Treat your face. Who doesnt love a good burger, fries, brew or shake? Excited to go to Mike Symons joint, the food in this place didnt disappoint. This man really knows his meat and pickles. Unfortunately for those of you who love Michael Symon, there are no gnocchi on the menu, but as an ode to his best friend, Bobby Flay, there is chorizo in one of the burger. The place is industrialized mod chic in decor with pops of colors among the sea of black. The restaurant has very friendly and attentive staff. Unfortunately, the place can get very loud. So not really a quiet dining experience. For this, we went for lunch and ordered the Porky Fries, New Jack City, Fat Doug and Vanilla Bean Apple Pie and Bacon to wash it all down. The Vanilla Bean Apple Pie and Bacon shake was nice and smooth. Not one flavor was too overpowering. You will taste the vanilla bean and pie. Yes, you will find an occasional pie crust in your shake. The bacon was present and added a crunch factor to the shake. It may feel weird at first to chew the bacon bits but it grows on you. It is very heavy. The Porky Fries appetizer is thinly cut fries topped with "whiz", which is cheese, pickled chilies and pulled pork. We were given a heaping amount of pork and chilies. The cheese was melted beautifully on top of the fries and the pulled pork was amazing. It was not tough and was very moist. IT has a beautiful barbecue flavor. There was also the right amount of pickled chilies so that you dont have to go scrambling around for water if you are heat sensitive. There are three burgers that won the Best Burger in America at the Sobe Burger Bash for four years and those were the Fat Doug, Yo! and Porky. We tried the Fat Doug. All the burgers are custom-blended Black Angus and are hormones & antibiotics free. You will also find 6 different sauces on your table to try on your burger. When you receive your burger, there is a pickle bar where you can take as much pickles as you want from Mike Symon’s green pickled tomatoes and red onions (yum!), to kimchi, garlic dill pickle, pickled banana peppers, pickled jalapenos, and sweet and hot pickles. The Fat Doug is a burger with coleslaw, pastrami, stadium mustard and Swiss cheese. The meat temperature is cooked as per request and was seasoned perfectly. The coleslaw added a nice crunch and acidity. The thinly sliced pastrami was delightful and added a nice layer of salt flavor to the burger. The New Jack City is a burger with chorizo sausage, avocado, salsa verde, roasted red peppers, red onions and pepper jack cheese. This burger has a nice balance of flavor as well. The red onion added the nice fresh crunch, while the roasted red peppers and creaminess from the avocado breaks up the saltiness of the chorizo. The only complaint was that the salsa verde made the bun a bit soggy and your burger will fall apart. But hey, it’s a burger. The messier the better. Even though this place can rack up the bill, the food is worth it. The quality of meat and the play in flavors makes this place a place you should teleport to immediately.

Almost everything is cooked in lard. They said that they clean the grill with lard as well. My brother and I are allergic to pork, so they had to clean the grill for our food. We had a limited selection to choose from because the fries, chicken tenders, onion rings, and even the "griddled" onions and mushrooms were cooked in lard. We even had to have our buns not toasted, because they toast them in lard. But thats not even the worst part. I ordered a cheeseburger, but it was way overpriced for what it was. It was quite skimpy, with mostly lettuce on it. It didnt even come with any sides, like a salad. When we ordered the sides of salad (side portion for $5) they came out with mostly lettuce, no radicchio or anything else described. Not to mention the salads had a super small amount of dressing, and when we asked for more, we were charged. They nickeled and dimed us on everything. The burger came with little feta crumbles, so we had them "fix it." It came to like $25 a person and we didnt even order the most expensive stuff. A cheeseburger and a salad. No fries. Almost $25. Just pathetic. If I want to drop $25 on a burger and a salad, Ill go Eddie Merlots, and it will actually be a good burger. Not to mention a clean eating environment. The B-spots tables were sticky, with fold-out chairs to compliment it. It felt as if I was eating in a warehouse. Never go here, a better option would be the Gahanna Grill, Thurmans, SmashBurger, Flipside, Hubbard Grille...

Ive driven by this place a few times and never really knew what it was until I looked it up. Its a burger place! I came here with a good buddy for dinner and a few drinks. Our server was great, very friendly and attentive to us. They have a lot of burgers here, and Ive always been a fan of Red Robin, and this kind of reminds me of what they offer. Lots of different types of burgers, maybe not as many as Robin has, but the ones they do have, all sound very good. I got whatever came with the Bacon and fried egg, as thats how Ive been enjoying my burgers for the past 25 years, and I think its catching on! I see it on more and more burger menus nowadays. The burger was good, great mixture of meat and the texture was good, great bun, however; I ordered mine medium and it came out a little over, it was hot (temp) in the center. But it was still a good burger. I also got the fried cracklins. Ive had better, these were just basically fried pork skins. At other places Ive had them, its always been very different on how theyre made, prepared and served. These seemed to be just the skin with little seasoning if any. The better versions Ive had, had some meaty bits, some fatty friedness and some good ole southern seasoning, like a fatty bacon nugget. Ill def be back, they daily special was fried pickle with ranch dressing on a burger. That just kind of hit the spot for something different but sounds really good.

First visit here this week. Ill just say it was OK, and thats really all I can say. Burger was good, but nothing too exciting. Overpriced in my opinion. Normally when you spend $11-12 for a burger, you get fries, or chips or something with it. Not so in this case. If you want fries, its extra, and theyre not cheap--$4 for quite a small portion. $7 if you want onion rings--not sure of the portion here, but guessing small, like the fries. Ill give them props--I asked for my burger cooked Medium, and it was perfect. Ive had a real problem with restaurants cooking it this way---either its raw, or barely any pink showing. They did a good job here---prefect warm, pink center. So, if you end up getting a burger, fries, and a beer, plan on spending $20 minimum. My advice, find a local joint with a good burger and pay half this price. You are definitely paying for the "Celebrity" name here.
