As a former worker at this place this review may seem biased but before that Ive also eaten there. They have their good and bad days. When customers walk in its stressed that you arent on your phone so you can greet them, 9 times out of 10 they were on their phones while saying "Welcome to Sidewalk Cafe" and for new customers who didnt know they could seat themselves, they didnt let them know so the customer stood there waiting. The workers have completely innapropriate conversations while working. Now this place isnt very big so its easy for customers to hear what theyre saying. One day when I was working and my mom came in to eat she could clear as day hear another employee talking bad about me and when this employee was caught she didnt apologize. On one of my first days working they knowingly and purposly put me on the broken computer which made my service go slower and even mess up orders (i didnt even know it was broken until the owner told me over the phone). They reserve tables for their favorite/regular customers way before they come in, so when a customer comes in and sits at that table theyre told to move. One of my "favorite" stories is the time a piece of toast fell into the dirty dish bin AND WAS PUT BACK ON THE PLATE AND SERVED!!!!! Ridiculous! I was embarrassed and humiliated when I went in to give the manager my work permit and she yelled at me infront of the full restuarant that I came in at the worst time and I couldnt leave until the owner physically saw it regardless that I had somewhere to be. (by the way prior to me going in I sent her a text telling her when I would come by & she said it was PERFECTLY FINE). Yes the food is good, yes its fairly priced. But is it worth that kind of service?

Well, it would have been a good experience, but it wasnt because the staff was very rude. My family and I decided to have a fun day out, but because of a very rude waitress, we didnt. Since Im the only one in our family who likes tacos, I bought some tacos from a very good place down the street and brought them in with me while the rest of the family ordered what they wanted. Before the food even came out, I was informed by the waitress that this was not allowed, even though my wife and two kids both ordered meals. When I asked why, she said because it wasnt their food. So if my wife and two kids had been in there alone it would have been fine, but just because I decided to join them for lunch, they had a problem. I suppose if I had just ordered a water, that would have been fine too. Also, we could see the rest of the staff talking about us in the back, and peeking over my shoulder to see what I was typing on my phone (this review actually) so it was a grand old time. We couldnt wait to get out of there, and I guarantee well never be back. Its not like the food is that special either. I never write bad reviews, but I really felt people need to be informed about this place.

I wouldnt waste your time. They arent horrible. That is the best I got to say. When I first walk in they are playing hip-hop rap music but they have an old 50s dinner theme going on. Very off putting. Then most of their tables are "reserved" for whom? I dont know. Their menu is cheap as they come and so is there food. I payed $8.00 for just my food and got a bunch of frozen potatoes, 1 egg, and gross sauge. I will not be returning here. Go down the street to FAYS restaurant better.

My boyfriend & I have enjoyed Sidewalk Cafe every Sunday Morning for the past 4 months. The staff is attentive, friendly, personable, and positive! These girls really bust their butts and it has truthfully paid off! The coffee is great, the food is consistently great, homey and fresh. If you are looking for your go-to spot, this is the place to be! Honestly, with everything accounted for, this is really the best place Ive ever been to.

Went on a Sunday only had one customer in there should have been a dead giveaway but I thought maybe I will get great service hell no service was horrible the girls were either eating or on there cell phones and I thought I was sitting outside from all the flies ! And my food was cold maybe it was a bad day but I will never find out because we will never go back

Three stars because it was a mediocre place. The service was alright, the food was alright. I ordered the Greek omelet, they do serve it with a side of their sauce better when mixed with some ketchup. The pancake I believe is made out of corn meal, so be ready to use some syrup with it because it might make you choke if it isnt moist enough. The coffee is good.

Needed to warm up this morning between jobs so I stopped in.I was happily greet by the staff and seated.I jumped into a conversation about MTV and the difference between then and now.I had the breakfast special and coffee, it was the best. The atmosphere is nostalgic, like a soda shop,pub,etc. I would highly recommend it and I will definitely be going back.

This restaurant fir the most part has good food but the service is awful.. They have extremely inappropriate conversations at the counter on day about spitting in the food and was offended because of the look on my face.

We got if the interstate to specifically eat here. Our food was excellent. We had a mushroom swiss burger and a BIT. The young waitress was very friendly.
