I brought my wife, who is French, to Le Catalan for our date last night (Saturday night). We had an exceptionally wonderful time! The French food was authentic and very tasty. The wine recommended by the server went perfectly with our dishes. The decor is outstanding and stylish. The atmosphere was warm and intimate. Not too crowded or noisy, we could talk and hear each other well. The authentic upbeat french music had my wife dancing in her seat. The server was attentive and gave us the "space" to enjoy our meal together. Outstanding views of the boardwalk and the river just outside! If youre looking for something lovely and new, try this restaurant. Youll come back again.

Went for NYE seating. Sevice was slow, disorganized, and forgetful. Server didnt know the menu. Food was average. Slightly over-priced for set menu. Kitchen burned something and whole place smelled of smoke for 30+mins. Everyone else got their bills and paid and we were left alone in a room waiting on New Years Eve to start our night. Not a great experience.

We have been traveling to Wilmington for years and our visits are not complete without a stop at the Le Catalan Cafe and wine Bar. After a walk along the Cape Fear River it is the perfect stop for a glass of wine or a great meal. The owners make you feel right at home and directed us to the perfect wine with our lunch. Cant wait to get back!

Fantastic views, great food, and never a subpar wine. I have been to Wilmington several times and every time includes a visit to Le Catalan; wine and a cheese plate while the sunset drifts toward the boardwalk horizon is a little peace of heaven. Do yourself a favor and spend some time at a table outside with a glass in hand.

The location is excellent providing a place to relax and watch the sun set over the river. The wait staff was friendly and helpful. Their wine selection is limited and we didnt find anything that we really liked out of our two flights. However, the prices are reasonable for such a good view and in a touristy area.

I simply told the waitress I didnt like the quiche and she got an attitude. When I then asked for bread she slammed the basket down. She proceeded to roll her eyes later on when I asked for the check. If it wasnt for the nice view I would have left immediately. The menu is weak anyway. Will not be returning.

My friend and I were having red wine on the Riverwalk at this charming place on Friday afternoon, Dec 2, 2016 hearing nice soft French artists songs. Fun to relax, watch a few local people running by, and cruise on the River. Sunshine was au rendez-vous and, it was not too chilly.
