So, judging by the many times Ive visited this restaurant. It seems like a roll of the dice for the type of experience youll get in reference to the hibachi dinner option. Sometimes you can get a cook who will put on a show like they enjoy their job. They interact with the customers in a positive way and it can be a lot of fun. For any age group. On the other hand, my last few visits have been mediocre to awful. In some cases the cook seems too focused on finishing the job getting out of there. So he doesnt present the same quality of entertainment as other cooks. Its disappointing when I payed $96 for 3 people to half enjoy my visit. Theres a part of the show where they try to throw food into your mouth by slide of spatula. Some occasions depending on the cook they get it spot on and were able to catch it and its great fun. However this last visit it felt as if the cook was in a bad mood and just threw the food at us seemingly not trying to aim for our mouths at all. Like mocking his customers. Overall my rating is based on the declining quality aspect of this establishment. I used to have a good time and enjoy the company of other diners, as well as the cook. The first few visits were great and now I dont feel the same. I just miss the times back when customers were appreciated. Not robbed. Itll be long while until the next time plan to visit again. Such a disappointment.

Have to say, most of the reviewers apparently dont know what a good Japanese steak house even is... After receiving the Hibachi Filet & Lobster I ordered, I noted that about 1/3rd of my plate was filled with Chinese noodles. That was the most immediate giveaway that something was wrong here. The salad came with watered down ginger salad dressing which is also cheap Chinese trick. The servings of filet and lobster were smallish, the fried rice was actually steamed but mixed with something to make it look fried and contained no egg or vegetables. My Hibachi vegetables had the taste and texture of something coming from a Chinese Buffet. My steak was doused with diced garlic and on and on and on. Finally I had to ask the waiter who owns this place and he confessed it was Chinese owned. Ughhh.. paid all that money for Chinese buffet food. :( It wasnt horrible but it was not up to the standard of any real Japanese steak house.

new management is very rude and unprofessional. I had been going to Mizu at least twice a month since it first opened. But on Sunday July 7,2013 I took a friend and her family for the first time and the waitress (new one) brought my daughters and my mothers meal in one same plate. My mother ate it without knowing that both meals were included in her plate so when I ask the waitress what is going on with my daughters meal she says shes going to check on it. when she comes back she says it was added to my mothers plate and there is nothing she can do about it. I asked to speak to the manager and not only did he have a bad attitude but he says that sometimes the restaurants decide to add two meals to the same plate and Im going to have to pay for my daughters plate. He was very mean, rude and my family and my friends family never want to return again. Very bad experience and they take very long to serve your food.

The service was terrible. The waitress was up my behind to give her my drink order before i cracked the menu. I order what I though would be the safest thing on the menu.. $29.99 for some steak, lobster and shrimp.. as the meal came with the soup salad etc.. About 30 seconds after she brought the drinks.. I see her running across the restaurant and i mean running.. they all were. every waiter and waitress in the building was sprinting around like maniacs.. she finally shows up at my table with two hot soups and her leg gave out. She spilled hot soup all over my arm. me and my son looked at each other in awe.. then broke out in laughter.. needless to say.. the bills was 85 bucks for some below age hibachi and 3rd degrees burn on my arm.. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE....

Had a reservation for my family of 13 for a graduation lunch for 4PM. Was not told we would be at two separate tables when reservation was made Arrived 10 minutes early, and finally seated at 4:40 for our 4:00 reservation, with out an acknowledgement of the delay or an apology. Orders not taken until 4:55. We asked if we could still order from the lunch menu, which was available till 4, since we were seated so late by no fault of our own. The manager refused our request!!! After the orders were taken, the service was good, and the food and our tableside chef were excellent. Too bad the manager blew a chance to recover from their 40 minute seating delay by his decision on the lunch policy. Well never go back again.

Decent hibachi place, my only complaints were that some of the food was a little overcooked and oddly enough, the flooring choice for the hibachi dining area. The whole room is done in tile and the noise level of the chefs clacking together the cooking utensils combined with the sounds of cooking and people talking make it unbearably loud in the room. The sound just echoes off the tile and accumulates. My entire group was practically having to shout at each other around the table to communicate. The owners should really reconsider the flooring choice in this room.

Nothing special and pricey! Sashimi are really expensive a la cart $6 and up (2pcs). i ordered the following: 1) Tuna tataki - so so. give it an3-star 2) Pan fried noodle with seafood - taste sub par 2-star 3) beef negimaki - subpar also- 2-star In addition, i asked for japanese ramen but they dont have, very disappointed. For the foods, I would give it a 2-star but considering the lacks of competition in the area and clean looks and good service, I bumped it to a 3-star. Sorry, soCal japanese foods are so much better. Would i come back? No.

We had the worst possible meal at this restaurant. We are vegan and we ordered the tofu teriyaki dish. It was tasteless and deep fried with something that the tofu stuck all together...it was inedible. Hardly any veggies served with this. The miso soup must have come out of a package as it was also flavorless and the salad was just lettuce. They wanted to charge us for a meal we couldnt consume. With some grumbling they decided to charge us for one meal which cost us 26.00 for two meals not consumed. Will never go back there again.

I am giving 2 star because the food was decent and the restaurant interior seemed nice. We felt rushed to order food multiple times, our server came over and asked "are you read or not?", did not ask about how we enjoyed the food. There was only one other person eating in the restaurant, so I figured we would get better service and not be rushed. Id recommend taking the food to go because the server who helped us was horrendous. We ordered the avocado roll and veggie tempura which we enjoyed.
