My first visit here was to have lunch with a friend. Our server Kim was wonderful - attentive & thoughtful. She kept our iced tea coming, bless her heart! I cant tell you much about the menu because I saw the BLT sandwich & roasted potatoes side, & I stopped reading. Fabulous choice! The sandwich was huge & loaded with yummy bacon & delicious tomatoes. (We dont have a lot of delicious tomatoes down here.) Well worth the price - I took half the sandwich home to enjoy. The interior of United is spacious & simple - the perfect place to meet & chat with a friend over lunch. Right in the heart of the Downtown Firt Myers Historic District. Will definitely make this a regular spot!

I have never not wanted to leave a tip....until tonight. What horrible service, and mediocre food. I spent 7 months deployed in the middle east as a United States Marine, and had better food there. Until, United ale houses BBC sandwich. I have had better out of a bag, also service sucked, and they didnt have what my wife wanted, which was the tenderloin. So she got a salad. After 2 and a half hours of mostly waiting with empty glasses we were ready to leave. As soon as we found the server and asked for a check. People, dont waste your time, or money.

Have been several times for breakfast/brunch and always found them to be great. First, whatever they are doing with their eggs is pure magic. Breakfast always hearty but not the type that puts you back to sleep. Best spot downtown if you want a relaxing bite outside while you enjoy their fantastic coffee or even a cocktail. Inside bar is no slouch, with an awesome beer selection. United Ale House stands out for being an easy place to walk into and be welcomed while having enough quirk and charm to set it apart.

Have to finally admit that I wont go back. Have tried it four times. First meal was good , but the service was bad. Second time we just couldnt get waited on. Finally left. Third time was a charm and our dinner was great. So was the service, but the fourth time was the clincher. Cabbage rolls were terrible! Dry and microwaved. Clearly not made fresh that day. There are better places downtown to eat

Cool decor and nice beer selection, BUT they had a problem with their chiller and only about 1/3 were available. Warm bottles too (duh, put some in a tub of ice!). BBC sandwich was tasty BUT the beef was chewy and had a hunk of gristle hanging out the end. Only half capacity crowd. And the crew looked short handed for a Sunday afternoon. They tried, maybe just a bad day.

Just the friendliest place! David, Andy, Adri were so warm and accommodating. I was visiting from out of town and the staff took pains to make me feel welcome. Good food, solid bar and great people. Blasia was delightful and made the experience compete with good service and great attitude. If youre in downtown Ft Myer and looking for a chill spot, this is ideal.

We sat down and ordered drinks, ordered our food immediately. We waited 35 minutes for our food and eventually left. Our waitress was serving drinks at the bar and wouldnt get our food, even after I went up to the bar and asked her for it. All of the other customers that arrived after us got their food before us. Horrible experience.

Great breakfast. Didnt know two eggs could taste so good. Had it with banger sausage. Potatoes and toast, to finish it off. If I was local, Id be here everyday. I wish I could have given this place 6 stars. This is in a very popular section of town. Tons of eating and drinking options.

My eyes caught union jack and open sign, so there was no way Ill skip this page at 8 oclock in the morning. Wish i could stop here in the evening to try beer, but so far had really good meaty omelet and cup of coffee. Nice place to stop by.

Not only is it nice to have some good British good in Fort Myers, the food is AMAZING. The pot roast is the die for. If you have not been you have to go. Im new to Fort Myers but they make me feel like Im family.
