UPDATE: Bad lunch experience. If I could, I would redo this meal. I wouldnt eat it, I wouldnt pay for it, I wouldnt walk the 30 minutes to get to Goose Feathers. My previous review gave them 4-stars for their breakfast. The lunch option and sandwiches we had were terrible: Chicken salad sandwich on ciabatta. Corn beef on ciabatta. The peppermint mocha was awful and when I asked to switch it out to a regular coffee, as a refill option. They insisted I pay for the coffee, even though it cost more for the mocha. First of all, it was terrible. Second, I dont want to pay even more for something that should be an automatic refill, considering the higher cost. The split pea soup had under cooked peas. I mean did they taste their soup before serving it? The peas were still hard and crunchy. Im not sure why this place is busy. Maybe I just ordered the worst sandwiches and soup and drink off their menu. Totally disappointed. PREVIOUS REVIEW: Solid breakfast options. I had the Eggterian and added bacon per other reviews. Personally, I think it needed more hollandaise sauce. And at $8 for a breakfast sandwich after adding the $1.75 up charge for bacon, I think Id skip this option all together and go for the waffles or pastries. More bang for your buck, there. As a side note, the croissant was not toasted, so by the time the sandwich was delivered, the tomato had made the bottom soggy and soft. And, because of the pesto, the croissant took on a mucus-like look and consistency. Not my favorite breakfast sandwich, but it was interesting. Im still glad I tried it. Oh yes, and because if the sogginess, I couldnt pick it up to eat like a regular sandwich. Its best eaten with a knife and fork. Almost makes me wonder why its even made into a sandwich. Isnt the beauty of eating a sandwich is actually picking it up? Maybe Im just old school. Hubby had the Eggs Benedict. This came as a croissant sandwich, not traditional style served open-faced on a English muffin. He wasnt expecting the croissant or a sandwich style. I guess we both missed that it came this way. It wasnt bad, just not what he was expecting. We also both had drinks. He ordered a mocha. I got a cappuccino. Both were decent. No wow factor, but a decent cup of joe. Overall, I cant fault them on the food. I did order what I did and they did deliver it the way it was intended to be served. If I try it next time, Ill try waffles or pastries. As per the other reviews, order first then sit. Turn over is quick on the tables. The line was a bit long, but they were very quick in getting the orders in. Will be back. ***We did go back the next day. That is our last time***

Before heading out into Savannah for the day we found this quaint little eatery and decided to have breakfast. We walked in and were handed a menu by a gentleman standing close to the door. We looked over the menu and proceeded to head to the counter to place our order. Seeing that it was already 90 degrees at 9:30am I knew that I did not want to eat anything super heavy as I just figured that would not be a good thing for me to do. So I went with the Belgium waffle with fresh fruit. We placed our order, got our drinks, and found a table to sit at. The building looks like its older and has a cute vintage kind of charm to it. For how small the place is there are plenty of tables to accommodate several diners at one time. Seeing that it was around 9:30ish when we got there that we came after the morning rush. It didnt take too long for our food to come out. The only complaint that I had with the waffle is that I felt it was lacking fruit toppings. There were strawberries and blueberries but I always feel with fruit that more is more! Other than that I had no complaints. The waffle was cooked correctly and all the way through. The syrup was not too sweet, and had a good amber color. My waffle also took up the entire plate which is nice...because though I didnt want to eat a lot I didnt want to be hungry 30 minutes later, either. My other half had the breakfast sandwich on a croissant, and absolutely loved it. I almost got that but decided against it. His sandwich was huge and overflowing with sausage, egg, and cheese. The overall location was clean and the staff seemed very friendly. Everytime we would empty our plate there was a nice young man there to clear the table for us. The bathroom situation would appear to be obnoxious during busier times of the day. Each bathroom is a single use at a time...so if you have 3 people wanting to use it a line can form very quickly. But they are clean, and that is very important. I would recommend this location to anyone in the downtown Savannah area that is looking for a quite bite to eat before heading into work, or out on tours of the city. Be prepared to either park in the nearby parking garage, or search the streets for a parking spot. Paid street parking runs from what appeared to be Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm.

I would like to start out by saying that this restaurant has the best bacon I have ever eaten. However, sadly I will never eat it again. I work right around the corner from this restaurant, and have (out of hunger, and convenience of delivery) placed multiple delivery orders from here. Anyone who answers the phone is helpful, but every single time the delivery person they have taking orders is very rude, and just always seems put out or extremely inconvenienced when we call to place an order. Today it was actually the manager that they had working that was treating me this way. It has gotten to the point that I would just rather not eat and wait unitl lunch just so i dont have to deal with him. Also, their minimum for delivery charge was $10. I have placed an order that came to 9.97 and they would not deliver to me without me ordering something else to rack it up above $10. Today I have been rudely informed that their delivery charge is now a minimum of $15. Upon explaining this to me, in a rude and condescending manner.I am so sick of how rude these people are and if they are treating locals this way i cannot imagine how they treat tourists. Do yourself a favor and eat at Henrys on Drayton, the food is cheaper, better and the staff is very kind and attentive. I will be contacting the GM about this issue. You are welcome in advance.

While this place has curb appeal like many places do but I think its important for people local and tourists to know who they are supporting. The folks that are the Proprietors of this place are not worthy of your support first of all they are not true restaurant people there people that just thought LG lets get a restaurant itll be easy and dont have a clue they mistreat their employees and keep in mind Im not an ex-employee of theirs or a disgruntled employee Ive never worked there no a few folks that have they have the highest turnover rate of employee of any restaurant in this town and theres only one reason for that in their last ad with ever looking for help for a pastry chef they suggested that the pay be $9 an hour for someone that could complete pastry work thats how out of touch with reality these people are they underpay they expect way too much for a minimum wage job and its why they cant keep a staff. So I think its important to understand when youre a tourist in this town what goes on locally because it has a big benefactor to what kind of products youre going to get very poor place do not support them youll be sorry you did. -W
