We made reservations a couple days ahead for a table of 10. I had been here before for lunch and was excited to bring my kids and grandkids. I guess the owner is the one that seated us. She is not what I would call friendly. She made my husband and son so mad they wanted to leave. In hindsight we should have just left. We had plans after lunch so it was putting us behind that they couldnt seat us. Which is why I made a reservation. The snarky comments she made were not warranted or professional. Instead we stayed and ordered 100.00 worth of food. The waitress was sweet but obviously over whelmed. Some of the food was good (biscuits and gravy, patty melt and cheeseburgers) but the chicken fried steak was not good at all and had a hair in the gravy. I didnt tell anyone at the table as I didnt want to ruin their meals even more. It really put a damper on our whole family day. I rarely get a chance to get my entire family together for a meal and this one was ruined as soon as we walked in. We will never be back.

This restaurant came recommended by my mother in law and it was very disappointing. My 2 boys and I all had pancakes, one plain, one with blueberries and the other with chocolate chips. The pancakes werent good at all, they werent dry like most are but they just werent good. My sausage had a strange taste as well, they were supposed to be maple flavored but I didnt taste that, didnt really taste like sausage. The bacon wasnt any good either. My 10 year old who eats EVERYTHING said the chocolate chips tasted funny as well. So Im not sure what was going on in the kitchen that day, but I will never be back. The service couldve been better as well, I found myself waiting a lot. When I go out to eat I expect the food to be as good as mine if not better, $30 wasted. Needless to say my mother-in-law offered to return my money because of my experience. Going to use it at Super Chefs, my initial destination!

The food was awful. We went for pasta night and the experience was horrendous. There were 4 of us, we ordered the pasta since it was PASTA NIGHT. The consistency of the pasta was perfect but the sauce tasted like it came from a can and the sausage tasted rancid and the bread-sticks were bland. I spoke with server and she rolled her eyes and said she can deal with you all. Since the pasta included - salad, dessert, drink and of course the pasta for 8.99, we ordered but after complaining, we had to pay for the salad, drink, and dessert separately. I understand that since we did eat the salad, had dessert to go and the soda we would have to pay. But $17 EACH for a salad, drink, and dessert, ridiculous. She said you have to pay or you will be reported for dine and dash. wth BTW .... WE DID FIND OUT IT WAS CANNED SAUCE.

We love this restaurant because it is a fun "blast from the past" with terrific service and delicious food. The decor is bright and reminiscent of the old soda shoppes but they have added their own twist with nutcrackers of every shape, style and size imaginable. There is a barber shoppe pole and a 50s car on the wall...a drive-in mural on one wall with a flat screen television cleverly mounted as if it were the movie screen and much more. They also sell homemade chocolates and pies. They sell roasted nuts by the pound (and smaller increments). Remember Fanta in a bottle? Coke in a bottle? Yep, they have those too! The menu offers breakfast, salads, burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches and more...something for everyone. We will continue to travel up there for the experience!

Used to be one of my favorite restaurants until the last time I visit. We ordered an omelet off the menu and decided to not get the hash browns, and sub it with something else. Well beware, the servers dont tell you there are no substitution and you will be charged full price which really hiked up the bill. When we expressed out concern to the server and the manager, they didnt care. They said the same thing, well their is no substitution. In that case, the server should say that. I think that is a little dishonest, and I have not been back since. It is a shame cause I really liked this place, but after that experience I dont trust them, and am not going to spend my money somewhere were they are a little dishonest and unethical.

The food wasnt very good. Everything taste like it came out of a can. The service wasnt great. It was my first time there and it seemed they expected me to know the in and its of their menu. The decor was kinda cool with all the 50s stuff, but there is way too many items on every self. It felt dirty. I wont be going back. I expect more from a "family" small town restaurant. Bob Evans is much better.

A family oriented atmosphere. 50s style diner with a wide assortment of memorabilia to look at, the number one being nutcrackers. The food is awesome and you get large portions for VERY REASONABLE PRICES. This month kids get a real old time lunch box with kids meals. My kids loved it! I highly recommend a visit

This place is pretty good and I love when I get carryout which is usually there skillet breakfast it gets done in 5-10 min and always taste great. When sitting inside the service is good and workers are very respectful. My only reason I dont give five stars is because some Items seem high priced.

My boyfriend and I went here for Valentines Day for breakfast. Coming from a small town, I absolutely loved the Nutcracker. Its a family owned restraunt and the food is delicious. Prices are great, and service is wonderful. Definitely makes you feel right at home. This is our go-to place.

Amazing place! Why is this not known as a tourist destination? The food was great, fresh hand paddied hamburgers, fresh fried fish, salads were wonrerful. The decora was something out of a 50-60s diner movie. The staff was friendly, treated us like regulars. My new favorite hamburger place

The food is over priced, but did taste ok. We waited for a good 10 minutes to be seated with several employees walking by us not even acknowledging us. Which should have been a red flag. The side of onion rings was 4 of the smallest they could have had (they charge more for onion rings)

Got the chicken tenders with a side of fries and coleslaw. Chicken was soggy, batter wasnt crispy at all and all around bland. Coleslaw kind of tasted like cleaner. Fries were pretty good--I wish Id just ordered a plate of fries.

I made the mistake of ordering the fish. It was by far the worst tasting fish I have ever had. The pie is mass produced and not worth $12.99 for generic store bought coconut cream and I will never return.

Recently moved to the area, & this was our first visit. Delicious food & good service! Took pie home & it too was yummy. We will be back with the grandkids. Very family friendly & spotlessly clean!

Good place to grab a good breakfast at anytime of the day. They have a lot of antiques, Coke memorabilia and other cool things to look at. Friendly staff. Food is good, not great.
