1 star for constantly getting cold side mashed potatoes. Dumplings 5 stars . I Had chicken and dumplings take out. Its my favorite at cracker barrel. This was my first carry out from any cracker barrel. I always get the dumplings with mashed potatoes and my sides are mashed potatoes and dumplings to make a nice big meal for 2 settings for me. The carry out had a small amount of potatoes which i assume was the side and none with dumplings. For some reason every time i order this meal the side of potatoes are warm outside and cold in middle so it just not this place its also the dayton, mansfield locations to. My suggestion is corporate needs to go over reheating temperatures to be served. Corporate needs to earn the millions in bonuses they get and be and under cover boss and see what its like to eat at the barrel and have to send back a side of mashed potatoes every time to be reheated as sure it would only happen once. But on good note dumplings were fantastic as always.

They waited until they brought every ones food to the table to tell me they didnt even have what I ordered. Long story short we asked to speak to the manager and she asked what we expected her to do.. Told my husband I didnt want to re order because they will all be done eating by time I get it. No point. So, the manager took my families plates right out from under them (4 being my small children while taking bites of their pancakes) as they were eating and walked away when I told him that.. Never said they were done! My kids screamed and cried and still talk about it. Who would do such a thing! Called corporate and all they did was send us a comp card for two people... There were six of us! We have never been so completely humiliated and embarrassed!.. Still upset over it! Even corporate is a joke!

I friend and i went there for breakfast on September 19, 2016 around 8:15 am. The waitress was friendly and what we would like. A customer sitting behind us, said " dont get the grits because mine were cold". Well we should have taken that as a sign because everything went downhill from there. My hash brown casserole was reheated from the day before ( my guess probably had been in frig longer than that) and the gravy ( which I did not eat was left over and barely reheated that had he consistency of grade school paste. They place should be shut down for breakfast or FIRE the entire kitchen staff. HORRIBLE, NASTY FOOD!! This restaurant gets no stars, but you cant post if you dont give it as least 1. They SUCK!!!

Wife and I went on a Saturday (12 mile drive). YEAH seated in less then 10 min. It went down hill from there. Sat there for over 15 min. without anyone even acknowledging our existence. Couldnt understand the neglect, there where plenty of wait staff. Went up front to see manager. After 5min. wait we were told he didnt have time for us. To us the service is the most important product of any establishment. This Cracker Barrel Old Country Store failed on numerous levels of service. We can over look a messed up order, a lukewarm bowl of grits, having to ask for a refill on our drink...but not being ignored. We may go back in a year and try again. We may not. Other places closer with the same level of food.

All Bad!! Service / manager / food... manager first set us at a table that the base was broken. it was like eating on a seesaw that not only moved up and down but left to right at the same time.Very slow service was ignored by staff the first 15 minutes .not until complain to manager do we receive any service .which took another 10 minutes and thats just to get our drinks. Scrambled eggs were undercooked and raw. Potato casserole was dried out like eating uncooked rice. Nothing on my plate was above room temperature.. We have been coming to this restaurant for years things have sure changed for the worse!!

Absolutely terrible service and the employees are the rudest bunch of people ive ever come across in a sit down style restaurant. I understand that its thanksgiving and they do not want to be working but youre here make the best of it and help others enjoy their holiday. And dont continue to tell every person that walks in theres a 20-30 min wait after you told me the same thing over a hour ago.and i see atleast 4 parties that were here before atill not seated. RUDE, RUDE, RUDE! Cracker Barrel should very ashamed of this location and its employees.

I just had the best boneless fried chicken that Ive had in my entire life. This is truly a gem I would drive two hours to eat at this restaurant. We have driven from New Jersey on our way to Illinois stopped here for lunch during their peak rush we were Served and out fast so we could get back on the road. Our server Michelle was super fast and had refills for us. Before we drank half of them. AAAAA++++++. Awesome!!!

Called to make an order to go and a lady answered the phone and I said yes I need to place an order to go. I didnt hear anything for a few second and then I heard music then another lady answer the phone and says Cracker Barrel to go. Needless to say neither of them were very friendly! Its a southern restaurant and if your gonna work with the public get over yourself and ready people how they deserve to be treated!

Coming from an individual that works in the restaurant business. Waited ten minutes for beverages. Were there at 10:30 on a Monday morning, the place was not busy and they seemed short staffed, which I can understand a little longer wait. However after waiting a long time for the food the French toast was severely undercooked. Should of trusted my gut and went up the road to waffle House .

Was surprised to get our food so quick! Felt a little rushed though. She brought our food came back and asked if everything was ok and gave us our bill. Good service otherwise. Had the manager come by the table and asked how everything was, that was a plus! Meatloaf was good, wife got a salid and chili salad was a little on the limp side, but she said chili was good!

We love Cracker Barrel but Food took almost 30 mins....slow morning. Waitresses was still in sleep mode. Ask for creamer....got 15 mins later. Ask for ketchup .....when we seen her come out of kitchen 5 mins later with someone elses food we decided to get it our self. She was not very friendly. We usually give our waitress there 25%....she got 12%. So unlike CB.

My family and I eat at cracker barrel all the time. This is not one of the better ones. Arrived at the beginning of dinner service, got seated right away. But service was lack luster, half my meal was cold. And took awhile to get coffee and refills... If your in the area go anywhere else.

While good all year round, Cracker Barrel is exceptional for breakfast on a cold morning. Fire is crackling, coffee is ready, and we dont have to clean up...and the blueberry pancakes and biscuits & gravy are the best Ive ever had.

Had 2 wait 20 minutes for table, than the person that took my name didnt put down that I wanted a four top table. Then had to wait longer, was not a happy camper. Person taking names need to listen to the person talking to them.
