I went in to get some fudge and ice cream with the family. The employee was sitting out front smoking when we arrived. She ran in, washed her hands and waited on us to order. My four year old stood on her tiptoes and touched the glass on the display case. Her eyes bright with excitement. The employee immediately told my daughter not to touch her glass. It was very rude. My daughter ran off, scared and feeling like she was in trouble. We got her one scoop, but decided to skip spending any more money in there. Luckily there is more fudge and ice cream in the same strip. Its a shame that such a cute shop has rude service.

Went by at ~2pm on a Wednesday and all lights were off and store was closed. Seemed like half the stores in the strip were closed.Not sure if they are just regularly closed in the middle of the day or what, I would assume not since theres plenty of other ice cream and coffee places nearby. Went a 8th of a mile up the road for ice cream and honestly I dont know that this place could have matched what we got instead. It was great. Loss for this place because they lose business and theres great competition nearby.

We were out late and wanted something sweet. Everything else was closed, but this place was still hopping at 10:15pm. Great, cozy, family friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend the brownie batter and salted carmel ice cream flavors. My new favs! I am kind of glad I didnt find this place when we first got here- I would have eaten nothing but ice cream our whole vacation! It seemed to be family run, and the staff was very helpful and friendly.

I have been at Oak Island for three weeks now and I have tried three ice cream shops and I have to say this is the best! That ice cream was amazing and the customer service was also outstanding. We met the owner and he was very congenial and personable. For the rest of the time that I am on the island I will be eating at Tropical Treats!

We LOVE this place! You cant beat the variety and everything weve tried has been excellent. They have smoothies, frozen drinks, coffee, cappuccino, baklava, soft serve, fudge, ice cream, Italian ice, and dipping dots. The owners are also extremely warm and welcoming and find little things to make coming an even better experience.

Fantastic service! I like to try different flavor a and instead of the eye roll I normally get they kept saying "oh this is my favorite try this one!" Delicious ice cream! I ended up with the oatmeal cookie and my husband loved chocolate peanut butter cup. Endless choices! Highly recommend!

COFFEE CRUNCH, DIPPED IN A CHOCOLATE WAFFLE CONE. The best!!!! Plus, they have an ice cream flavor savor that they stick on the bottom of the cones, preventing no mess! Every ice cream shop should have this. Great place with a ton of options and flavors.

Id give a 0 star if possible. Very rude. Lady cussed while on the phone while we were waiting in line with children. Very bad customer service. We went down the strip to Burlington Outlet Homemade Ice Cream. It was wonderful & great service.
