This is without a doubt my favorite coffee place in town. The seating is a little sparse and mostly made up of two-tops which is great for all the singles working at their computers. There is a little gathering space in the back of the shop but I would not recommend it for group gatherings as it seems pretty quiet in there. The coffee is great though. The food is ok but personally would not head there if I wanted a snack. I would give them 5 stars but they cant make a real scone.

Relaxed atmosphere, clean environment, never loud (when Ive been there), kind baristas, awesome typography/chalk art as the menu, and a killer iced lavender vanilla latte. Whats not to love? At times, it can get pretty packed, but Ive always managed to find a seat or a table (usually visiting with someone else). Great choice for an afternoon where you need to work on your computer or a meet up with a friend - not the best if youre hoping to meet with a group.

Both times Ive been to Charlotte Ive come here and have been impressed both times. Everything coffee-wise is done right and is made in-house. Not only is the coffee super solid but the staff goes above and beyond. Theyre collecting money for a local friend who needs a little help and when I commented on the good music, the barista ON HIS OWN came to my table a bit later with a list of the artists on the playlist. Support this place.

This place is the epitome of what I think of when I think about coffee shops. The coffee is excellent, the baristas/staff are friendly and knowledgeable about their coffee, and the baked goods are always fresh and high quality. I would go here probably every day if it were closer to where I lived! If you can find a table, it is an excellent place do get work done. Im not sure I can think of how Central Coffee could improve?

This is my favorite coffee shop in Charlotte. Staff are wonderful, very personable and know a huge majority of customers by name. Feels like I havent left home every morning when I walk in the door. The coffee is always superb. I recommend the light roast with a shot of espresso, they call it the redeye and It does the job for me multiple times a week. Cant go wrong with Central Coffee!

Best coffee in Charlotte hands down. The baristas are friendly and personable. I typically order their in-house quiches--ham and red pepper! While I typically order their drip coffees, their espresso drinks are on target with perfectly frothed milk (you can tell by the cup art they are able to produce with it). When I am in the area, there is no question where I will get my coffee.

Great little spot for great coffee. Atmosphere is great if you are alone and want to get some work done-- if you can find a seat. Not great for having a meeting. Small narrow seating area with all hard reflective surfaces makes it difficult to talk quietly enough to be private. The central shorty is tasty and the homemade baklava is wonderful.

Locally owned establishment with serious coffee with an urban look and feel. Met the owner who was knowledgeable and very helpful. Try the cold brew on tap - one of the best I have tasted. Atmosphere is cool with brick walls and eclectic art. Highly recommend this place as opposed to the typical chains.

Great place to study, chat & drink hot/cold beverages. The food choices are dim, only sweets & carbs. For those of us that want to snack healthy this is not the place. NO fruit, oatmeal, 100% smoothies, nothing. I probably wont study here again, but I would meet a friend here for a quick meeting.....

Favorite local coffee in town. Gotta get the Central Shorty and baklava. Also their frappachinos are extremely good. All the other coffee is great. Awesome atmosphere! Only downside is small seating area but they are expanding to South End of summer 2016 with larger seating!

I wouldnt recommend this place at all. On more than one occasion while visiting White Rabbit, Ive seen an old man yelling at customers in the parking lot as he declared "I own the building". There are many other coffee shops along Central Ave thatre worth your business.

I usually just run in for a drip coffee on my way to work because its the best in town, but if I have a few extra minutes, Ill get a dirty chai or another perfectly crafted espresso drink. I love this place, the friendly people, homemade goods & convenient location.

In Charlotte, there is a serious lack of good coffee shops that are fun to hang out and talk. Central Coffee is one of the only places I consider a real coffee shop where you could hang out, relax, enjoy a cup of joe, and talk. Definitely one of my favorites.

Central Coffee provides a great spot for business or social meetings. Jimmy has done a good job creating a space that allows patrons to relax & savor a cup of great coffee! The fireplace makes a great addition on cold & rainy days.

Hands down some of the best coffee in Charlotte! Theyve developed a great cold brew that I think is just great first thing in the morning right out of the fridge! Also they make a fantastic French Press!

ok coffee. cold brew is great but espresso drinks are all over the map. One day the lattes are great and the next they are thin and watery. the espresso inconsistencies prevent me from being a regular.

Excellent local coffee shop in Midtown. Quaint with decent amount of sitting space to read or do homework. Great selection of drinks. Small parking lot makes parking an issue if they are crowded.

I am not a huge coffee drinker, but the first time I tasted the Brazilian blend I was in love. Now, since the Brazilian is no longer produced, the Mexican Organic is at the top of my list!

Good coffee and relaxing atmosphere. Can be pretty busy at times when it comes to seating thus they have the option to share a table with a stranger. Nice touch.

A tiny retail footprint hides one of Charlottes top coffee shops. House made baked goods and Jimmy knows how to do espresso right. You wont be disappointed.

Nice people. I had a dirty chai. It was not over-sweetened, like a certain chain whose name I dont even have to mention because everybody knows who it is.
