My fiance and I decided to try out Mad Jacks for a date night. Let me begin with saying that we are a young couple in our twenties and seemed to be the youngest ones there. Upon arrival we were told that they had a table outside in the tent available in which we had replied that we would rather wait for a table inside. This request was ignored and we were taken outside after being told "well, we have a table is ready outside for you." First red flag. Second, 25 minutes went by and we had not had a server even acknowledge us! In this 25 minutes, we had decided on drinks AND dinner; yet no server (not even for water). People coming in after us were being seated, brought their drinks, and began placing their orders. We went inside to tell the gentleman who had seated us that we never had a server and that we would be leaving due to the lack of service. No apology was offered nor was any form of action taken to reconcile our situation. Being a supervisor in a hotel where I deal with guests seeking restaurant recommendations on a daily basis, I would NEVER recommend Mad Jacks. Such horrible customer service. We felt as though we were discriminated against from the moment we walked in the doors. Apparently young couples arent wanted in their establishment?

First time there tonight. specifically informed the waitress I was gluten free and therefore could not eat bread (I ordered a pub burger, minus the bun). I ordered medium well - 20 minutes later, I get a burger on a bun, which I immediately sent back. I was flustered - did she not understand what I had asked??? I was pretty clear. I waited yet another 20 minutes. my second plate came back with a "very well-done, crunchy, and blackened" burger patty. definately not a medium- well burger, which should have a slight pink center. although the burger was warm, the fries were ice cold. I never got a chance to inform the waitress about my food this time, as she never came back to check on my meal. first and last time at this establishment. what a disappointment. I can say, however, the Urban reisling wine was fabulous! I made my way to the bar to grab a glass of wine inbetween waiting for my food to be prepared properly. (yes, I had to get my own drink, as well.)

On Friday, June 2nd, our son and his (then) Fiance had their rehearsal dinner here. They were able to reserve the seperate room for all of us. The food could not have been better. The hummus and spinach/artichoke dips with the super crunchy pita chips were enjoyed by all. The entrees were also amazing-- short ribs, pork chops, burgers, pasta were all very much enjoyed at our table. Wait staff was very kind and knowledgeable ( sorry I do not remember their names). Please make sure everyone involved with our meal knows that we completely enjoyed our meal there, and how appreciative we are of all their hard work! Thanks again!!! Theller/Weber party

Best Salty Dog anywhere. Respectable menu. Service can be a bit rough. The host stated we were lucky to be able to get in without a reservation, but there were plenty of empty spots all night. Tables are pretty tightly packed which makes for an uncomfortable experience. Sirloin and Ribeye steaks were very good, excellent for the price, however they were not cooked as ordered and the flavor was masked by the heavy handed sauces.

Im happy to see Mad Jacks thriving in a space where numerous restaurants before it have failed. It thrives for good reason: the food is excellent, they have a solid staff and its a unique, eclectic atmosphere. Ive eaten lunch there countless times and dinner a few times, and I never had a bad meal. I highly recommend Mad Jacks!

Yum. Yum. Just... Yum. From the appetizer to dessert. Everything was exquisitely plated and presented while tasting brilliant to boot! I didnt have a chance to indulge in what looked to be an extensive wine and alcoholic beverage list, but its a definite must for next time. Can. Not. Wait!

Mad Jacks is a wonderful place to dine with family and friends!!! Food and Service is always great and they will always make you feel welcomed!!!! There is also Outdoor Dining in the Summer and a Private Dining room to host a special event!!! Outstanding Clam Bakes in the Fall!!!

My fiancé said the bisque wasnt warm, we were never offered a drink refill, my meal never came and all that was said was sorry. This was during shift change, but wow. Left hungry and disappointed

They call it an "Irish Pub", but, no one knows the difference between an "half and half" and a "black and tan", but it doesnt matter, because the bartender cant our it anyhow. Food was OK.

Service was polite and timely. Presentation of food and decor is great. Appetizers looked great and tasted even better. Expect to get what you pay for. Great experience overall.

The lobster bisque is like gravy and salty..my sandwhich was dry and lacked flavor..very tightly packed in..not sure I would return..prices are also very high!!
