Our favorite (and currently only) oriental buffet my husband and I will attend. (I will also go to Little Hong Kong in N. Ridgeville for lunch.) There is NO OTHER oriental buffet that we know of in our scope that offers sushi AND we feel safe eating at. We have tried several Oriental and sushi buffets. Watami in Parma died, and Kumo in Strongsville has been consumed by a run-of-the-mill Oriental buffet place. THIS IS THE ONLY SUSHI BUFFET THAT WE KNOW OF in our scope that is both tasty and safe. I will reiterate... my husband and I have tried other Oriental buffets. We often feel the quality is lax in food, service, and cleanliness. Not here. I can eat here, and the only risk I run of getting sick is from overeating. Lovely atmosphere, great buzz in the restaurant. Last time we went, they were busier than the last time. I hope this place continues to gain ground. They just rennovated and opened up the buffet to a new section with all kinds of new things that I was so excited to try. Definitely worth a visit for the exploratory palate.

This place has been Kumo Japanese Buffet for a while, it is no longer (as Google incorrectly reports) the Hong Kong Buffet. I visited for dinner on November 14th, and although the price is low and the selection is good, a number of things just werent that good. The egg drop soup for instance was so gloppy, that if you threw a bowl of it against the wall, it would probably stick in place. The sushi had apparently been out since lunch time, and was cold, hard and dry on top. The crabs legs (served cold) were rather mushy indicating that they were a number of days old, not thawed today. Regardless of these problems, I found things to eat that were good, including most of the hot food buffet items and the cooked-to-order hibachi. NOTE that this was on a Wednesday night. I imagine its much better on a weekend night with a larger crowd when theres more turnover on the buffet food, and I think this is true for pretty much all buffets.

If you asked me a few months ago I would have said the buffet is a great place to eat. However my stomach has not been the same since I ate there two nights ago. I should have known better not to eat the tuna and salmon sushi because it was warm, and the rice fell apart. It usually is cold. I thought to myself thats strange, yet continued to eat it. Yesterday I called off from work and spent the whole day curled up in bed and in the bathroom.. it started approximately 4 hours after eating their warm sushi. I am not one to complain and usually only write positive reviews. Having had food poisoning once before. Im pretty sure that is the problem. Right now Im afraid to cough or sneeze. Thank you Kumo I wont be visiting you again and I am half tempted to call the health department.

LOVE this place! Its near my house and I never get bored of it- the owner is half Japanese and half Chinese, so his inspiration was half a sushi bar and half a Chinese buffet. There is a hibachi station, they bring in dim sum or crab legs sometimes, they have a crepe station and will make you fresh crepes. Their soup game is epic- there are usually 6-7 fresh soups to choose from, and they manage to have good choices in fresh fruits besides. Their mini cupcakes are great too. Highly recommended! They also do carry out, if you want a nutritious meal but have to run off to work or something.

I love the sushi!! And the cold crab is so much better than their fried crab.. I have notice the women waitress are lazy compared to the male waiters. We started off with a female waiter than a male started waiting on us and he was on it being us another empty plate to replace the plate he was taking for our crab shells. My 4&2 year olds love it here my 4yr old eats the crabs, crawfish, and clams. We come all the way from canton ohio to eat here its little over an hour to get here but always worth it. Food is always 5stars. The staff just need to get there to get a 5stars from me.

I mean its "OKAY".For those of you who dont know about buffet food.....its usually the cheap quality food. Thats why they let you go back for more and more, lol. I know this because Ive managed all sorts of hospitality businesses. So the chicken is very good, Ill give them that. They have a lot of choices for you as there is something for everyone. The sushi, however isnt all that great. If you want good quality tasting sushi, then you need to go to a full sushi restaurant and not a buffet. The staff here was very nice. I dont think I would be back though. Nothing special here.

Never recommend to go this buffet The waiter said our table was to obtain "last food" after dinner time of 4pm according to the manager who was hiding behind. We entered around 3pm on the first Saturday after July 4. The stupid manager never told us about and just charge our lunch price at the front desk . Our table were really disappointed that treating customer to be upset. In my mind, the meaning of "last food" is telling me "dont come". I never recommend people to go this fake Japanese restaurant who operate by Chinese .

First time here and I have to say I was kinda surprised with the sheer variety that they have here! You can find everything from cooked jellyfish to orange mango chicken. They one of the largest varieties of sushi Ive seen at any restaurant, and a lot things I havent seen anywhere else. Desert selection was a little lacking, not many things that I was able to find I liked besides the crepes. Staff was friendly but you could tell some of them needed a little more experience. For a buffet it was very enjoyable!

Dont let the number of options fool you into thinking its all good. Sushi was pretty gross. Soup was tasteless and sucked. I didnt try everything-- the crabs, fish, and shrimp looked pretty horrifying. The only good things were fried straight from the package--egg rolls and crab Rangoons. On the bright side, the waitress was quite nice and the decor was a little better than the average chinese food buffet. Overall, I would only return to this place if I was training for a food eating competition...

Use to love this place, whole family would meet up for some good food... the last few visits have been hit or miss, the sushi is hilarious! Once it was all soggy as if it sat in water, including the wasabi! They just kept draining the plates it sat on! Disgusting!! The smell of the restaurant is horrid, doesnt even smell like seafood anymore, it smells mildew-y and funky. I simply dont trust eating there any longer, I really believe they are cutting corners & filthy

This is one of the finest Seafood Buffets Ive encountered in a long time. The food is fresh, delicious and there is a variety of dishes that satisfies even the "picky" eater. The staff is extremely friendly and make every effort to please the diner. You may have to wait in line for the crab legs, but once you get your "fair" share, the wait is worth the while. I love the frog legs there because the texture is mouth watering and pleasing to the taste.
