Not one to complain much about local businesses. I did not know anything about this place other than the fact that they served pot pies. It is also a place that serves cocktails and bourbon. Ive never been able to get over the hump and in to bourbon. that does not pertain to this review though. we had four people all together and we were seated very quickly and the waitress was fine. we ordered three appetizers drinks and dinner. all served quickly. the nut plate is actually a bag of nuts. the pickled vegetables were a small cup of celery, radishes, and carrots that were not really pickled. two of us has the ribs, which tasted OK. but they were tough and there were 2 ribs and some coleslaw. one person had a special pork loin, which was actually just a pork chop. it was tough as well. another person got the pot pie, thats probably the safest bet and it was good. the simple salad is probably the biggest joke on everyone. five or six bites of one type of baby lettuce and dressing. $6 for that, so $24 for 24 bites of lettuce. should have just added the vegetables to the salad from the not very pickled, pickled vegetables. we had several rounds of bourbon and by the last round the serving decreased by half. all in all, this place had a good feel to it and I liked the idea of the food. It seemed though, that people just have in to the idea rather than the reality. The food was not very good, it is massively over priced and the portions for the price were crazy. some how this place is considered good. but, I doubt that it can last. reminds me of the scene in demolition man at the taco bell.

This place has a lot going for it, and is well worth a visit. The atmosphere is small and simple, there is lots of wood decor contrasting white walls and black trim, fleshing out a comfortable modern rustic vibe. The bar is very well stocked, and they have a good sense of flavor. There is a monthly cocktail that is themed after and supports a local nonprofit. February 2017 was a delicious bourbon, cherry, and chocolate bitter cocktail called "glass of menagerie" which supports a local theater group. The food is delicious, though some of the servings are quite small. They definitely take the tapas approach tempting you to get many different things as a group and share. If you are not fond of that approach, they do keep several items on the menu that are filling all by themselves. I recently had the meatloaf sandwich, which was a large portion of very flavorful meatloaf served open face on a ciabata roll, smothered with onions, peppers, and a delicious spicy Sriracha gravy. All this with fantastic service makes this a must try place.

I love bourbon and I really like this place. The food is really good, but the portions can be a little small for the price, which is why I have it 4 stars. Regardless, its still worth it. Wonderful bourbons and cocktails. The place is a little snug, but theres more than one area to drink/dine. The outside is a lovely garden area and is nice and spacious and, in the colder months, still has live music and a fire. Wait staff does service the outside area. The bar staff are very knowledgeable and can make a mean cocktail. The brown butter rice krispies square with bourbon-infused chocolate chips is a must-have.

I first started going there grudgingly because my bf likes bourbon and Im not much of a drinker but have come to love, love, love the small plate offerings - especially the shrimp po boy & roast pork plates. Cant speak to the quality of bourbon they offer but everyone I have ever gone with has never complained! Upstairs loft & porch are my favorite places.

Mad Anthony. Theyve got great artisan food, friendly staff, a solid bourbon and cocktail list (again, Mad Anthony), and a great vibe both inside and out. Their patio is really nice when it starts to get cooler outside and theyve got the fire pits going. Good place for Sunday brunch as well. Mad Anthony. When you go, try this first.

Come for the cocktails, stay for the small plate eats, top it off with a nice craft beer. The specialty cocktails do not disappoint, especially the Mad Anthony, which includes their house-made ginger beer. Food is to die for and facilitates sharing and passing, and the tap list is short, but all winners.

Amazing food... Consistently amazing. Cocktails are on point. Mid range pricey but worth EVERY penny. Its our favorite place for big and small celebration. Highly recommend the Manhattan... But all of their cocktails are fantastic.

Along with Japps, it has the best mixed drinks in the city. Also, the brunch is incredible. Lastly, the staff is amazingly friendly. Ive stayed past close just to chat with them almost every time I stay late.

Reminded me of the joke about the two women vacationing in the borscht belt of the Poconos. First women: the food was really not that good. Second woman: I know and the portions were sooo small.

Amazing food and expertly crafted specialty cocktails. A bourbon lovers paradise, but many great drinks for non-whiskey lovers. Cant go wrong with anything on the menu, food or otherwise.

Fantastic cocktails and food. For breakfast, try the GLT or the french toast. Make sure to get a scone; theyre not the traditional dense biscuits, but instead very light and flavorful.

The food was excellent! They have an interesting menu of deliciously prepared food. Great drink choices too, including local beer choices. The Peach Crostata dessert was awesome.

Consistent and delicious. A rare combination. Absolutely love building fires in the colder months and letting the kids roam outside when it is warmer.

The crabcake sandwich, which was GF, was amazing. The pecan pie with bourbon whipped cream, was absolutely the best pecan pie I have ever had.

Great. Menu is small, but that means everything gets the care it needs and stays fresh. The special hamburger was one of the best Ive had.

Great food and spirits selection, but prices are high and the service has been consistently slow over several visits. Nice outdoor patio.

One of my favorite places in Cincinnati. Food and drinks worthy of pretense, but you will find none here.
