A+++ - Atmosphere, Ambiance, Aesthetics ON POINT. Exactly what you hope for in a nightclub experience. This club is completely different from any other nightclub in the sense that they obviously know how to cater to todays demand in both expectation of service and product. The VIP sections ACTUALLY feel like a VIP table, stanchions separating the tables from the dancefloor or walk-through areas, and the service is not only fast, but willing to go the extra mile to make sure all VIP clients are completely accommodated and comfortable. Pricing is not inflated just because they are the "newer" spot (which I CERTAINLY appreciate as being someone who is the target demographic of Kandy Bars clientele, meaning I go where the music is good, the place feels inviting and beautiful, and I pay for my own drinks). There are 2 fully staffed bars, one in the elevated VIP area and another as soon as you walk in. ALSO - theres nothing small about this venue. There is a TON of space to dance and mingle, between the space around the main bar, the dancefloor, the spacious veranda outside, and all the of the spaces in between. Personally, I prefer a VIP table experience, so I also have the space at my table, where all my friends also are, and my cocktail knows my drink preference. But thats just me !! In closure - Kandy Bar is the best nightclub in Charlotte. You will NOT be disappointed. Enjoy !! <3

So last night my friends and I experienced something that made my heart break and at the same time made me see red. We went to the Epicentre in Charlotte, NC and attempted to enter a bar called Kandy bar. It was a group of about 8 black girls and 1 black guy. They told us we could not enter because we were not members so they made us leave. Well of course I asked the group of white girls behind us if they were members and they said no you dont need a membership to get in. Ummmm? So i guess the membership was you had to be white? So me and my sister stayed there for several minutes to watch the line and of course they made every black person in that line leave and continued to only let Caucasians in. I was heartbroken, angry, pissed, honestly I was mad as hell. In case yall a**holes dont know my money spends just like everyone else. People are so blind. They say racism dont exist. Well my friends and I experienced it first hand. Also, the black guy with dreds tried to get in with a group of white girls and because they ask the bouncer if he could come in with them. The bouncer made them leave as well. ..smh! #boycottKANDYBAR##PLEASESHARE#

I went there for my birthday and the staff was insanely rude. The bouncer did not even give my friend the time of day when she had a simple question. The bartender asked my other friend if he was going to tip, so my friend said, "now Im not". The bartender then proceeded to tell him "to go bother someone else". Im sure not everyone who works there could be this awful, but some of them need a serious lesson on customer service. Not to mention, the drinks were extremely over-priced for how low quality they were. As a cherry on top, the next day I was notified by my bank that someone had tried to charge $600 at Nike on my debit card. Of course, I cant be sure it was someone who worked here... but its pretty fishy how Kandy was the only bar I went to that night where the bartender held my card to keep a tab open and magically the next day someone tries to go shopping on my debit card.

Went on Thanksgiving 2016. I was concerned about going because I heard of them being racist towards African Americans a couple of months prior but they were the only place open while I was visiting family in the Charlotte area. We got in with no problem at all but what caught my attention was that the lady that took our money at the front door popped up at the bar talking to a bartender. That bartender she was talking to made his way over to us asking if we were drinking. We ordered drinks and had no problems with anyone, I just have never seen someone that takes the money at the door leave the door. Other than that the club is very small not too much room to move around. I personally will never go back to Kandy Bar but I now have their "membership" card so I can always get back in.

Seems like if youre not a member youll get treated as if youre nothing. I have a huge budget to plan an event, and was looking for a location uptown. I was at the front and this nice lady said ask if she could help us. I asked her if I can take a look at the place and she was nice enough to allow us to do so. As I was walking around this tiny, rude, power to the head lady comes up and says "member cards please?" With a terrible attitude. I said the lady said we can look around, is that ok? She quickly responded, "no you have to go". Seems like I got judged, and she wasnt a fan of my presence. Well little did she know that I was insterested in renting the space out. Be careful how you treat people, you never know what they have planned. Especially in the Charlotte area.

What can I say? Clubs are clubs, Nothing new. Im a Charlattean and I came with my girls for drinks and a table. Honestly though, im not really into the club scene anymore. Sadly im too busy with school work and trying to graduate from college then to go and spend ridiculous amount of money to drink and dance. They need to put up a huge sign "members only" so the line can move faster. I think the popular place is still Suites because of the view. However, this is not a bad place but the bouncers are arrogant. And if you are going to have a conversation forget it unless youre going to be outside.

Was here on a few occasions and have to say this place is beautiful. I came on a Wednesday with some colleagues just for some drinks and dessert. It was more of a relaxed atmosphere but perfect for what we were there for. The bartender told me to come back on the weekend when the night club opens and a few of us did. She put us on her guest list which was nice and we had no problem getting in. Saturday was really busy and we had a lot fun! Definitely coming back. If you like a nice upscale environment this is the place to be.

Though Kandy may yet seen pretentious at times, despite its overtly modest $1 membership fee, this is the classy, frugal peoples club of Charlotte. With a premier atmosphere and a groundbreaking soundtrack, this club is sure to attract the Charlatteans most in-tune to first rate entertainment. Personally, I give this club an easy 9/10. Its Charlottes first REAL club and the professional quality of bouncers like Big Al make this place a 10/10. Thus I have to give it a 10/10 stars. Clubs of Charlotte, take notice!

I love Kandy Bar!! Always such a fun time whenever I go. Wide dance floor and 2 separate bars on each side of the bar. Theres also a small outside area even with tables and chairs to smoke. It can get a bit chaotic on the weekends as a club but I mean thats what you go for. So much energy and liveliness. And nothing is really overpriced necessarily if you just order normal drinks. There are attire requirements but I always wear pants so I never have a problem. Definitely on the higher end of quality clubs
