Stopped here to enjoy some authentic BBQ. First clue should have been the lack of any smoke coming from the stack. We ordered a half chicken (white meat) and pulled pork and went to sit outside at a picnic table as the girl said she would bring it out to us. Ten minutes go by and no food, we go in and it is sitting on the front counter, no apology or explanation. Hungry as we were we tore into the food. The chicken was dry and the pulled pork was bland. The side of slaw was as basic as you can get and the collard greens were way too salty and overcooked. Hush puppies were decent. If you like authentic BBQ this is NOT the place to go.

I really enjoy their food but sometimes the service can be a bit off. We usually get the food to go and last time we went, while the food tasted great.. I called the order in, arrived, paid, and then waited for 10 minutes after the girl walked away from the register, while unknown to me my food was already ready. No one acknowledged me while I waited until I finally spoke up. I wasnt upset and understand these things happen. It was just a bit odd though. Ill still go again. Definitely worth it for the food and price.

All I can say is I would move to Brevard just to have Hawg Wild BBQ! It is truly a fantastic place to come to if youre a BBQ fan. The eastern pulled pork was awesome, the ribs were amazing and their onion blossom was delicious. Our server, Kris, was excellent and super sweet too. They also had live musicians playing country/bluegrass music which made the experience all the more unique and wonderful. I definitely recommend to all that Hawg Wild BBQ is the place to come. -Thank you and God Bless!

Great local place, conveniently located right off the road on the way to Sliding Rock. They have both east and western NC BBQ sauce (so good we even bought a bottle to take home) and a varied menu including several kid pleasers. Perfect french fries, too! And local brews either on draft or by the bottle. To top it all off, my 7 year son left his shoes (how this is possible, I still dont know) and the owner/manager was very accommodating to helping us get the shoes back. THANK YOU!

Their food was really good, although, they did forget a part of our order. But they are very very busy. If you plan to eat here, arrive an hour early. Even if youre ordered ahead for pickup or take out, arrive early and expect to wait because this place is super busy. They do have a drive-through window for pickups also! Wish I knew that before dragging my kids in to wait. Its small but its good. We had the ribs, country fried steak; their fries are delicious!

So we discovered this place on our way home from the trails. We got pulled pork BBQ sandwiches, fries and baked beans To-Go. Sat out back in picnic area. This is only BBQ place to get it ALL right. Even the fries were fresh and crispy. The BBQ sandwiches were the best! We were greeted immediately and had ordered right away. Must check this place out- real BBQ that gets everything right!! Outstanding Food, Waitresses, and other Staff. Such a great price for the food and for the quality. The food is quite prompt on days that its not so crowded, and its a reasonable wait for the days that they are really busy. The Waitresses are friendly, and the Blue Grass music on Fridays is wonderful. Definitely worth the money and time.

Delicious! I had the spicy chicken sandwich. It was spot on. My sister loved her bbq plate too. They could have a better selection of craft beer but it was good. Would definitely recommend and would go back if i was in town for a while. (Service was great too! No empty glasses and my server had a party come in right behind us.)

Our experience could not have been better. Hawg Wild provided a pig for our company outing. They provided baked beans, cole slaw and mac and cheese. Everyone I worked with was pleasant and helpful. The pig was delicious as were the sides. We will probably make "a Hawg Wild Pig Picken" an annual event.

Hawg Wild Barbeque is a Great BBQ Restaurant!!! Very clean establishment. Great staff. Excellent food. Fair prices. Try the Hush Puppies, theyre one of the few places that still has traditional hush puppies (instead of pre-made mass produced pups like other restaurants have started serving)!!

With the raving reviews about this place I was looking for something memorable. I was dissapointed. Dont get me wrong, the food was good (if not very hot), the service was acceptable, but it just didnt feel all that authentic. Im sure I will have forgotten about this place by tomorrow.

just moved to Brevard from Wisconsin. Did the take out on ribs and smoked chicken while waiting on the moving company to get our stuff here. Great food, atmosphere and really friendly staff. Dont forget to get the chocolate chip cookies (perfect ending for great food) John

actually these guys have a couple of different kinds of barbeque. Dry rub and a southern 1 more of a honey, sweet, and that kind of thing. both of them very good they also have a number of good side dishes. Hush Puppies are Excellenent , and of course sweet tea!

The food is amazing! I had the pulled pork sandwich and my husband had the chicken wings and the large pulled pork dinner plate. The food was hot, the service was excellent (our server was Mel), and the atmosphere was very funky and pleasant. Highly recomend.

We were from out of state and decided to stop in after visiting the Pisgah National Forest. Food was very good! I recommend the fried pickles. They are amazing. Our waitress was great and on top of everything. Its a must go if you are from out of state!

The smoked chicken was excellent. My husband enjoyed the chopped pork. I liked that you could chose eastern bbq vs. Western bbq sauce. Close to sliding rock. Nice place to get warm food after swimming in the cold water. Wait staff was friendly.

Went here while on vacation this summer. Awesome food. Great service. We got there early and had no problems with our party of 12. By the time we left the line was out the door. Brought some bottles of sauce home and it was great too

If you get the Big Burger and the fries, DONT get an appetizer! Its a lot of food, and it tastes wonderful. Wife always orders the ribs. She loves them. Very courteous service here. One of our favorite places to eat in Brevard.

As a northerner I dont know much about much but this is some damn good BBQ. After a big day riding in Pisgah there is nothing better then some meat medicine from Hawg Wild. Staff is properly friendly as well.

We love the food and the staff. We visit at least five times a year, more if we can manage it, since it is about 50 miles over the mountain from our home! The ribs are fabulous, and even better the next day!
