So lets start by saying the decor and such is wonderful, I walk in got greeted and seated. I had my drinks in a couple of minutes, and server took our orders. All this was in a timely fashion but, once our salad and soup came out my wife had ordered a salad with Ranch dressing the Ranch dressing was old and did not taste good. We asked for a second dressing Balsamic vinegar, after about 5-7 minutes the server comes back and asks again what dressing we wanted. After talking with him he fetches a menu and asks us to point so we do. After another 5 minutes he comes back with a menu again and asks us again what one we wanted we point the balsamic again. He leaves and about 15 minutes later a different server comes by and asks us we state Balsamic again. By this time were half way through our meal and to be honest the food was sub standard. So about 2-3 minutes after the second waiter has come back with a dressing. We thanked him and she tastes it and says "This is not balsamic" I taste it, and guess what! They brought us Teriyaki sauce... So we finish our meals they promptly brought us our dessert we finish those and they were better than the meal. So about 10minutes go by and I decided ok lets just go to the counter and pay noone brought us the bill. At the counter we spent about 3-5minutes figuring out our bill which was the 2 for 25$ meal. They ended up asking for 36$ so we were confused and then the total was finally brought to 25$ + Tax we paid and then we left. We do not plan to go back ever again.

Im tempted to give them a bad review because I dont want them to get so busy I have to wait too long! But we go here almost weekly. Every now and then the food will be a little sub-par or not like it normally is. I used to get the #4, but it had become too dry or overcooked so I avoided it. But I keep to my regulars and its usually fine. So you might have bad luck and have the less-than-great food they serve about 7% of the time. But the other 93% is worth the 7%. Margaritas are strong but still taste good - expensive but worth the money. A few times we have gotten unflavored when we requested flavored, or on the rocks when we ask for frozen - but hey, theyre margaritas so we just drink them anyway. Although once we requested peach and it tatsed like lime. They skimped us quite a bit. A few of the waiters could afford to learn a little more English in regards to their menu because we think sometimes errors have been made because theyre too busy and dont take the half-second to really listen to what were ordering. But the payoff is typically extremely fast service and food. IN SHORT, eat there. The longest weve had to wait when they are packed (Fridays from about 7-830pm) is still only about 15 minutes or so.

Horrible experience! I have gone to other El Vaquero restaurants and this was terrible. Burritos Deluxe arrived at the table with the plate scalding hot, but the food lukewarm and absolutely NO taste - covered in a milky, watered-down, semen looking/consistency cheese sauce...we also ordered chicken nachos with cheese and these arrived at the table cold and no taste...waitress forgot the refried beans and guacamole with my burritos, when we brought it to her attention, she arrived a few minutes later with a huge unappetizing looking bowl of guacamole, with a plate of tasteless refried beans. Also, when they sat us down to at our booth -- the ultimate pet peeve: they wiped the table and booth seats down and they were sopping wet when we sat down...GROSS! I will not be returning...

Good atmosphere, very bright and colorful. Good chips, and good salsa. The food is all great. Nice staff. I tried the tacos once, and they were too bland for my taste... so stick with the specialties and you cant go wrong. Very safe neighborhood, and its fine to take your kids in there also. The bar gets lively on Sat nights for the grown ups. I would go many more times.

Lunch is the way to go here. Incredibly affordable but great, quality Mexican food. Kitchen is always fast and the service is always attentive. Dinner can get a little pricey, but the food is always worth it in the end. Try some things a la carte then get their Entrée version after you decide what you like best as they always have a great twist to them.

Food is great, service is usually really good. But this Sunday we sat at the bar and the bartender was borderline rude. Not attentive or personable. It was a little busy but she completely ignored us for 5 minutes. Very dissatisfied with the experience.

Everything they serve is great and the menu is huge! The one gripe i have with mexican restaurants is once youve had one or two items, youve pretty much had everything on the menu is some form. Not here. They have so much variety and its all very good.

Its okay. Its labeled as authentic, and they serve their own salsa. You order your food by number with your waiter, and they bring it back to you table and say the numbers, only; So remember your number! They have a bar, and a few outdoor seats.

We were served my a very friendly waitress Wendy. Celebrated my sons bday here and he got a huge fried ice cream for dessert. They sang to him and topped it off wearing a sombrero . Food was excellent and quick. Went on a Sunday afternoon.

If youre from Southern California like us, this is not mexican food. I have never seen a chili relleno be almost a neon hunter green after being cooked. The food isnt horrible, thats why Im giving it a two, but dont get your hopes up.

Fast and polite service. Very reasonably priced. The serving sizes are ample and the food is, as best as someone who lives in NW Ohio can attest to, authentic. If youre a sports fan, they always have the games on.

Service was good but drink prices were really high and didnt taste very strong. They also use a lot of onions in their food and dont disclose that on that menu. I prefer Tekelas over here.

Went there twice. The first time there was a fruit fly on my Margarita. The second time I had the stuffed poblano peppers and the Mexican mash potatoes had no seasoning at all.
