have looked more into detail to make sure it was all there. If you plan on ordering online, just dont.

My wife and I went to Red Robin last night for dinner. The experience was horrible. We walked in behind a group of 4 and while we were waiting another couple walked in behind us. The other couple stepped to the side so they could clear the doorway. When the hostess finished with the group of 4 instead of asking who was next she went right to the couple that came in after us to get them a table. The hostess should have asked who was next. I was so mad at the bad service at the front door we left and went to Bob Evans where we always get good service. I was excited for Red Robin to come to Pickerington but if that is the way they do business, I cant wait for them to leave. They do not deserve any of my money.
