This evening my friend and I went to the restaurant with a coupon for a free appetizer with the purchase of two entrees. We ordered Beef Fajitas for the appetizer, and each of us had the Quesadilla for an entree. We were very disappointed in the quality of the food. First, the salsa served with the chips at the beginning was like a watery tomato sauce--not really salsa at all. Instead of Fajitas, we were served some beef over chips. The waiter did not understand when we tried to clarify, and just said, "You ordered beef." He did not offer to make it right. The quesadillas were not what we expected. They were just a soft tortilla folded over with chicken and very little cheese inside. It was not fried like a quesadilla should be. I could tell that the food was sub-par because I had to return home quickly after this meal! I am usually very happy with the other El Vaquero Restaurants in the Columbus area. I was, therefore, very surprised and unhappy with this experience. I will not visit this restaurant again, and I will be writing a letter to the owner.

This place is disgusting! Cleanliness is far from a concern..the floors looked rat infested...went to grab a bite to eat here after seeing a movie at AMC. There wasnt a whole lot of customers in there for being a few after 6 (couldve been due to holiday weekend). Myself, wife and kids place our order to have it arrive about five minutes later leaving me worried that this was Taco Bells cousin. All of our food looked and tasted like garbage! Ive now visited the toilet several times today...Taco Bell does a better job at presenting authentic Mexican food which is terrible! To top it off I asked for a to go box which had a half dead fruit fly taking up residence...I packed the to go box which made its way to the trash...all for a lovely fee of $50..dont waste your time or a penny at this dive!!!

Terrible...cant understand what u order half the time. Went there today and ordered a 16.99 shrimp cocktail. The cocktail sauce was wastered down tomato paste. I asked if it was the cocktail sauce and they said yes. I promise it was tomato paste. Very watery. I ordered a rum punch and they gave me a rum n coke with a lime and there was a females hair almost wrapped around the lime so i took it back and asked for a new one and again they gave me a rum n coke so i took it back again n got what i actually ordered. The rum punch i finally got was actually really good and that was the only good thing about my visit. I will never go back.

The first time ever going to a Vaquero and their service was lousy, the food was mediocre and the atmosphere was annoying. The waiter messed up on tables and gave me a beer when i had ordered the Vaquero special. I said it was ok since i dont mind drinking a beer. When my check comes i realize he had charged me for two beers. The food tasted like it was only reheated and the customers were so loud and obnoxious that three of them stayed 15 minutes after paying their check just to chatter loudly. It was also the first time every going to a Vaquero and the last time Ill ever go to one.

Asked from grilled chicken in the enchiladas and we were charged extra $1.00 for every little enchilada we got! Waitress never informed us of the extra charge per little enchilada... reason why we ordered grilled chicken was because the shredded chicken they use always tastes old.. never again will we visit this place!

We were in mood for Fajitas and this is one of the best places to go. We both were so full and took some food home. So delicious food, romantic, full bar, if you drink...we do not. Wait staff is very quick and great at getting food out quickly and keeping drinks full. Everyone is so nice to see, every time we visit.

I love this place. I usually dont like mexican rice because it seems dried out at some places but it was delicious here. I love the food and deserts. The customer service is usually great but I have only had one time that it sucked from the waiter. Other than that I would definitely recommend this place

The quality really seems to have slipped at this particular location. The regular bartender makes you feel like youre an inconvenience. Im not sure what issue she has with people but she may want to choose a different profession. Service is pretty slow in the quality is just not there anymore.

House margarita was AWEFUL! Dont waste your money on it. You can get a much bettee margarita any day from texas roadhouse. Waited for over 25 minutes for our food. There are places in the area much better than this place. We will not be back.

Food was mediocre and they are over priced compared to the portion sizes they give you. I order take out and when I got back home to sit down I was disappointed in what was in front of me. Will never go here again. It was a waste of my money.

We eat here frequently. Amazing staff and excellent to go service! Theyre very prompt and friendly. They have wonderful lunch prices and excellent food. This is one of our go-to places for dine in and takeout.

Really impressed! Top notch service, very very good food and amazing prices. Two eat for $20 after tip. If you want beer they have 5x 24oz for $15, dont know how this is possible but enjoy.
