Mapleside Farms was beautiful separate in itself, however, DO NOT GET MARRIED HERE AS LONG AS THEY HAVE A CONTRACT WITH "A TASTE OF EXCELLENCE" catering!!! They are a SCAM! They charge you for fresh food even though its all preheated. they dont have set prices they just set up a proposal based off of an approximate! if you dont ask what the extra fees and service charges are u dont find out that they charge you for transportation of their food on top of the plates as an extra charge which at any other venue the plates included everything and what else is next? are we to pay the gas fee too?! REAL venues, instead of catering taking care of everything, have packages with set prices and tell you exactly where your money is going and are honest about the food being delivered. A Taste of Excellence was going to charge us for the plates which were 3 times the price at other venues and changed the price later on was originally told $85 but he told me $95 and when u actually add it up it comes to $120 a person in the proposal. If you go with this for your wedding READ EVERY DETAIL AND ASK QUESTIONS!!! we added up about $3,000 dollars in outrageous extra unnecessary fees which they sneakily shoved in the service charges! Good thing we asked what the service charges were for. not to mention if something happens at ur wedding they dont roll over at least some money u lose that day and have to save up all over again! A Taste of Excellence is a scam and my fiancé and I had this place as our dream place to have the wedding. too bad they lost thousands of dollars because of dishonesty. We were very disappointed.

Greedy facility!!!! Johnny Appleseed Festival was to be a cost friendly enjoyable day out. As it turned into spending more at Mappleside farms festival than you would at Ceder point. My goodness, very discouraging from the lines to every booth expecting more and more $. They get you at the gate as they charge LOW fees to enter....$4 an adult just to accompany the children and $1 a child. Not bad but soon after you enter......lines and lines in addition to the kids need an $8 wrist band. Than every activity is confusing as you need a different color ticket? Many activities did not except the wrist band and required additional charges. There was only 1 tent that offered REAL food besides ice cream and cakes. The tent food was an average cost of $10 per person for a hot dog, chips and apple cider. OMG you can usually get a kids meal for $6 down the street. Very disappointing as all the activities that included the wrist band had over a 20 min wait per line. They took all the land and spread out $$$ booths to make their fast Autumn profits before the winter. In addition as I heard multiple families complaining as they will never buy or contribute another dollar to Mappleside due to their greed!

Absolutely horrible new owners. None of the wonderful food t hat made the place so unique is available any longer, for one thing. The value has steeply declined, as you no longer receive any of the signature rolls or even bread with any of your meals. The lunch menu is very tiny, and every time Ive gone Ive been brought the wrong meal. The prices are the same or even higher, but most of the menu has changed. That which has not been changed is poorly prepared and doesnt taste the same. You cant even get the apple cider that made the restaurant famous in the first place except in the store. The bakery offers maybe a fraction of what it did. Im very disappointed. I gave Mapleside one last chance today by ordering out, but not only was my side item missing from my sandwich, so was the dressing for my pretzel chicken sandwich. Honestly, it looks hastily thrown together and all the items seem to be pre-made goods you could get yourself from Sams Club. Nothing is home made anymore. The new bar is nice, but an updated look does not make up for terrible food at expensive prices. Anyone who says otherwise was almost certainly paid to do so or just has a job there. Dont even bother. :(

We brought our little great nephew all the way from Bellevue to experience the magic of your Breakfast with Santa. He is one of four children in a family that doesn’t have much left over for extras, so this was a real treat for him. Because we came from such a distance, we were a little late to the event, but everyone greeted us warmly, and still treated us graciously. The food was hot and delicious for both children and adults. He loved learning how Santa calls his reindeer with the bells from Mrs. Claus, visiting with the Grinch, and having his photo taken while discussing his Christmas wishes (which included Spider Man boots) with a very authentic Santa Claus. When we took him home, he excitedly told his brothers that he got to take a ride on a covered wagon, and brought them cookies and a carmel apple to share. Because of your hospitality in the beautiful setting of the big barn with the impressive Christmas tree, one little boy now has a wonderful Christmas memory to last a lifetime and we received precious hugs and kisses.

10/18/2011 My husband and I have never been ones to listen to reviews and let that decide if we should try a place. We always figure only annoyed and disgruntled customers leave reviews right? Well we are one of those customers. We had a nice time with our 2 children in the Pumpkin Village despite the inches of mud everywhere. When we tried to eat at the restaurant we had a reservation for 630 which we sat down on time. By 7:45pm we had each had one drink and 1 little bowl of bread for 13 people!! When we asked our waitress could the 3 little kids (4 and under) at least get their chicken fingers she said "Ill see what I can do" and never did anything. The manager was unapologetic and gave excuses to why it was like this (staff had called off etc) By 8pm we all got up and left without eating. This is a beautiful scenic spot but the restaurant is absolutely awful and all the reviews listed here are TRUE!

Mapleside farms in Brunswick Ohio is one of the best places for family fun, or even just some quiet romance outside while watching sunset,(indoors and outdoor fun)maybe blanket, snuggles and really great memories for new love or true love that has lasts yrs and rekindling flames(Im sure everyone has the point). Staff has been awesome, polite, patient and helpful with menu when looking for anything, also great food. The great thing about mapleside farms is that u can always look on their websites and find out anything going on. U can have family functions of about any. They have functions all year round from celebrating almost anything and concerts and more. U can also go let ur kids have fun while adults relax and enjoy the scenery outside or inside in front of the fireplace. Im happy to see what mapleside farms has done so far and excited to see whats coming. ☺

If you had a category below poor, this restaurant would qualify! Wife ordered medallions of pork. She got tough pork loin the size of large eggplant slices. Her mashed potatoes were from instant potatoes. My baked scrod was probably a good piece of fish before the cook microwaved it. It had no browning on it and when I went to flake a portion off, the fork bounced off the fillet like it was rubber. Vegetables were ok. Salad was ok. Bread was decent. Waiter was good. Wait time was awful . Nearly an hour to get main dish. Manager was snotty, inexperienced. We had gift certificate, and we left on waiters suggestion. Tipped him $10. Not his fault. Went downstairs and bought apples and a bottle of Baileys Irish Cream. Suggest anyone with gift certificate do the same! Menu price was about $15 for the pork, and $17 for the scrod.
