The decor at Tandoor is exceptional. Beautiful tapestries line the walls and the lighting is very romantic -- but not too dark. The lady that appears to run the place is extremely nice, this place has, by far, the best service of any restaurant Ive ever been to, including Jeff Rubys Steakhouse, et. al. The food is very good as well. There is tons of variety and Ive yet to try a dish I did not like. After becoming a "regular" there, I was offered a "home style" chicken dish that isnt on the menu. It was absolutely phenomenal!! I have no idea what it was actually called, the owner just referred to it as, "homestyle chicken curry", but it was a bone-in chicken curry in a sauce that didnt appear to have any cream or milk in it. In short, this is an excellent place to go. I would highly recommend it as one of Cincinnatis, must try, Indian restaurants.

Used to be the go to place in all of Cincinnati for Indian food. Used to also be the place to cater Indian food. After dining there over 50 times and catering from them dozens of times in the last 5 years, I can attest that Tandoor has been going downhill for a long time. It may be the increased competition or the owners are just burned out. What I can tell you is that the competition is where to go. There are so many new Indian restaurants popping up and some of them are absolutely incredible. Its a shame, we knew these guys were one of the pioneers of Indian dining in Cincinnati, and we would support them with dining and catering orders. The owner is rude and he refused to apologize for catering orders that they screwed up. Time for us to move on.

Out of all the Indian restaurants I have been to, Tandoor is the best. Their food has the most flavor of any Indian restaurant I have been to. Two of my favorites on the buffet are the chicken curry and tandoori chicken. They also have delicious cabbage, and I normally do not care for cabbage, but this is awesome! The rice pudding and galub jamun are the best I have had as well. My wife, as well as my best-friend, and I, will drive about 45 minutes just to eat at Tandoor in Cincinnati, even though there are several Indian restaurants in Dayton, which is much closer. However, we do occasionally visit Kohinoor Palace, in Dayton, as their food is a close second to Tandoor. If you are looking for the best Indian restaurant in Ohio, Tandoor is it!

I was on a business trip to Cincinnati staying in the Blue Ash area and was looking for an Indian Restaurant as it is my favorite type of food. I found Tandoor. The people there are extremely friendly and the food was excellent. I am spoiled having grown up in NY and had exposure to the best Indian food one could hope for, but Tandoor really is excellent. First I must say that their Mulligatawny Soup is by far the best I have ever had. It has shreds of tandoori chicken and was so, so good. The other food was very good as well. If you are looking for a nice place to have Indian food, this is an excellent choice!

I ate here on a recent business trip to the Blue Ash area - Im a vegetarian so Indian food is always a safe bet for me. The food was good - I had a malai kofta with roti. The sauce didnt have too much sugar or ghee in it ( which is common in many Indian restaurant) which was nice, but was a little run of the mill. Admittedly, I might be a little spoil choice as I lived in England and now NYC. The staff are wonderful and very friendly, but the decor is a little drab. This is not the place to take someone on a first date/swanky business dinner - but its great for just a simple place to eat.

Awful I was there last night after comedy club show, it was really bad, I grow up with Saffron rice, know the color smell, taste and how to make it. They have it in all their menus, I ordered a plate, and it was a plain rice dish. When I asked the Indian girl waitress where is the Saffron? She said it is in it, taste it, really what a big lie, another worker admitted the waitresses lie. I ordered Shish Kebob, go try any centuries Shish Kebob, Tandoor’s Shish Kebob means sliced breakfast sausage, really? Paid $6 for a beer and $52 for the dinner not worth even $5. What a disappointment.

Tandoor (and a few other restaurants) is located off Montgomery Road in what appears to be a former suburban office park. Maybe not, but that is what it looks like. In any event, you could easily miss it if you didnt know exactly where you were going. Once you get there, wow, surprisingly good. It just goes to show that the good restaurants stay around for a while, even if they dont have the best locations. Allure and the Thai restaurant on this street are also worth a visit.

This is a small, out of the way, family owned and operated authentic Tandoor style Indian restaurant. Its located about twenty minutes north of Cincinnati, OH, about a tenth of a mile off Montgomery Road, behind Camargo Cadillac. But, during the fifteen or more times weve been there over the last twelve years, the food and service has always been GREAT!

Based on all the raving reviews, I decided to check out Tandoor this weekend. It was a terrible disappointment. The buffet was very small and the main feature, Chicken Masala, was in a very watery sauce rather than the typical creamy. It seems as though the owners are cutting corners. I would highly recommend finding a different Indian restaurant.

Great Place to eat Indian food! I loved Chicken Makhani w/ Butter Naan exact taste as we find in India. Absolutely loved the ambiance unlike some restruants in Sharonville. I appreciate chefs interest to cook variety food last night he made out of interest chicken dum biryani which I was looking from a long time in cinci it was yummy!!

I love indian food, but the food here sucked. I had the buffet, so that might of been the problem. The curry was watery and bland, tandoori chicken dry. The food does not live up to the atmosphere. The indian restaurants in Clifton put this one to shame. The service was nice though. Perhaps dinner of the menu would be better?

My husband and I eat here at least once a week. It isnt uber fancy and thats why we like it. We only eat there for dinner rather than the lunch buffet because the dining room is softly lit and quiet in the evenings and we always receive amazing service. The food is always outstanding and their chai tea is delicious.

Tandoor Indian is an excellent place to eat, and I always look forward to my next visit. Lunch buffet is the best around, and dinner is equally delightful. I especially appreciate the mixed vegetables and lamb vindaloo, but the best flavor comes with the mulligatawny soup.

We have eaten at Tandoor for the past 25 years and have never once been disappointed. Several of our friends and family had never eaten Indian food and were a bit hesitant to do so. Tandoor was a great way to introduced them to it. Great food, great service!
