I have been to the old bag about 3 or 4 times since I have lived in C-bus, and I still wonder what the appeal is to this place. I have never had any terrible experiences here, but it just seems so overpriced for average food and average service *(if that)*... I recently got the fish sandwich and fries. Now the fish sandwich was pretty nice, though not very filling and somewhat bland (but what can u expect with a fish sandwich)... On the other hand, the fries (or chips as they call them) are a freakin joke. Probably some of the worst fries I have ever had. And to think I paid over ten bucks for something that I could have gotten at LJSs for half the price. And drinks... $6 for a Guinness on draft? No way, youre kidding! Oh well, this place isnt for me. Probably better for wealthy people that want to get ripped off at a below average casual restaurant.

I absolutely LOVE this place. I have been coming here for pretty close to 4 years now. I am always made to feel like I am the only person in the room. I know I am not the only customer who has experienced this here. The staff is absolutely amazing from management on down. Happy hour is definitely one of the best in the area. I highly recommend you come here alone, with a date, family and friends. I promise you will not regret it!

Typical greasy spoon place. Ive been several times and the food is pub fare that is passable. Nothing spectacular but not bad either. The drink selection is pretty good. The wait staff is unremarkable - not great but not bad either.The best feature is the deck out back that has a very scenic view in the summer.

The service was horrible and I believe they invade your privacy. The greeter was very unprofessional.the waiter didnt get things done that was supposed to been done and didnt listen to us on our order so the order was wrong and caused an allergic reaction they was all rude I would put negative stars if allowed

Ive never had bad food here. Its always good and fresh. Ive had more of an issue with service here on multiple occasions. Long waits for drinks and checks is almost to be expected here. I feel 45 minuets for lunch is a little excessive but not crazy. Now over an hour is just a good way to ruin your day.

Service is always great. Food tastes wonderful. This location tends to be very crowded....you must attend at the right time to park comfortably. They now offer parking across the street near St.Charles athletic building. Im glad they made this location bigger. I enjoy sitting outside in the patio area.

The food was tasty--I had a NY Reuben with grilled fish and veggie kabobs and my date had the Portabello burger. Both came out hot and quick. Server was friendly but slow. The inside restaurant smelled funny, but otherwise was nice looking. Sitting outside by the creek was pleasant.

Deep fried pickles! This fantastic little spot in the C-bus has a thorough selection of bar food complete with deep fried pickles. Their fish n chips may well be the best in town. The service is great and often they have a live band to entertain their patrons.

Ordered over the phone and they completely ignored all of my requests, although the person who took my order asked me to verify over the phone twice! It was a bit dirty inside. I think the crew could work harder to keep the bar wiped down and clear of clutter.

Greeted as soon as we walked in the door and seated. The table was not clean enough for the greeter and she was going to movie us, but we told her it wasnt necessary. We received our drinks , our food came piping hot, and didnt have to wait on refills.

Have gone to this location twice since it reopened. Both times had terrible service. Today the applesauce was spoiled and ruined my appitite. They didnt even acknowledge or bring me more. That was a waste of 50 bucks. Wont go back for a third.

Good, family friendly pub with a broad menu. The bar area is expansive with a good beer selection. One of the best things is the wonderful patio with a great view of Alum Creek. The only downside is the parking lot is a bit small.

It took longer than expected to seat us (party of 4) but we let it fly, no biggie. After we were seated our server never came to greet the table after 10 mins...way too long. We ended up leaving. Service isnt their strong suit.

Food is pretty good. limited options though. Visited a few times, the burgers are amazing! ( The pretzel buns are a must try). Decent liquor selection. I gave 3 stars because their cocktails are always watered down.

This Old Bag of Nails seems old and tired. It makes you feel as if the owners have just given up & dont care anymore. The beer selection on tap shows a total lack of creativity and imagination. Wont be back.

Very delicious food! Fast and friendly wait staff. I had a drink in my hand within a minute of sitting down my food within 10! Not to mention the gorgeous views that overlook the creek.

Great pub with good fish and chips. Wednesday is all you can eat shrimp with choice of fried, grilled, or blackend. The outdoor patio is very nice weather permiting!
