I stumbled onto this cafe about a month ago and have been coming almost every weekend (always at the N Tryon location). Today I took my mom and my 3 boys after we completed a vigiurs 30 minute walk in the area. Once we sat and got settled I asked one of the employees about an item on the menu and soon after approached the register to place an order. One of my boys walked up and asked if there was a bathroom he could use because the door was locked. I asked the same employee that I asked about the menu for the bathroom key and his response was "I mean its for customers but I could have the key". I thought that was a peculiar response especially with me standing at the register after asking about items on the menu. I went ahead and ordered for my boys so that my mom and I could take our time and order something we havent tried before. I approached the counter a second time to order and ordered the waterbean sandwich (which was very good

Wow!!! What a great experience! The staff was super friendly! I walked in as a first time customer they told me to take my time. I told the lady I had seen a picture online of some iced thing with bubbles and she immediately knew what I was talking about. She asked a few more questions and I told her to make me her favorite flavor! She really knew her tea! It was amazing! It was quiet and the music was relaxing! The half hour I was waisting went by way too fast!!!! What a great place!!!!

Coffee and environment inside is great. I asked to speak with management who was not present. My guest and I sat outside and the traffic noise was sufficient enough that we stopped talking a few times until the traffic subsided. I asked why the nice gated patio in back had no furniture on it as that would have provided some break from Tyron. Staffer said it was where they kept their garbage and trash. Might be worth looking into changing that. Thanks

Up and coming area in First Ward. Free parking at a coffee shop in uptown! Score. Very cozy and inviting inside with views of the big buildings and a large patio out front. Quality coffees with good bean and tea selections. Espresso, auto-drip, Aeropress, pour-over, cold brew, and siphon. Something for everyone. Impressive.

Excellent! Good atmosphere, friendly staff, great coffee. I was even able to choose my espresso variety. My only complaint is that the place had a weird smell inside, what I can only compare to a recently-sanitized bathroom. Didnt detract from the experience but its not what I expect when I walk in a coffee shop.

Coffee is really good but I was told I could spend Bitcoin there online and they had no idea what it was when I got there. I still think they accept it but probably didnt train the girl who was working. I will change this to 5 Stars if they start accepting Bitcoin like other Waterbean coffees.

Always quiet when I come in..Even with people around. The music is...Hard to explain, but makes me want to Shazam its with every song that plays. The coffee is great! Blueberry muffins warmed, are to DIE FOR!! This place has the feel of what a coffee house SHOULD be.

Hidden Gem! Excellent service, GREAT coffee selection. Hometown feel with speedy courteous service and much better than the local chain coffee spots. They even have a drive thru!
