Breakfast - The menu is not the easiest thing to browse when you are going for the first time and havent been given recommendations so I ordered French Toast. My wife ordered an omelette and we both had coffee. The coffee was good. It wasnt plain bland coffee. It was rich strong coffee which is always a nice surprise. I would go back just to get coffee to go from there. So the entrees arrive and everything looks perfect. They French Toast was made with what I am guessing is homemade cinnamon bread and it was amazing. I was full halfway through the meal but kept eating because I couldn’t stop, it was that good. The omelettes are huge and not skimpy on the vegetables inside. The only negative in the whole experience was that we couldnt finish our meal. Dinner - The food was so good at breakfast that I decided why not try dinner. They brought a wine book (yes a book not a list) to the table and while the server got us water I started looking through it. I get to the wines we like, Rieslings, and see the prices are $15-$27. I thought that was a little pricey for a glass and when the server came back I asked and she said no those are bottle prices. I kept flipping through the book and this was the same for everything. Best prices on wine I have ever seen in a restaurant. I got the Cheese Ravioli with Blackened Shrimp and my wife got the Margarita Chicken. I could go on and on about this food but I will just give you the highlights. AMAZING!! Everything was perfectly cooked and the flavor was great. Everything on the plates complemented each other. Once again I was stuffed but this time refused to leave a bite of anything on the plate. I can’t wait to go back. This place deserves to be tops on your list of places to eat, and the prices are incredible. They could raise the price of their dinner entrees 20% and it would still be worth it. The owner/chef are doing an amazing job.

Today my lunch experience was as horrible as you can imagine. I sent a sandwich back because it had three things wrong with it, I asked for additional slice of cheese, and no blue cheese crumbles. It had blue cheese, somehow mayo was added, and no provolone at all. It came back in 90 seconds with some cheese, still had the blue cheese on it and mayo. I said to the waitress dont worry Ill deal with it and eat it, BUT as I was doing that I noticed a half eaten pickle in the basket under the fries along with some bite marks in the fries. I said whos is this? You reused the basket and got em mixed up and just served me someone elses half eaten food. Please send over a manager. The owner came over 15 minutes later with an attitude saying it was prepared correctly the second time and that they reuse the baskets of unused sides when doing a recook. I tried to explain that no it was still prepared wrong and its illegal to resend out food off of someone elses plate to sell to me. Her response was rude in tone and said that was the way they did it and she felt it perfectly O.K. You cant even use the same plate to revisit the buffet how is it legal or appropriate to reuse half a plate/basket for a reorder. Just spit in it next time that way Id never know. You got busted this time.

On Saturday 6/27 I called ahead seating for 20 for Sunday morning. After arriving there was not enough tables set up so myself and another family member had to set up two additional tables and 6 chairs. Because we set these up we had no utensils or menus which I requested but only received after asking for a second time. After we were mostly finished eating I was made aware that two family members still had not been served their omelets. My cousin said she told the waitress but after 10 minutes she hadnt come back to let her know anything so I spoke with the manager on duty who did apologize and say that he would have the omelets taken off our bill which was not done because the manager never told the waitress to do so. Additionally for 7 tables we only had one set of salt & pepper shakers and also had to ask for jelly. As if any of this isnt bad enough it got worse when I witnessed a waitress walk in front of my 88 year old father with a cane and let the door close on him. I shared a few words with her and then shut the door in her face. Never again will I or the rest of my family set foot in Sweet & Savory or their pub. There are now 20 people with ugly reviews of this place. Horrible service and experience!

I was very excited to visit this place based off of the wonderful reviews listed. However, after my experience there I would never go back. When we were seated the table was completely wet from being wiped off and no one bothered to dry it. When I asked the waitress for napkins she said "Oh no we dry it with our shirts." -_- Im sure she meant to be funny but she wasnt. I guess my lack of laughter didnt sit well with her so immediately after saying what I wanted to order she said "Ohhh sorry were out of that..." I was done with her after that. She was hard to find and could be seen talking somewhere in a corner (the place was not busy). After 45 minutes, I reached out to a manager because our food had not yet arrived and she told me it had only been 30 minutes and it was coming. (It really was 45 minutes. If it was 30 minutes that means the waitress took 15 minutes before she put our order in.) Thankfully the food was hot and pleasant, but the service was bad. Really bad.

I have been lucky enough to be able to dine at this restaurant during each of its 3 meals throughout the day. Each meal has excellent variety and each menu contains that one item you have to have once you read the description. Keep your eye on the chalkboard during your visit for the Chefs creations that wont appear on the menu. Also on the chalkboard youll find the quiches, soups, and desserts of the day. The SOUPS are a must with lunch and dinner. There is also an in house bakery with delicious homemade pies, cookies, and pastries. The staff are hard working and polite. Outdoor seating and a full service bar help make this an all around amazing dining experience for just about anybody. Be sure to stop by on your way to and from the beach this summer! You wont be disappointed.

We went to Sweet and Savory on a recommendation for dinner last night. I ordered grilled chicken with broccoli and mashed potatoes. My husband got a steak with mashed and daughter got chicken and rice. My husband said his steak was good but aside from that nothing was great. The tables are not comfortable. It should be just for breakfast although we never had breakfast here before. The mashed potatoes were not good; they seemed as if they were made from baked potatoes. they were very chunky and not hot. The chicken was so packed with an herb mixture that tasted store bought. Both of our salads had lettuce that was not very fresh. The broccoli I got was watery and a blotchy yellow and green color. Honestly, we left and both said, wow that was pretty gross. Sorry!
