Seriously the worst restaurant experience in my life. The Veal Marsala tasted like a maple syrup pancake, the calamari was as chewy as a rubber band, and the frozen veggies that they put in a pretty poor excuse of penne, were completely water logged and under seasoned. ( Pasta was way under cooked and far from el dente and the sauce was super watery and flavorless) After taking a few bites of everything, we finally chose to tell the waitress (whom was absolutely a sweetheart) that we simply were not happy with the food. The owner stormed over to us, and argued with us about everything. She literally grabbed bites of our food with her dirty fingers, and threw them into her mouth and without even cheweing them she swallowed them whole and said everything was delicious. After I point out that I am a chef, and we both know darn well that the Marsala did not resemble Marsala under any circumstance (and for $17) and how the Calamari was as rubbery as chewing on a shoe she comes back with saying how she thinks the cooks must not have added enough water or flour to the Marsala sauce and says how there is no way it is maple syrup because she doesn’t have that in the kitchen. Um, do we not know what maple syrup tastes like? Regardless if that was their ingredient, it still TASTED LIKE SYRUP! She also argued that the calamari was still perfect and if we still disagreed she would be willing to just throw it back into the fryer. Um Seriously??? When a customer has to come out and say “Are you honestly arguing with us, are the customers not always right” and she says that her food is delicious and that we are crazy, needless to say we will not be back. I highly suggest the sweet waitress gets a new job. This place is clearly going under.

Best Italian food. Look forward to going again. It is one of the best kept secrets of Cleveland. They dont do much advertising. A friend told me about this place. Not very big. Very friendly staff. My only complaint is that I went there on Christmas eve to get some spaghetti to go and I was told that they were having a private party and would not make me any.

Good food ..reasonable prices..lots of regular customers Could use more parking spaces The owners are friendly with customers..catering available for pick up..bread ,soups. Some deserts are homemade..authentic Italian food is the specialty..occasionally surprise one it two day homemade dishes..serves alcohol with meals if desired

The food here is so bland! I had the chicken marsala and my wife had the chicken percata. The sauce tasted like it was from a spaghettio can and the chicken breast were as flat as pancakes. The sauce that was smothering the chicken was bitter and lacking so much flavor. It was a major disappointment, eat here at your own risk!

Actual Italian food! The service might not be the fastest in town, but the food is awesome. Ive enjoyed real carbonara pasta here! As the years have gone by, the taste has become more Westernized. Still, it is as close to an Italian cafe as I have ever gotten in the United States.

What a wonderful restaurant! Warm, friendly atmosphere - like going "home" for dinner. Great for the whole family or that special occaison with that certain someone! The food is so enjoyable, home made and very affordable. Everything on the menu is really good!

I am Italian and Caffe Roma and a 100% Italian restraunt I have been there 1 year ago, the restaurant and my uncles, and eat well. Who is Cleveland and want to eat I recommend Caffe Roma and do not regret it.

The place is clean and very cozy. They are having good selection of coffee. I like the staff - friendly and with smiles. The prices could be better. Oh, and the coffee they are serving is good.

the food was good, nothing special as far as good italian goes. great location, went there for lunch, everyone in my party got food poisoning, i think it was the clams or possibly calamari.

Best Italian food in Cleveland. Husband and I split the lasagna. Its so good!! They have a liquor license now so you cant bring your wine anymore. Try the calamari...its awesome.

This restaurant has great food at a reasonable price. The dining area is unique with all sorts of pictures and maps on the wall. They have a lunch menu and gelato also.
