Great lunch spot for authentic Korean dishes. The locals recommended this place. Its right off the busy Richmond Highway road and you cant miss the bright yellow Kimchi House sign. We ordered the Dolsot Bibimbap. It was delicious! You get the hot clay pot that makes the rice at the bottom crunchy. It comes a bit dry with vegetables and meat, but with the added Banchan and the Ssamjang spicy sauce youll get rid of the dry texture. We ordered our food and it came to our table in less than 10 minutes. My only complaint is the Bibimbap is a bit pricey. $12 for some rice, vegetables and meat is a little high it should be closed to $9. Theres plenty of parking in the front and great for families with all the large party seating. If your in the Alexandria area and you dont want to drive to Annandale for Korean food this is the spot. Ill be back to try their BBQ.

My girlfriends dad loves this place and it was actually the first Korean food I ever had. Ive been to Kimchi House 4 times total and have loved it each time- really nice people, very relaxing and fun setup, and a diverse menu. Even if you order the same thing each time youre there its a little different each time. I also like how if you order a "spicy" dish theyll ask if youd like it mild instead, its really like youre eating at home. I think they grow a lot of their ingredients on-site at the restaurant but dont quote me on that. It certainly tastes like they do! I guess the bulgogi is their flagship dish but I always dig into the seafood, its very authentic and sensory. And of course the kimchi.

This place is only 5 minutes away. I was curious to try it. its small which makes it intimate, and very friendly. The food is amazing. I went with 2 individuals who lived in Korea and used to whine about not finding authentic Korean food. They dont whine anymore! Exceptional!!!! On a side note, a great place for a date. Its intimate, very cute decor, friendly service, great food and atmosphere. Youll love it. I recommend the beef bogoggi (probably misspelled that) and the fried dumplings. YUM!!!!

Christmas decorations hung year round. This cozy little Korean restaurants serves mediocre Korean-style food... authentic? Not so much. The kim chi served with the meal wasnt the best I have ever had, but the Katsu Don was decent. I havent tried any other Korean restaurants in the area, yet. If you are looking for a Korean food fix and live in the area, it might be worth a try.

Kimchi House is great. The #1 thing is the adorable owner! Shes wonderful. If youre a regular, be sure to put your photo on the bulletin board. Im a Korean girl and get hugs every time I come in. They have a garden and grow a lot of their own vegetables, so its fresh. My husband HATES any weird food but he can eat Kimchi House!

I hopped out of my car after dealing with abysmal Route 1 Alexandria traffic and entered some corner dive in Seoul Korea. The staff was welcoming, the decor teleported me 7,000 miles away, and the food? Well Ive been ordering pickup every other Friday for 3 years. Which reminds me I need to go pickup my order.

spent 18 months in Korea while in the army and truly appreciate the food. was glad to see a restaurant that prepared what I missed, but while consuming a dish, a cockroach was in my food and I havent eaten their since and I ate there regularly, truly dissappointed.

This is by far the best Korean you will ever eat! Dont be afraid by the outward appearance of the building, inside is extremely clean and offers a contemporary Korean theme. The owners grow all their own vegetables and the service is quick and friendly!!
