Decent coffee and good pastries but over priced. Bought 2 slices of cheese cake and come various other snacks. The cheese cake was good, dont get me wrong but not worth 4.99 a slice. Been in many times over the last few months while working downtown. Its a nice place when it isnt packed and the staff is friendly and attentive. What I dont like is the atmosphere created by the other patrons, very pretentious and rude. Never in my life have I walked into a cafe and been greeted with such disdain and ugliness towards my existence. I asked if the picnic table would mind me sitting down one time, there was room, they all just looked up at me from their laptops with sneering faces, "Uh, yeah I guess." Sorry, Im not really into this its cool to be apathetic hipster crap. Like I said, the staff is great but the patrons attitudes on a regular basis, not so much.

Fun little late evening excursion to Camino! We stopped in about 9-9:30 for dessert and one last glass of wine before going home. The chocolate mousse pie was absolutely decadent and the satellite sauvignon blanc was crisp and refreshing. We also purchased a couple of baguettes to eat later, which we found to be perfectly baked. Camino rotates its baked offerings daily, so theres plenty of fresh-baked, delicious treats to be sampled. The win selection is ample (especially considering Camino is a bakery, not a bar), and the other beverage offerings (ranging from coffee drinks to more specialized drinks like their summer elder flower spritzer) look appealing as well. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the staff was friendly and helpful. What more could you want?

Love, love, love, love, LOVE! Their beverages are phenomenal (try the Elderflower Spritzer in the spring!), their bread is delicious, and I have dreams about their pastries. The gluten-free quiche totally rocks my world, as do the sandwiches (not gluten-free). Breakfast, lunch, dessert, or coffee with friends all do well here. Parking can be challenging, as its right there in downtown, but its walking distance to the Stevens Center, among other things. Also, theyre opening a new location where Ollies Bakery used to be, so Im excited about that! The owners are very involved in the community, and theyre committed to giving back. Employees really know their stuff, and theyre like a family. Absolutely a great addition to downtown. Highly recommended!

The place exceeded my expectations! Im not a coffee house expert. I dont even drink coffee, and I found myself ordering tea based upon experiences gained from a global competitive chain. This place was clean, bright, fun and filled with good smells and happy people. Staff knew many patrons by name. Fresh baked goods were presented in clean glass cases. The windows and floors offered clean surfaces for the sunlight to brighten the space. Tables were close enough to invite friendly conversation, and they offered s comfortable place for my casual meeting to unfold productively. I may never drink the coffee, but I will go back again for many other scrumptious items!

This is a good café especially if you live above it. However my experiences have been mixed. I have sometimes gone and had really amazing pastries solid coffee and good customer service. At other times Ive had solid coffee but not very good pastries and mediocre customer service. Still other times Ive had to wait 30 minutes for coffee only to find out that mine wasnt ready but my friends was. But I dont give up on this place because it is a good community center, has really good ambience, is conveniently located and is the the most happening thing in town. I hope they continue to make improvements in there pastry quality and customer service.

I have been here three times, not a regular, but I love their coffee and baked goods. Everything is always fresh and delicious. Why didnt I give them 5 starts? Because today when I walked in, I requested a quiche slice to eat there with a cappuccino. I took my cold quiche and ate it that way..... As I walked back in to figure out where to place my dishes I noticed there was a microwave!!! It would have been good to know that there was a microwave to heat up my quiche. My suggestion, tell other customers whom might not be regulars like me about microwaves, dirty dish area and such. I will be returning because I enjoy the coffee!

Baristas here are always super friendly and helpful, willing to customize your drink to the nth degree. Drink menus and pastries are seasonal- king cake for Mardi Gras, hot cross buns for Easter, etc. Spring specials were just posted sometime in the last two weeks of March. (Highly recommend The Imperial and Magical Coffee.) Free wi-fi, very popular with the local hipster crowd. Fresh bread and cupcakes/three layer cake daily. Gluten-free options abound. Often crowded but takeout options do exist! Definitely a place to bring a friend and meet others.

Absolutely terrible! I went there with my husband on a Saturday morning. All the employees were miserable and clearly did not want to be there. They probably dont get paid much. Their coffee was mediocre at best, nothing special. The desserts were not great, especially not for the price. The music was awful and depressing. I dont know whats worse, not getting paid for anything or being forced to listen to crap music all day. We will never be back and would not recommend it to anyone.

This is a popular local coffee shop that also has some baked goods. Its a casual environment and very typical of a coffee shop atmosphere. They usually have a selection of cookies, muffins, breads and cheesecakes to choose from. Its not the kind of place I would think to order a cake from for a party, though. Instead, its a place where you would go to buy a serving of something delicious and often unique. Its usually busy, so sometimes seating is limited.

A local fixture, and one of my favorite spots in town! Excellent coffee and espresso with a creative and regularly updated drink menu, amazing breads and pastries, and great staff. The location is hard to beat, with picturesque views of 4th Street and lots of outdoor seating. Good for solo studying/reading or hanging out with a group. It can get pretty crowded at times, thanks to its popularity.

I just recently walked El Camino de Santiago and when I searched for coffee shops in Winston-Salem, Camino Bakery was the first to pop up. Having walked the Camino, I was intrigued and when I saw the shell in the window I knew I was in for a treat. This shop is so quaint and charming and their cookies and lemonade are EXCELLENT! Best bakery/coffee shop I have found in North Carolina!

A Winston-Salem gem! I rarely order coffee due to how many other interesting things they offer. Blackberry limeade, spiced horchata, London fog mmmm.... And then theres the sweets. This is not a big place but they have usually start the day with over 20 desserts. Bread bought at the end of the day gets a discount the tomato pie is heaven. Lovely cozy atmosphere.
