Worst biscuits and sausage gravy. Burnt on the top dry biscuits, then they split and toasted them? And then sausage gravy was served in bowl, beside biscuits. The sausage gravy tasted only of seasonings, not sausage,mayb its from a can? Other person got pancakes, and they werent even done in the middle, covered in powder sugar, hiding mangled pancakes beneath the top one. If u pay 50 cents more and get the maple syrup, they just bring a big jug u buy at the store and give u that to use and it look like it been handled by many, not wiped off after each time its handed out. Very unimpressed and will not be back

Rise and Shine has SO much potential to be an awesome, go-to brunch place right in the middle of downtown. But they lack character and uniqueness. Their food isnt horrible. But its bland and basic. For example, they dont have a signature style of eggs Benedict or a unique French toast dish. Their breakfast food is on par with something you and your friends could make at home. I would LOVE to see them re-vamp the menu with specialty items and change the interior to be more trendy/up-to-date. There isnt really a cool brunch spot in Kent... and I think Rise & Shine could definitely pull it off.

Id happily spend an extra dollar for fresher ingredients. The scrambled eggs are from a carton, the sausage is akin to what youd find in the grocery stores freezer section, and the coffee leaves much to be desired(especially since theres a local coffee roaster down the street). The server I had was nice and environment was cozy. I only wish the food was better.

We waited forever. The hostesses could not get their act together, they gave our table away to people that couldnt speak English. Then our waitress messed up my order and tried telling me I didnt order egg whites when I clearly did. Also they gave us deficient amount of silverware.

Food looked amazing! Taste was okay. Had fresh fruit witch was really good. Prices are high for what you get. Ended up getting water because the drink cost has much as a whole gallon. Overall they are just missing a few points to get a 5 star review. Its worth trying.

My side dishes tasted better than my main dish. Ended up abandoning my very dry, very messy waffle and ate an egg and two pieces of bacon instead. Servers definitely didnt go out of their way to make you feel welcomed or make sure that your food came out satisfactory.

Havent had as great of service lately. The past two times were especially bad. One time I was given a sandwich on moldy bread. The last time we waited 25 mins after being seated before leaving because nobody helped us.

My friends and I have been in for both lunch and breaskfast and we were all very happy with the menu and service. Rise and Shine is my new fav downtown stop. They even have outdoor seating now. Ill def go back.

absolutely horrible.the old waitress doesnt wait on you. the food was burnt. i couldnt believe they would actually serve it . does have potential if the owner would remove head from ass

Horrible if youre expecting fast service forget about it. 1 hour wait time minimum. Give me the raw eggs and Ill cook them myself at this point. Get your stuff together.

The food is fantastic! I love how quaint it is. I wouldve given give stars but it did seem to be lacking in staff. But even then, our waitress was very friendly
