I went to Bricks today for the first time and had the Sunday brunch. My friends raved about it and couldnt believe I hadnt been there. The service was excellent. The waiter was very conscientious and checked on us throughout our visit. When the food came my eyes got big. The plate was overflowing with food, pretty well presented given the amount of the food. I had the crab and shrimp egg benedicts. It was good. I didnt eat all of my waffles fries. They were good but a bit too seasoned for me. SO I had room left for desert. I ordered the bourbon bread pudding. When the waiter brought the dish it was love at first sight. The presentation was magnificent! The dish it was served on was rectangle and was large enough for two people. It was to die for. I am so glad my mother wasnt there because it was so exciting the only thing one could do to calm down would be to slap their mother. And you can imagine where that would lead. Im not a die hard sweet eater. But, when I go back to Bricks I will definitely order the Bourbon Bread pudding again.

We arrived in the off hours of 3:30PM. Service is fantastic. Absolutely loved the waitress (Shannon). Ordered the Pulled Pork Nachos, bring friends because these will give 4 people a run for their money. The Guinness came in a Miller glass but was very full both times and a nearly perfect pour each one. I had a 10 piece Buffalo style fried shrimp. Wife was loaded by the Nachos and opted to just have Sweet potato fries. The Shrimp was delicious with a very nice buttery Buffalo flavor that didnt burn or overpower the shrimp. Desert A minor disclaimer, I dont eat bread pudding. Its not that I dont think it tastes good, I just dont care much for it. Having said that, we had the Bourbon Bread pudding - for two. Did I mention this is for two? Well, bring your appetite and two friends with their appetites. I wonder if these folks know what a small portion is? Oh, and by the way, its Alamode. I enjoyed it and did my best to eat only my proper share. I will return some day.

Food is ubelievable and portions are ridiculous. Love to see a menu with creative liscense for traditional items. One of the best restaurants I have eaten at in the U.S.. The service left a lot to be desired though. Our server was not only training a new staff member, but was tweaked out his mind. I have quite a few restaurants in Charlotte and it was quite obvious to both my wife and I that he was editing the tabs in the pos system for customers who paid cash to take off items and pocket extra money. This is such a great restaurant that I hope the owner catches on quickly to this guys scam before he teaches other servers and puts this place out of business. Cant remember the servers name, but if the owner reads the reviews the server was a tall white male and I believe our table was number 3 tonight. Our tab was originally $80 but after giving him a $100 bill our final ticket was $36.

My family and I are going Gluten Free. I called the restaurant before we arrived to see if they offer a Gluten Free menu. I spoke with the chef himself and he said he will be happy to offer anything off the menu as Gluten Free. When we arrived, our server informed the chef of our desire to eat Gluten Free. He personally came to our table and explained in detail what we may/may not order. Our kids were skeptical at first, then our meals arrived, and they were blown away. My one son said, " this is my favorite Gluten Free place ever". All five of us had a wonderful dining experience. THANK you so much for being so accommodating to my familys needs. We also had a special "sweet" treat made especially for us and it was all GF!! My family will DEFINATELY be coming back. THANK you to the server and chef that took such good care of my family. You have won us over!!

The best overall menu in Beaufort, by far. I have never had a dinner that wasnt fantastic. The regular menu has lots of great choices, but the Chefs specials will always amaze. Anythings good, but my favorites include the Beef Tips and the Mediterranean Salad (with a steak on top!) The atmosphere is friendly, and the tables and booths are comfortable. April/May and September through November are great times to eat out on the front porch. My only disappointment with Bricks has been lunchtime. Ive arrived for lunch a couple times in the past where the service was sub-par, I had to wait a very long time, or the wrong order arrived. Ive never had this problem at dinner-time, so I go elsewhere for lunch. Still, you cannot beat the incredible food at Bricks. I love this place.

I have never experienced such a display of incompetence on every facet of a service . The hostess was not at the podium to seat us for over 20 minutes , once we were seated the waitress did not take our order for almost another 20 minutes , our food came out over and hour later all 5 of the dishes ordered were incorrectly made and cold , our waitresses did not know how to deal with the problems with the food and when we asked for a manager we waited over 10 minutes before actually going and getting him out of the back at which time he told us he had plenty of other customers he needed to seal with in a nearly empty establishment . Moral of this story Avoid it at ALL COST, POOR SERVICE , STAFF , FOOD AND EXPERIENCE , DO NOT EAT HERE

BEST STEAK I HAVE EVER HAD!!! Ive been to tons of "Steakhouse" restaurants, Assaya(not sure if spelled correctly) is the best Saute Chef i have ever encountered, 1st time I came to Brick on boundary I had the steak and fell in love, went back the next day around 1200 I ordered the steak and I was devastated, just wasnt the same, ended up being a different chef during the day. So a few weeks later i decided to drive 4 hours from where i was back to Beaufort to try the steak again.. and my god it was just like the first time I had it. The most amazing flavorful perfectly cooked mouth watering steak I have ever and will ever have!! Highly recommend this fine establishment to everyone!! Please tip the chef!!

I would put this restaurant into the Sports Bar category - booths surrounding a central bar with dim lighting and TVs everywhere broadcasting just about every sport available. It was relatively quiet, and overall a pleasant experience. Service was outstanding - order was exact, they kept my drink topped-off, and waitresses were very friendly. Iced tea was very weak, and the food was good, but not all that special. The house salad was better than most, and the Country Fried Steak looked delicious, but tasted pretty typical. You do get generous servings for the price.

I give them three stars only because the food isnt bad and some of the waitresses are friendly. I am more of a bar customer though, and the bar service is absolutely horrible. Indifferent young women seem to be the norm in bartending these days, but this place has more than its share. There doesnt seem to be a bar manager of any kind. The women spend most of their time gathered at the server station gabbing away. It never occurs to them to talk to the customers. On a recent Friday at 6pm I was the only bar customer. Go figure.
