Went there for brunch. Decore is good, service was...Meh. Our waiter was friendly enough (a little too touchy feely as he touched both of us on the shoulder when he talked to us), but he hardly had a voice and it seemed like he just rolled out of bed and struggled into work. He forgot a few things like our silverware and a refill. My brunch companions opinion was that he was out partying all night long and it certainly looked that way. The food was OK but not great, especially for the price point. My companion had two cups of coffee and both had grinds floating in it. They also charged her per cup (no free refills). She had some sort of shrimp and grits breakfast dish. Her opinion was that it was "ok" but had too many competing flavors and the grits were bland. I had the poppy seed pancakes. They were decent, but they sat in a pool of syrup. Id rather have had a side of syrup. There were no sides included, and, again, for the price, it should have included sausage or something. 2 pancakes for $10 is pretty overpriced. I like the look of the place, but I probably wont be back for the food. I dont drink beer so I cant comment on the brews. Definitely more of pub, than a restaurant. There is a certain douchey hipster quotient to the wait staff. The waiter who, as he was starting his shift, strolled in with his sunglasses on and had to chat up every waiter and waitress in the place. It was worthy of an eye roll. The professionalism could be pushed up a notch.

We live close to Hoof Hearted and having visited the HH several times and found little there we were interested in. Before I go on, my wife and I enjoy eating and drinking in local places around us, we are not demanding in any way and get it when the place is packed and short of staff, we will wait. So having said that, we walked from our home to HH, walked in to no host but no big deal, walked around (seat yourself) to an almost full section, we did not want to be crowded and sat away, off to ourselves. No one asked us to sit closer. I made eye contact with both the bartender and the large haired server and received no acknowledgement from anyone, the sever seemed more interest in talking, hugging and cleaning. I asked the bartender about the service, he said he mentioned us to the server and again plenty of eye contact and cleaning up but to no service. 15 or so later we left with no service and went a couple of doors down to a very pleasant place with great service. Frankly there too many good places in the Short North to help this poorly managed place. We are easy customers and a simple acknowledgement would have been nice. Three times shame on me.

My friend and I went here for Brunch. My friend ordered brisket breakfast nachos. The nachos were very good (wish that is what I ordered). I ordered the breakfast burrito. The burrito was blank and flavorless. The eggs on the burrito were "Sunny Side up" with runny yolks. The waitress did not mention that is how the eggs come (and the menu doesnt warn you of this. I was a little repulsed by the runny ooze of yolk all over my plate, but I ate it anyway. The pork inside the burrito was flavorless and almost tasted like it was boiled. Most of the staff on duty looked as though they had just crawled out of bed and came straight to work without showering or brushing their hair. The view from our table was to the inside of the area where the brew tanks are ... and that also happens to be where they store their clutter and cleaning supplies. Needless to say, we wont be returning.

In keeping with Columbuss love for fun, quirky breweries, Hoof Hearted offers a lot when it comes to their beer selection. With beer names like "Are we having fun yet" and "mom jeans" you can be sure a beer tastes as interesting as its name. The food is about on par with the rest of Columbuss food scene. Classic Mexican brunch options are listed next to more classic pub food options. (Brunch Saturday-Sunday, 11-3pm) The interior is very bright and open, and combined with the art deco design, makes the whole place feel a bit like an art museum. Overall Id call the interior generic. It feels more like an office lobby than a tap room.

Beware!! Check your Credit Card statement. I stopped at Hoof Hearted on Friday 10/28 to get a couple growlers for the weekend. My total bill was $38.70. I noticed the following day that I had a transaction from Hoof Hearted for $77.40. Exactly twice the amount of my actual bill. I had to drive back to Hoof Hearted (30 minutes each way) and get a refund. No compensation for my time and gas wasted. Compound this with my previous experience of eating a charred black frisbee that was advertised as a burger, I will never be going back. There are plenty of other great breweries that can have my money.

Go for the beer, and only the beer. Its amazing! A must try for craft enthusiasts. The reason for the one star was the food. We were in a large group and was able to try a lot of the menu since its so small. Not knocking the size at all. If you do a couple dishes but do them excellent, Im more than happy. They did nothing that even comes close to excellent. They use fancy ingredients and charge top dollar, but the end product just isnt that good. Come and enjoy some great craft brew but go elsewhere for dinner. Let someone who actually knows what to do with high end ingredients make your meal for you..

The food here is amazing!!! I ordered the blackened Salmon with mashed potatoes, spinach, and brussel sprouts. Oh. My. Goodness. Best brussel sprouts Ive ever had and that paired with great fish, perfectly seasoned spinach and homemade, slightly chunky mashed potatoes with gravy... Wow. My husband had the porker (sandwich) and said it was just as amazing. And on top of the good food, they also have great decisions with eighties movies and shows playing in the background as well as at covering the walls from a local artist. I definitely plan on going back to taste their other food options.

Great new brewery and kitchen in Italian village. Not sure what I enjoyed more the fresh beers, food or great service. I attended the grand opening and despite the huge crowds and I was still served quickly. My favorite was the Voltan beer, but I tried 4 other ones when I chose a flight and they were all excellent. The food was excellent in both flavors and presentation the fried chicken and fish and chips as well as the Poutine are out of this world. Another amazing restaurant from the owners of the Crest, 4th st patio, alchemy, and several other great restaurants and bars in Columbus.

Beer were pretty good, Id order them again. Food was also good as well. Harsh rating because service and music levels. Servers were pretty classic hipster, which Im not against but when it interferes with getting my food and drink its a problem. Noise level... I could maybe understand on a friday/saturday night but I went at 2pm on a sunday for lunch with my dad.. it was so loud we couldnt chat. Finished our dishes and walked up to Seventh Son. Ive had 2 different friends go on 2 different occasions with the same exact complaint. Didnt expect a brewery to be so hipster/club-ish.
