If I could do half stars I would give this place 2.5 stars because half the time its good and half the time its not. Its just so inconsistent here. I honestly dont know why Ive given it so many chances. I came here when it first opened and had great food and service. Since then the menu has changed multiple times (which I get, as a newer restaurant you have to see what works and what doesnt) but I feel like the quality of the food had diminished. The wings are strangely spongy and pickle chips are doughy, edible but I wouldnt get them again. However, the waffle fries are great, the burgers are good and my friends liked the pizza and hoagies. The service has suffered as well. Ive never had horrible service but its okay at best. The servers are friendly enough but they all seem inexperienced, you never know when theyre going to come by your table and for some reason bringing out a tables individual orders when theyre up rather than all at once is a thing. Ive sat with my food in front of me for several minutes waiting for my friends orders to come out before eating. Its also now come to the point where the past few times something has been wrong. Its generally nothing major like getting regular fries instead of waffle or just being out of something but still tiresome when it happens regularly. Its becoming the one consistent thing they do. I think Ive visited for the last time because finally it all happened at once; service was slow, food was meh, out of something I ordered, had to go get a menu when a friend joined us later and the kicker... My boyfriend ordered a Whodey burger which is supposed to be chili, shredded cheese and diced onions. Instead he got a regular cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato pickle and onion. So he returned it and I knew what was going to happen before it came back and I was right. He got the same burger back now with chili dumped on top of the toppings! It was like a scene from a movie. Oh but he got fresh fries because they didnt want him to get cold fries. I wont say dont go here but I wont recommend going either. I do wish them the best because a restaurant is one of the hardest types of businesses to run and I hate to see places close but I think theres some work to be done.

Jax Tavern is an exceptional casual sports restaurant, easily earning a five-star rating. The key to a great sports bar is a great crowd. Jax Tavern has such a crowd--the diverse, friendly group is mostly young to middle-aged, often in professional attire despite the clear casual theme if they just came from work. Attracting and keeping such a crowd demands highly superior service and consistently good food. Jax Tavern offers both, thanks to exceptional hiring and training by the General Manager. An added bonus is the exceptional value--prices at Jax Tavern are more reasonable than those at similar national chains, and the quality is indisputably higher. Im a frequent traveler from out-of-town whos visited Jax Tavern seven different times. I know that most cities the size of Greater Cincinnati dont even have one sports restaurant of the caliber of Jax Tavern, and that most similar sites of the same quality are found in trendy downtown areas with higher prices and virtually no parking. Forest Park is lucky to have such an excellent establishment in a pleasant suburb with virtually unlimited safe parking close-by. I most strongly recommend Jax Tavern as a sports bar, as a daytime family restaurant, or as an after-work meeting spot. The value is significant, and the quality of experience is unsurpassed.

I visited this location today after a Board Meeting along with a few other people. The waitress was rude along with the manager whose name was Bill. He never took the time to try & accomadate us. He was too busy getting smart & storming away from our table. But not before telling us that he was not there to give away free food. We came to dine & pay for whatever we ordered. There was one individual in our party who had dined at your place of business the week before & was served uncooked chicken & had spoken with another manager by the name of Danielle who assured him that he could have his food replaced on his next visit. Clearly this place is unorganized & does not care about its customers because if so the information would have been on file. These are the people you have representing your Establishment & their behavior today was unacceptable. If I could have rated you with no stars I would have. Keep in mind that without customers a business cannot run properly. I will be sure to pass along to everyone I know the experience I had today!! We ended up leaving & dining at Red Lobster!

Spent seven minutes calling in a takeout order for an 8" speciality pizza & six BBQ wings. This happened today at 6:47 pm. The lady who answered the phone put me in hold when I ordered the pizza. She came back on the phone and I repeated my order. She put me on hold again because according to her shes never taken a pizza order and she had to get a server familiar with the menu. When the server got on tht phone he said "hello", like Id just called his personal phone. No "Sorry about that sir, what would you like to order." So I proceeded to repeat Id like to order an 8" chicken speciality pizza. He asked me was it a BBQ pizza. Ummm, I dont work the but looking at your menu online there is only one speciality pizza and it has BBQ sauce. So after I tell him the ingredients on tht pizza he asks me to hold on. I hung up the phone. This was going to be my first time eating at this place. I decided to order there because I was at the Walmart next to it. Ill never find out how good the food is because Ill never eat at a place with such a clueless staff.

The staff is still working through its kinks week by week. This is a new establishment so there are some very slow traffic from the servers when things get tight and there are a lot of people. Their cheesecake is not very good and neither are their loaded waffle fries. A few servers leave something to be desired, but with all of that out of the way I think anyone wanting a fantastic experience should go to this restaurant. The managers, owners and MOST of the servers care very much about why they are there and what they do. It usually takes a restaurant over a year to figure things out and take constructive criticism from customers, JAX has taken the criticism and come back stronger every single time, every single week and they continue to wow me and get better with every passing moment and that is exactly why I come back. I cant wait to see how they are operating next week because I know they will be even more impressive. Bravo!

I will admit I was hesitant to try this place after reading reviews. But I had a coupon and I miss BW3 so I decided to go there for lunch. First thing I hear when I walk in - is a customer telling the manager(?) that service was much better this time compared to last time. So it seems there are still some issues. When the manager asked where we wanted to sit - I said... Where that lady (the customer who got better service) had been sitting. Ha! Well I guess it worked because we had excellent service. The food was good... not great but decent. I havent tried out the bar yet but the beer selection is WAY BETTER than BW3 had. They also have KENO here which is a plus for me. Another odd thing about this place is the HUGE stage in the middle of the place. Seems very out of place. Is it a club or a family restaurant? So Id say ignore the bad reviews and give Jax a try...
