I came here with my parents and fiance to celebrate our engagement! We were in a celebratory mood and wanted to eat nicer food in a great atmosphere. Unfortunately, our waiter was continually rude and neglectful. The food posted online did not match what was being served in the restaurant. This was a let-down, as my family keeps kosher and had chosen the restaurant specifically because its difficult to find a up-scale place where all of the entrees arent pork or shellfish. When I asked to have salmon without the clam sauce, the waiter told me absolutely not. After a great deal of resistance he finally agreed to ask the chef and returned to say it would be fine. Ive asked for clam sauce, shrimp, bacon, etc. to be removed from food in higher priced restaurants before (i.e. Local 127, Brown Dog Cafe, Jean-Roberts Table) and the waiter has always been happy to check without argument. The food itself was not amazing. If you want a nicer meal out, this really isnt the place, unless they hire a new manager.

This restaurant has made the Clifton Gaslight District a living hell. The owners and staff are incredibly RUDE to the people who live in this neighborhood... people who were in Clifton LONG before their "upscale" restaurant took over this location. They illegally placed "Cincinnati Police - No Parking Today" signs on all of the parking spots such that no one in the neighborhood could park. When questioned about the legitimacy of their actions, they lied about legally obtaining permits for these spots. It wasnt until the police was contacted that they came clean. Ive overheard the owner and his management yelling at owners of establishments that have been in the neighborhood for years. Tinks previously occupied this space and I never knew of a single complaint from the neighborhood about them.

Managed to get a table with 4 friends on a Saturday night, all of us visiting Cincinnati, before the crush of diners. Luckily I lived on this street 40 years ago, so we landed here by chance. Our waiter was attentive, knowledgeable, and charming. The food was excellent -- all of us enjoyed our dishes thoroughly. Some of my companions preferred the way that they concoct their mixed drinks, but there were no major complaints. As a vegetarian, my choices were limited, but the Risotta Cake was very satisfying. It was a lucky, accidental find. Id be delighted to eat there again.

Awesome restaurant. Ran by cooks that care and have a passion for being creative not being intimidated by the judgement of others. They use fresh local ingredients, and have a young but knowledgeable servers. The restaurant seems to have made some critical changes in both front and back of the house. They just seem to be more intuitive to the details. Which will be the one thing thats sets restaurants apart from just another restaurant.

Modern farmhouse decor with small but delectable menu. The red meat market choice was a perfectly cooked, tender, subtly flavored shoulder roast. Large wine selection. Flavorful, conversation inducing appetizers. Well served with waters always topped off without interrupting professional conversation. Great place for adult celebrations. Area mostly kid-proof but more of an adult oriented atmosphere.

The night started out great and dinner was perfect. How ever when we left the valet was no where to be found. After talking to the front they found him and when he brought are car up I did not tip since I was waiting for 20 mins. He ask if I was going to tip still. I explained why he was not getting one and as we began to drive away he gave us the middle finger. The worst valet experience of my life.

Our party of 8 enjoyed lunch today at this outstanding eatery with excellent service. First time for all of us but one. Everyone loved the creative food with fresh ingredients. Our favorites included kale salad, salmon burger, hamburger, and flatbread. We had excellent service. Wonderful atmosphere too. We will be back and pass on recommendations to family and friends.

Amazing! The Truffle Ravioli was perfectly rich and creamy and the salmon was full of flavor! We had our waitress, I believe her name was Kate, surprise us with a glass of red she liked and let me tell you, she did not disappoint! Exactly what we were looking for! Thanks for the awesome service!

We brought out-of-town friends and family here on a busy Saturday night. The exceptional cuisine was fresh, seasonal and deliciously prepared and seasoned. Our server, Trish, provided attentive and professional service. Our guests were delighted with the experience. Will definitely be back!

Great food, great atmosphere, excellent drink selection. The service on the other hand leaves something to be desired. I can only assume they over booked there reservations, but I was asked three different times if we were finished with our desserts. Not a welcoming staff.

Excellent service and a diverse menu. Everything on the menu is delicious. Cocktails are excellent as well. There is valet parking and it is very nice to look at with the original windows from the early 1900s across the entire front of the restaurant.

The soup and salad were delicious. The lamb special was cooked to perfection. The bread pudding was sweet and smooth, I couldnt stop smiling. The waitstaff were very observant. The place was just a little crowded.

Shrimp with grits is a popular menu item these days it seems and I finally ordered a portion. Its okay, wouldnt order again but the fried Brussels Sprouts were borderline criminal, too burnt and super oily.

One of our favorites...the food is incredible, we love the staff & atmosphere too! La Poste is a great addition, to a really nice neighborhood, a true plus for the Gaslight/Clifton.
