UPDATED REVIEW: 1/27/16 Went back the day after the reopening, I got my beloved brisket sandwich and was SO disappointed. After waiting 45 minutes for our food all four of our dishes were cold. My sandwich was covered in way too much cold cheese sauce. I now know there was so much cheese on it because my brisket was actually just charred little pieces of either meat or peppers. I wasnt 100 % sure. I asked the waitress about this and she said thats how brisket is supposed to me, I told her the whole sandwich tasted burnt. I even pointed out my brothers plate right next to me which was the brisket dinner with nice strips of brisket (even though that came out cold too). She brought over the manager who told me thats how brisket was supposed to be but if I wanted the strips she could bring those over... I dont know why you would have to request non-charred pieces of meat but I guess you do now. I know brisket and BBQ and that is not acceptable and not "how brisket is supposed to be. They did offer a free slice of dessert after my meal but after paying $13.00 for a wasted sandwich I still dont think I will be returning. We also got a comment card and filled it out just indicating the food took very long to come out and then was cold when we finally got it and a few other things. We also indicated that the restaurant was really clean and our waitress was nice. After handing that to the front desk the hostesses and manager crowded around reading it as we were walking out the door. So unprofessional and I highly doubt I will be coming back. July 2015 Review: I love this place! I have been (anxiously) anticipating their reopening because they have such delicious food and such a great atmosphere. They also have one of the best gluten free menus Ive seen yet. You cant beat the $3 pints either.

I wrote their feedback section and even emailed their General manager and I guess they do not value their existing or new customers so I am posting what I send them. I wasnt going to contact you about the quality of the food and was just going to scratch you off our list of places we enjoyed eating. We get out every Saturday to eat at a few different restaurants and had been to the twisted fork many times and had suggested it to many of our friends.Every other time the food had been perfect.BUT this time we both ordered the Briskit Steak Sandwich. When it arrived it looked good.but after the first bite and half of the "beef" seemed to fall out we both noticed it was not beef.instead it was chunks of fat with no meat at all on it.my wife and I opened up the sandwichs and 90% of the "beef" inside of it was just chunks of total fat.it was the most disgusting nasty sandwichs we have ever seen or had.I would have liked to have talked to your "chef" and I use that term very lightly in this case and would have loved to see if he could have eaten this sorry excuse for a brisket steak sandwich without puking his guts out after eating part of it.I just couldnt believe whomever fixed it would actually think a human would eat it.our dog would have turned its nose up at it.we had the waitress take it back and we ended up getting a salad since our appetites were basically ruined by that time.was just thoroughly disappointed with this visit and hard to trust that the food will be edible again.was a waste of time especially since it was supposed to be kind of a suprise for my wife since she liked coming there to eat

After having been there just once, all I can say is DO NOT GO TO THE TWISTED FORK! I went with my husband yesterday. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms entree, the pork baby back ribs and the prociuto salmon. None of these items were freshly cooked. It was old food cooked a few days ago and reheated, probably leftovers from theIR catering service. The mushrooms were overfried and the breading looked dark brown, which means they were most likely using old oil. The stuffing was missing and the breading tasted like charcoal. The baby back ribs were overcooked and hard. The fries that came with them were so thin and dry that they had no flavor at all. The salmon was wrapped in prociuto which so hard impossible to chew. The salmon had no flavor and the garlic mashed potatos were too salty and definetely from several days ago. The martinis were half priced, but also too small, which means they were not actually giving you a deal. There was a bad smell coming from the kitchen and the bathrooms were dirty. I asked for lemon for the salmon. The waitress brought me 3 tiny pieces on coaster, instead of a plate. The meals were overpriced - $16 for the baby back ribs and $17 for the salmon, $9 for the stuffed mushrooms. On the top of everything they charge you 18% gratuity and ask for an additional tip.For what? For these prices you would expect higher quality of food and service.TOTAL RIPOFF1

Went to restaurant on a Sunday afternoon/ early evening. It was not busy at all so we were happy. Well, we waited a long time to get our appetizer. After we got the appetizer I asked our waitress how long would it be for our entree and she just shrugged and said soon. Ok...so I spoke with the manager (assistant manager Vicky). She explained that the appetizer we ordered is made to order and takes a longer time than normal. We said okay I understand that it would have been nice to know that ahead of time not nevertheless. Vicky got our entrees to us. Our waitress didnt even bother to come over to the table to speak to us or check on us. Our waitress did entertain the guests on both sides of our booths though. My husband sent his nachos back because it was cold and it was. My chicken sandwich was hot and actually good. The appetizer was good too (spinach artichoke dip). Vicky nicely got my husband a new plate of nachos. Vicky refilled our drinks. Vicky did everthing. The only thing our waitress did was leave us the check. Spoke to the general manager on way out. Explained to him the entire dining experience. He gave us two coupons for a free meal on our next visit. Well we wont be returning. I was highly turned off and offers dedicated by the waitresses deliberate actions. Food was okay . But Raleigh is filled with restaurants that are better than okay.

This evening we went there for dinner. I was impressed by the atmosphere. Such a nice little restaurant and big windows overlooking outside. The chairs were comfy. However, the waiter was incredibly awkward. He came to our table at first just to tell us he would be back in a minute. I saw him do this to every table he serviced. I ordered a side salad and the waitor stated that he would bring the salad plate out to me. Five minutes later he still hadnt brought the plate. He finally comes back and says,"Oh, do you still not have your salad plate?" He was the one that was supposed to bring it. So wouldnt he know whether or not I had it? Then...I slipped away to the bathroom and walked past him finally bringing it to the table. He was wiping it off with a dirty napkin. When he tried to place it on the table a bunch of old food came off of the plate and was smeared on his hand. I was disgusted. He went back and brought me another one but I was still a little unsure about the cleanliness considering what had happened before. He brought our food but the service was incredibly slow. He was really awkward in the way he interacted. The price is a little too high for that kind of service. Which is a shame....since it has such potential.
