Its really refreshing to encounter restaurants such as Pacific East that encompass every positive trait that an establishment should have. I was really excited to visit initially but once I actually arrived, my positive impression only continued - and remained on cruise control. We were seated promptly, served our appetizer of black pepper coated tuna seared w/ roe, sesame seeds, scallions, & special sauce in a timely fashion and met with wonderful service! I had not received such pleasant service in recent days from other restaurants but was pleasantly surprised how courteous, friendly and accommodating our server was tonight at Pacific East. A+ service can be found here. Our server had a pleasant aura and was more than willing to even make chit chat about where to find certain menu items from asian grocers with us after our meals! Speaking of which, there is a lovely selection of sake imported from Japan at this restaurant and I decided on Hana Awaka - sparkling flower sake, myself. It complimented my sushi roll entreé of spicy tuna, lobster tail tempura & avocado, wonderfully! The quality of the fish here is remarkable and amongst the best I have had from a sushi joint, to date. Prices are moderate, but for the quality of the experience and food you will receive, I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Great Sushi, but it was ruined by the awful service. We were rushed from the minute we sat down and the server was incredibly rude. Would not describe anything when the table had a questions about sauces or combinations. Couldnt get refills, and our dirty appetizer plates sat on the table throughout the entire meal. Took 10 minutes to get the check and a box so we could take our food to-go to try to enjoy it in a better environment. Felt so uncomfortable, like we were bothering them by being there....even though it was noon, the middle of their lunch hours. I recommend TAKE OUT only if you are going to come here.

Probably the best sushi on the East side of Cleveland. We come here often and they have phenomenal rolls. Two stick out for me - the Manhattan roll, the Golden Dream roll. The Manhattan has a mayo based lobster sauce over it that is absolutely to die for. The golden dream has a mango sauce that is just the right amount of sweet to counter whats inside. Service is average and it sometimes takes a while to get seated because its so small inside. The decor is nothing to write home about, but the fish is really really good.

Started with the seaweed salad which was excellent. Tried several sushi rolls: iso maki, spicy tuna, shrimp tempura, and a special custom roll from the chef. The quality of the fish is very high. Much like the Coventry location. The toro was also very good. Overall, I was very pleased. The iso maki wasnt as good as Coventry but everything esle was. The service was much faster however and the staff was very friendly. Will definitely go back.

Super attentive staff, friendly and welcoming... Very nice looking fish and the rolls I had were very flavorful. It was a little late when I came here but I was surprised to find it not busy...you cant go wrong if you are looking for this type of food. Great quality, very reasonable prices and where I cant speak much to it, the wine list looked very good. If I come back to the area, I will definitely be back!

Went to the Eaton location. If I could post a zero I would. Very expensive and not that great. Also, Im pretty sure the tuna in the tempura roll was from a can. Ive had rolls that were fried before and the tuna never cooked that much it was terrible and all rice in the middle. Otani is so much better. At least they give you sushi and not just rice with sauce. Never going back!

Omg, the sushi is delicious. Very nice portions. Easy take out service. The uzu salmon is so good that you may just float out of your body for a moment. I also love the Manhattan roll with cream cheese added because I am a cream cheese lover. You also cant go wrong with the Philadelphia roll and salmon nigiri sushi. They have their largest pieces that I have ever seen. Thy yet

Ordered take out last night , chicken teraki the chicken was burnt, sauce had no flavor , my Philadelphia roll the cream chese tasted sour, unsure if it was a fluke. But if Im paying good money, I expect edible good food in return, this was my fist time there and will be my last ...

Portions are small, overpriced, and very bland. Our waitress tried to rush us, coming to our table three times in three minutes and then ignoring us the rest of the time. 54 dollars for 4 rolls, mostly inedible. Wish we would have gone somewhere else.

Unfortunately this place is not nearly as good as the original Pacific East on Coventry, Service is slow and the sushi is not nearly as good. If you are looking for authentic Japanese sushi, just go to Pacific East on Coventry Rd.

The quality of fish is very hit-or-miss. The rolls are a waste of time and there arent all that many options. But service here is far superior compared to the Coventry location, so that deserves an additional star.

Sat there for 10 minutes and not one person came to me even for a drink order , they looked and literally walked. They may have good food but not worth it for the service

Fabulous Sushi, fast service. Floors could have used a vacuum, but I didnt go there to eat off of them. A small restaurant, but the sushi was very good.

Service was very slow and waitress never checked up on us to see if we needed anything! The sushi was good but understaffed and not worth the headache.

Food is alright, edible, but as others have mentioned, the rude service spoils it. Got takeout last time, will stick with that from now on.
