After eating here today for the third time in two weeks I must say this afternoon went down as easily the worst Sushi dining experience of my life. After ordering a roll I couldnt help but notice no-one was actually tending to Sushi Bar like the other two days I had went there. The Unagi Maki roll which I had just paid over ten dollars for was literally rolled so poorly that it fell apart by picking it up with chop sticks. After finishing it within a minute I was treated to hearing my waitress and another waiter complain about meager tips in the back room next to the Sushi Bar. My waitress did not come to wait on me for an entire 15 minutes when the entire place had maybe 5 customers there at lunch time. After waiting for near 15 minutes the owner had to go back there and tell her to come wait on me to see if I needed my check or anything else. Being as I have worked in food service before and understand how much waiters and waitresses rely on tips I tried to do the classy thing and leave a 6 dollar tip giving the girl a 20$ for a bill that ran me 13.90 for four eel rolls that fell apart and a cup of luke warm Miso Soup. Even leaving her a tip after such poor service the girl did not even say thank you only replying with "Are you good than?" and when I replied Yes thank you" she said "Ok".. Knowing that this is a family establishment and that she was most likely a family member of the owner spoke volumes about the effort that is put into this place not to mention the lack of class when the two servers are complaining openly in front of customers about their lack of tips and not even saying thank you for a decent tip after such poor service that the owner had to call her out on it.. I will never go here again and if I am in dire need of Sushi I will merely get it via takeout at Heinens or drive the extra ten minutes to Shuhei in Beachwood. I have never been presented such poor quality food in addition to frankly having a staff member sit back after serving it and complain about her lack of tips to a co worker.. I felt like I was dealing with staff with the class of a disgruntled East Cleveland Burger King worker while paying 14 dollars for a lunch that left me hungry.

Never again!!! Ordered a chicken and steak combo hibatchi dinner. The chicken was barely cooked and our steak was asked for medium well, while it was served rare!!!! Then when we asked for our steak to be cooked more. They took our entire plates vegetables rice and all and brought us out a little saucer plate with only our steak on it and it still wasnt medium well!!!!! Then we tried to order some sushi to try to actually try a different route so we could eat and even that was prepared poorly! Id rather eat at McDonalds!!! This place shames the name Sakura because normally they are great and well respected!

I have been to Sakura MANY times and easily call it the best Sushi place around the area. Some other popular places in town are so stuffy you cant imagine going there without being dressed to the nines. While you should expect to take your time (because the staff will) it is a place you can sit back, relax and take it all in and feel comfortable doing so. The staff has always been great and the bartender "Art" is always the best. Give it a try - you wont be sorry

Not very orientated for young kids. Dont serve simple things like juices or milks for them. Service seemed scattered as they worked hard but got confused easily. Food seemed freshly made, but not entirely fresh. I have been to many other Hibachi restaurants and definitely not consider this a go to place. The price was not cheap either, much better places for your money out there.

Wow! I love japanese restaurants but most asian food restaurants dont have a full bar. Usually when I go to a japanese restaurant I dont expect to see thai cuisine on the menu and I DEFINITELY didnt expect it to be SO GOOD!!! The sushi bar is great and their sashimi is awesome! Definitely my new favorite sushi restaurant.

Overall, sub-par. Ordered Soba noodles, was served Ramen noodles instead.. at a Japanese restaurant? Come on. Scallops were old and funky. Sushi was decent. Much better restaurant options out there for same price. I highly recommend Pacific East on Coventry on Cleveland Heights or Sushi Katsu in Akron.

Sakura is my favorite spot for sushi. They have excellent sushi and futomaki selections. I am a very picky person. I do not like mayonnaise. The sushi chef was very nice; she made a special spicy tuna roll for me. This is the best I ever had. I would recommend this restaurant.

It was okay, seemed dated and in need of some TLC. The food was sort of typical hibachi but a few things were disappointing like the brown sauce and the soup was miso not the mushroom soup you usually get. The prices were decent for hibachi but I will probably not return

The best thing about our food was the rice. Plain white rice. Pretty much everything else was sub par. Sushi was bland and our chicken meal was terrible. The chicken was filled with gristle and also had a jelly consistency. Couldnt leave this place fast enough.

The hibachi chef splashed hot, greasy, water on our party of 8 while cleaning off his grill top. We were offered no apology from mgmt, in fact, they argued with us over a coupon we had. The prices are too high to put up with poor service

Dont go here. The owner/manager stands over you and stares at you while you eat. It is so incredibly awkward. I have given this place several chances with the same outcome. I dont enjoy being stared at during dinner. Creeper.

I wasnt going to try this place due to some negative reviews. I liked this place, and do plan to return. I gave it 4 stars BC it was a little salty, but otherwise I thought the food was good and affordable.

Love this place! Its my absolute favorite spot for sushi. Everything is always so fresh and beautifully prepared. The chef is sweet as pie and so great at what she does. Cute patio. Definitely recommend!

Had a very nice experience each time we were here: last time we were 2 mins late for lunch menu but the waitress was very accommodating. Great lunch pricing and good size portions: hibachi is excellent!

Stay away Food not tasty at all. I ordered a juice for my kid and thanks god I tried it before I gave it to her. It taste awful. The ice was literally black. I would recommend this even to my enemies.

Came here for lunch and got the Chirashi. It was great! Nice clean restaurant close to the Brecksville reservation. Wouldnt mind stopping by again.

Shockingly bad. I visited 7/5/15 and will not return. Slow service, food delivered cold. No flavor, no good sauces to help.
